He meant they did not trust in His finished works for their salvation, they went to establish their right standing with God based on their own works and righteousness. They were NEVER SAVED, NEVER BORN AGAIN. Therefore were NEVER KNOWN. NAHUM 1:7 says the Lord KNOWS all who TRUST in HIM. The Father's WILL concerning our salvation is to BELIEVE ON CHRIST for our salvation, NOT look to our own works and deeds for acceptance of God.

This is one of the passages that scares me.
@brucewayne9831
@brucewayne9831 2 года назад
why does this scare you. Jesus doesn’t say cryptic messages to catch you out, it’s very clear. “This is the will of my Father who is in heaven” - “that you believe on him who he has sent” - Jesus. “WHO-SO-EVER believe on him has everlasting life.” That’s from the moment you’ve believed in him forever. To put your faith in Jesus is to be saved full stop. Full stop. Full stop. One you’ve done that you can never, ever, ever loose your salvation. With that being said the context like those Jews around him in those days was people can acknowledge who he was, they called him, master, teacher, lord, some out of respect others disingenuously. Theoretically speaking, actually, it’s not even theory, it happened and Jesus speaking obviously of all the occasions says that people will say or have said “in the name of Jesus” this and or that…Luke 9:49 describes how John said to Jesus that someone was driving out demons in Jesus’, prior to being filled the spirit, they could do that whilst Jesus was alive. This, Gabriela, is the will of God. Believe in Jesus. John 6:40, John 17:3.

Good job! I just want to add that Jesus was quoting from Psalms 6 when He said depart from me you workers of iniquity. Anytime there is a reference to an Old Testament passage, we should look it up to help get a fuller understanding... I'll paste it below... 1 O Lord, do not rebuke me in Your anger, nor discipline me in the heat of Your anger. 2 Be gracious to me, O Lord, for I am weak; O Lord, heal me, for my bones are terrified. 3 My soul is greatly troubled, but You, O Lord, how long? 4 Return, O Lord, rescue my soul. Save me for the sake of Your lovingkindness. 5 For in death there is no remembrance of You; in Sheol who will give You thanks? 6 I am weary with my groaning; all night I flood my bed with weeping; I drench my couch with my tears. 7 My eye wastes away from grief; it grows weak because of all those hostile to me. 8 Depart from me, all you workers of iniquity; for the Lord has heard the voice of my weeping. 9 The Lord has heard my supplication; the Lord accepts my prayer. 10 May all my enemies be ashamed and greatly terrified; may they turn back and be suddenly ashamed.

The statement “ I never knew you” could also be read as “ You never knew ME” because it is impossible to know someone without them equally knowing you. This is what Jesus is really getting at here. It’s the difference between having a religious faith in Him and having a personal faith in Him.

Recite the scriptures, even when you feel bad or say the opposite of how you feel. If you feel bad say Wow, I feel wonderful, energetic and alive! (6x's in a row for 3 days). This is what faith is. Faith is believing the opposite of what the devil will do and that is put pressure on you in the physical realm. He does that through feelings ( hint: You are not your feelings), bills that show up in the mail ( threatening you), and other stuff. Threats, threats, threats = physical pressure. Ask God to turn it around, building character while you do so. Pay what little you can consistently. Be truthful even if it hurts. Look at this scripture and recite over and over despite how you feel (Jeremiah 29:11). God is working His plans to turn your situation into good. You won't see it right away, that's why it's called Faith. Faith = Trust. Remember God is good. God is good ALL THE TIME! There is a worship song by Steven Samuel DeVassy "God is Good." Sing this worship song until you have it memorized. Why? Because we need reminding when strange trials (problems) infiltrate our lives and we say "where is God?" Trials are to work our belief in God and that is will we stand or fold when our physical life is threatened ( that is just a whisper meaning this physical life is temporary. Does the satisfaction of this Life have more power over us than God's eternal promises, that never change. Secondly, problems ( common to everyone like; how am I going to pay the rent, car note, tuition, overcome this illness are designed by the devil to push us out patience for God's promises to land on our doorstep. He'll hinder whom you need hindered and give you favor, with whom you need. God's goodness is good ALL the Time. He can do Anything. All things are possible with God. Stick with Him. He'll see you through and you will have a beautiful, courageous testimony. Testimonies come from fiery trials.

