I love this song so much!! Have to move to it. P.S. 1980s videos will always be unsurpassed for pure cheesiness, energy, creativity and total nonsense. 1980s rocked!!
I became a woman to this song😂 it came out when I was 11 or 12 & I must've sang it at least 10-20x a day til my brothers cried to our mom😂 but once I was 18 & hitting clubs, loved it all over!! 🙌80s & Mother Nature🥰💃
Younger folks who can't understand why Michael Jackson just BLEW UP (compared to other people) in the 80's need only look at this video. Artists and labels just weren't putting much effort into the medium before he did. So many 80's videos are laughable now (not the music itself AT ALL), but MJ's videos (starting with when the "Thriller" album came out in late 1982) still hold up. He changed EVERYTHING.
Before naming themselves "The Weather Girls", Martha Wash and Izora Armstead began as back-up singers for Sylvester. Check out his song "Dance (Disco Heat)" and you'll hear the 2 of them out singing him on the recording, which according to lore, was exactly the sound Sylvester was going for. Eventually, the struck out on their own as Two Tuns of Fun. Martha Wash would go on to sing "Everybody Dance Now", "You're My One And Only (True Love)", and "Strike It Up".
I don't go out in the rain anymore looking for men, LOL I already got my man. But never stops me from watching out the window, just in case. LOL LOL LOL
I remember this song! I just didn't know who sang it. I always thought it was by the Pointer Sisters. Maybe they also did it? doesn't matter, it's really good. Love it. LOL I wonder, where are they now?
Martha Wash featured in disco hits : Make u sweat by C+C music factory, but was lip synced with models in the video and not credited with the song then was able to sue for the credit.Ghosting in music started I 50's thru to MilliVanille era