Tell that to the thief on the cross that Jesus saved because he believed and then died with no good works. Stop adding works to faith to be saved and leading people away from salvation because they believe their added good works is going to get them saved. Good works should be done after being saved but not required for salvation or to stay saved or to risk losing salvation. Romans 4 4 Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt. 5 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.
@matthewshepard5956
@matthewshepard5956 2 месяца назад
Faith without works is a dead faith , true faith always produces works because you actually love God when regenerated. The thief on the cross would have surely produced works if he had lived longer. You are right that our works don’t save us, but works do matter, so much so that the son had to live a perfect life for us. Works are a by product of a Christian, the result of conversion.

That attitude which REFUSES God to rule their/our lives. They "believed " but trusted theIr lips to "save" them. And 3. Those sinners who understood and appropriated the Good news of the Kingdom. Believed in One True Living and Loving God of both love and justice. Understood that they violated His RIGHTEOUS laws, ( SIN) repented and trusted Jesus as Lord who then becomes theIr/ our Saviour. There is only ONE type of Christian and that is anyone that has been born again of a Godly seed aka “Incorruptible seed “ 1 Peter 1:23. That true believer has the seed of Christ 1 John 3:9. The same DNA of Christ himself. An incorruptible seed never dies because it is in Christ. Any man IN CHRIST is a new creation. 2 Corinthians 5:17. The new birth does not reverse itself . Those born in original sin are sons of Adam with his “corruptible seed” in Union with Adam Romans 7 and 8. Under the law of sin and death. Every sin man has ever committed or ever will has been forgiven upon receiving Christ :”1 John 2:12. Forgiven is in perfect tense( action completed in past with results that go on forever). This passage doesn’t apply to a born again believer . Only false professing believers

I knew that it meant die to myself and give the rest of my life to Jesus. I finally did it and I know that my life is pleasing to God and I am doing the will of the Father. I did what Peter said we must do in order to know that we will be able to enter the kingdom. 2 Peter 1:5-12 KJV And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; [6] And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; [7] And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity. [8] For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. [9] But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins. [10] Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall: [11] For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

How much time do you spend with Jesus? Any relationship needs to be cultivated. The Holy Spirit is invited into the heart of the believer, it the dwells there and forms your heart into the likeness of Christ. This is what makes repentance possible. Taking time sit quietly in the Word allows the Spirit to guide you. It's all about your heart - for from it flow the issues of life. Thank you for your patience Lord, forgive my stubborness and help me to be obedient to your calling!!

For some reason so many use Paul to Contradict much of what Jesus teaches a true believer must do and be to be counted as a child of God so much as to say we don't even need to listen to Jesus teachings only Paul's teachings because we are gentiles. Fools there are no jews or gentiles anymore there is only those whom God knows through their faith in His Son Jesus who have followed and obeyed His plan for salvation and few it will be that makes up the great multitude in the end in comparison to the majority that will not make it into the Kingdom don't let that be you because some man comes along teaching things contrary to Jesus that sounds good but is false.

I am still a bit confused. I do not want to be judgmental of others and yet I do find myself asking if people around me, including family truly know Him. These people are missionaries and teach others, but in our daily encounters, I see other sides that are very hurtful. Often, we cannot so much as agree on interpretation of scriptures. I keep thinking, are we not connected by the fruits of our spirits? If so, why do I feel like an outsider? I can never say to them, you hurt me without it feeling like a gaslighting situation. So how do I define this? Is it immaturity on their or my part? Or is it the way it feels when I speak to them...as if we do not share Christ likeness? Or am I completely off base to think there is a connection between these behaviors and what this scripture is saying?

@Jen I see where you are coming from and I have faced that problem many times - some people call themselves 'Christians', some in high positions at Church etc., but they deny Christ through their actions. See Titus 1:16 “They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.” These people are 'Christians in name only' and they do not know God or love Him - If they did, they would keep His commandments (John 14:15). These are the people who attend Church on Sunday but the night before they were out going to nightclubs, partying, getting drunk, sleeping with their boyfriend etc. They feel zero godly sorrow and conviction and do not repent nor turn from their wickedness. Maybe 5, 10, 20 years ago they prayed prayer and they started off on their walk with Christ really good but then something happened - they got "chocked" by "cares, riches, pleasures", or things got too hard, or the devil stole the word out of their heart (see the parable about the seed in Luke 8:11-18). Unfortunately these are the branches in John 15 who, even though "in Christ", refuse to produce good fruit. If you read this passage, the fate of such people are too be thrown into the lake of fire. And they are not victims as it was their 'choice' to "quench" and "resist" the Holy Spirit. God gave each one of us free will, He is not going to force us to follow Him. Only His sheep follow Him. The prodigal son had to make a choice to go back home. Timothy 2:19 says "Nevertheless the solid foundation of God stands, having this seal: “The Lord knows those who are His,” and, “Let everyone who names the name of Christ depart from iniquity.” If you call yourself a Christian and name the name of Christ, you need to depart from iniquity and deny the "old man" (who you were before you knew Christ and before the Holy Spirit entered into the equation). Please also note that any 'good work' you do, you are not able to do without Christ! (John 15:5). All your goodness belongs to Him! His Spirit gives you strength to sin less and repent more! That's why we were given the Holy Spirit! We are not saved BY our works but we are saved FOR them. “For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure”(Philippians 2:13). Its Christ in us. We do nothing! We just love God. We love His words (Psalm 118). We love His commandments and "they are not burdensome" (1 John 5:3). His yoke is light and easy. When the Lord tells us to depart from evil and "sin no more" we say yes and Amen! Truly it is freedom! We are freed from our sin! He gives us strength and power to do so! Why go back to the "dogs vomit" (2 Peter 2:22)? No. Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior said "you will know them by their fruit". Good fruit is not the same as bad fruit. Following Christ is not the same as not following Christ. Keeping Gods word is not the same as not keeping Gods word. Born again temples of the Holy Spirit have power to "overcome" sin. And it is not perfection - there is a stark difference between a lifestyle of continual habitual unrepentant sin and someone "born of God" having a stumble. The person "born of God", feels godly sorrow, confesses their sin (1 John 1:9), dusts themself off and goes right back to running the race. This is the born-again reality. I pray that this you and that you are operating in this power. If, using discernment, you think someone you know is 'a Christian in name only' pray for them. Ask God to grant them godly sorrow and repentance. Help that person to know the true Christ and His will, being patient and gentle (2 Timothy 2:24). However, know that sometimes true believers differ in doctrine, so try and avoid pointless conflict (Titus 3:9). Also, each of our journeys look different and each of us are at a different stage so try not to judge. As long as that person is doing their best to follow God, to keep his commandments and walk in faith - give glory to God! But if, something is really wrong in their walk do what James 5:20 says and convert them "from the error"' of their way, saving their soul "from death". For how can you be under grace if you don't do what it teaches (Titus 2:11)? "For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world." Really great books in the Bible that talk about this is the book of James. Also, look at the first and second epistles of Peter. If you are further interested, I also highly recommend the RU-vid Channel: thefigtreeminsitry as they do a really go job discussing what it means to be born-again, turn away from sin and follow after God. This channel has played a massive role in my own salvation. Remember: "few there be that be that find it". If you follow Christ you will lose a lot - friends, family, homes, jobs. You will go through trials and times of difficulty. You might feel that you are all alone, that there is no one who understands. But God does understand and you are not alone. You have a whole cloud of witnesses cheering you on (Hebrews 12:1) and you have family waiting to meet you in heaven! May the Lord bless you Jen! ❤❤

I take that they are believers. Every believer will do works but some do Gold worth works but others straw. The ones who do straw worth work don't enter the kingdom of heaven but are cast outside the kingdom of heaven though they still have eternal life. The known to me is not about accepting the death burial and resurrection but relational in that they didn't spread the Gospel and live as holy as they should have. 1 Corinthians 3:10-15 According to the grace of God given to me, like a skilled master builder I laid a foundation, and someone else is building upon it. Let each one take care how he builds upon it. For no one can lay a foundation other than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ. Now if anyone builds on the foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw- each one's work will become manifest, for the Day will disclose it, because it will be revealed by fire, and the fire will test what sort of work each one has done. If the work that anyone has built on the foundation survives, he will receive a reward. If anyone's work is burned up, he will suffer loss, though he himself will be saved, but only as through fire. None the less who they are is a secondary issue and not a salvation issue. Why they got rebuke is important and we should not rest on the fact that Jesus died for our sins alone since we are required to live a life of fruitfulness.

Jesus came to Earth to show us how to live, how to act and what is required of us to be a follow of him. We are to deny our flesh daily and to have no part in the ways of the world. James 4.4 You adulterers! Don’t you realize that friendship with the world makes you an enemy of God? I say it again: If you want to be a friend of the world, you make yourself an enemy of God. We are to give to the poor and help the needy. Love our neighbour like ourselves. Pray for those who hate us.! Matthew 5.44 But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, Jesus came & taught the people to keep his commandments. The commandments are still VERY much alive today and are not only for the Jewish people but for ALL people . They are a sign covenant. They are a set apart people. Jesus came celebrating the feast days (Passover and resting in Shabbat) we need to be following suit. All tho we are not saved by works we should have every desire to do them because he did them. John 14.15 If you love me, keep my commands. Today Gods set apart feats have been trampled upon & replaces by fake events like Christmas and Easter with absolutely no biblical basis whatsoever ever. You're making the same error the Galatians made, which is why Paul gave them a very stern talking-to, even much more stern than he did with the church in Corinth who were living in blatant and habitual sin. What's required of us is to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, since this is the will of the Father. Period. SHOULD we live right? Of course we should, but that's neither a requirement for salvation nor a requirement to keep salvation. Please show me in Scripture, without ripping verses out of context, where Scripture even says that. Believe upon the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved, Paul told the Philippian jailer. No added requirement. Or did the Lord or His disciples leave a pertinent part out? I don't think so. No, the ones He never knew will be the ones trying to keep the Mosaic Law, who delude themselves that their works count for anything, who don't comprehend that even our best works are filthy rags, as Paul put it. Those who slap the Savior across the face, saying what He did wasn't adequate or enough, they have to add their works and law-keeping to it because they pretend to trust Christ, yet do that terrible thing. Jesus Christ alone is the narrow gate and the strait path. You give lip service about not being saved by works, yet your train of thought, your words and your actions indicate you don't believe that at all, nor have you understood the Gospel of Christ.

@@beautyforashes2230 Wow. The venom in your response is truly the example. When you correct a person, we are commanded in scripture not insult them but in gentleness rebuke them in hope that they may come to know the truth (2 timothy 2:25). It is meant to be done in love. Not accusing them of not knowing or understanding the "gospel of Christ" or them giving "lip service" or them slapping the "Savior across the face". As believers, we can disagree. It's undesirable but it happens. That's life. But we are still brothers and sisters in Christ. So we should treat one another as such. Our fight is not against flesh and blood and it for sure is not against each other. If you are passionate for the truth - great! But the Truth, the Lord Jesus, tells us to love others as we love ourselves. If you held a wrong doctrine would you have someone correct yourself like you did @Lisa? No. You would want them to impartially lay the facts and scriptures in front of you so that you can go on to revise your understanding and make the right choice. You would not want that person to insult you. And if anything, using your own argument, YOU do not understand the Gospel of Christ because if you did, you would do what it says. Christ commands us, in the New Testament, to love our neighbor (John 13:34). If you love Christ you would keep His commandments (John 14:21-26). This applies to us all. Forget works, it comes down to: do you love Christ? If you love Christ you would do what He says, if you do not love Christ you will not do what He says. If you not do what He says, you are instead doing the works of the Devil (1 John 3:8, John 8:44). Pick and chose whose side are you on - the devil or Christ. In Matthew 7:20 Jesus said , "by their fruit you will know them". Jesus said you can tell those who belong to Him because, like obedient sheep they "follow" Him (John 10:4-5) and they "abide in Him" producing good fruit (John 15). Those who do not belong to Christ produce bad fruit and they do not follow Him by definition. If you truly loved Christ you would have good fruit in your life because you would keep His commands. Further, you can never be saved by your good fruit or the keeping of His commands as we are saved by the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ and to say anything less is heresy. But, if you have zero works in you life, are in continual, habitual, unrepentant sin and and produce bad fruit yet still profess to be a Christian - then something is seriously wrong. "What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him?" (James 2:14-17). According to James, our faith is made perfect by works. Jesus said “why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and **do** not the things which I say?” (Luke 6:46). You cannot steamroll over the 'hundreds' of New Testament direct commands and exhortations that tell us to "pluck out", "cast off", "abide", "follow", "depart", "run", "strive", "endure" and think you can ignore them or that they are of little importance. The Word of God is very clear about sin - we are told to me "no" provision for the flesh, to "depart from iniquity", to "flee youthful lusts". James 1:22 says "but be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves". See also Romans 6:2 where it says "What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein? Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life." As shown by Romans 6:2 'living right' is not a requirement for salvation, but it is a INDICATOR of salvation. See also Titus 2:14. If you are not living right nor walking in the newness of life but living a powerless life, enslaved to sin and darkness there is a strong chance you are not born again and do not have the Holy Spirit dwelling in you. That's what Matthew 7:18 means when it says "a good tree cannot bear bad fruit and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit". When you are 'saved' you literally have an "appointment" to go and bear good fruit (John 15:16) by Christ. We are not saved 'by' our works but we are saved FOR them. And these works don't even belong to us! They belong to to Christ because without Him we could do nothing (John 15:5). I do not agree with @Lisa nor do I agree with you. You are trying to remove the speck in you sister's eye while there remains a plank in your own. It's not 'works are needed for salvation' its 'works are needed because of salvation'. For a long time I struggled with this concept because I thought the sin in my life and the lack of fruit, while not the best, was okay. Little did I realize it was a clear sign I wasn't born again, didn't receive the Holy Spirit and was on my way to hell (John 3:5). No, with the Holy Spirit comes power over sin. We are made free and are no longer bondage to the works of darkness because Christ now works in us. May the Lord bless you. If you want to do some research on this by your own I suggest reading the book of James, 1 & 2 Peter as well as Revelation 2-3.

@@pielun1211 I didn't mean to insult, nor was there venom in my response. It's difficult sometimes to get meaning across in text because tone of voice and expression are absent. Yes, as believers we can disagree about non-essential issues. However, the issue of salvation is not a non-essential one, it's one of the core doctrines of Christianity. If a person adds works to salvation in any way, then I don't consider them a brother or sister in Christ because if that's all they've ever believed then they're not saved. This is the same false gospel the Judaizers taught that Paul dealt with in his letter to the Galatians. You don't even know me, yet you make many assumptions about me, like that I advocate living in sin. I don't. Sin has temporal consequences and ruins our witness to a fallen world. However, when it comes to sin, the older I get, the more aware I am of sin in my life and that sin is a condition of our fallen flesh. I don't even mean "obvious" or "big" sins, but sins many aren't even aware of. Boredom is a sin. A moment of fear or worry is a sin. Complaining is a sin. I could go on and on. We'll never be without sin as long as we're stuck in these fallen bodies. Does that mean I'm saying it's hopeless, go sin it up all you want? No, of course not. I don't know why you make that assumption going by what I said.

@@beautyforashes2230 @Beauty for Ashes I know you might not think you are 'advocating living in sin' but when you tell other Christians that their 'works' are not necessary for salvation or keeping salvation, with the implication that they are *optional* - you can do a lot of damage to others and fuel a big misconception. Works are the outward manifestation of the Holy Spirit in you when you are born again. If it is not a good work it is a bad work and vice versa. So, when you make statements like that, the logical conclusion reached by many is that because they are "saved by grace through faith" and not of works, therefor a life with zero works or works of the devil must mean they can still go to heaven - because works aren't necessary for salvation or to keep it. Little do they realize that the implication of their desire to not follow Christ's commandments says everything. In scripture they are referred to as the "wicked and lazy servants" or those servants with the "one talent/ one mina" (Matthew 25:26-27Matthew 25:14-30 , Luke 19:12-27). Atheist's are not servants of the Lord and neither would the Lord give them His precious talents and minas. These are Christians. These are also the lukewarm and if one is "vomited" 'out' of Gods mouth there is no way that at the same time you can be 'in' Christ. I am not saying that you personally live a life of sin or that you think sin is okay. Or that this is you. But this is what other 'Christians' believe in. A vast majority. Some will even tell you, that if you have good works in your life you are the one going to hell because you are trying to earn your salvation. Do you see the problem? To them, a born-again Christian who loves the Lord and keeps His commandments is Lordship salvation or some form of legalism. I agree, its impossible to have no sin in your life and that even the smallest sins deserve death. And without the Lord Jesus Christ, the cross, His blood all of us would be doomed. The difference is that those born-again, still fight the good fight each and every day. They run the race and when the do sin they confess and repent (1 John 1:9). But unrepentant, continual and habitual sin has ETERNAL consequence. That wicked and lazy servants, those one talent/mina servants were thrown into HELL. Sawed in half and thrown into the flames. These are Christians. Those in Revelation 2 are Christians who "trample of the blood of Jesus and count it a common thing" and remain in the things the Lord hates. They refuse to come out of sin. They go "back to the dog's vomit" (2 Peter 2:22). *Romans 6:12-14: Therefore do not let sin* reign in your mortal body so that you obey its evil desires. *Do not* offer any part of yourself to *sin* as an instrument of wickedness, but rather offer yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life; and offer every part of yourself to him as an instrument of righteousness. For *sin shall no longer* be your master, because you are not under the law, but under grace.

I’d like to add a little more detail in that we are all born into a relationship with God when we enter this world. It’s just that it’s the wrong one and not the one that will enable us to enter heaven. John 3:36. makes this clear, and I suggest paying attention particular attention to the word in that verse of either “abides” in the king James or “remains” in most other versions which means the stain of sin and what goes with it remains I with us until God grants us the gift of faith and ability to repent of your sins. Good video. Great subject! My comment is for comment readers to help to clarify. A more clear version for this scripture is the New English Version which shows us that iniquity is lawlessness. Matthew 7:21 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ 23And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’" The most direct answer I found is John 10:27 "My sheep listen to My voice; I KNOW them, and they follow ME." Many think Paul said that the law was done away with. No more commandments? Nope! Be careful of Paul. Peter, who Jesus told to care for his sheep said so in 2Peter 3:14 "Therefore, beloved, since you are waiting for these, be diligent to be found by him without spot or blemish, and at peace. 15And count the patience of our Lord as salvation, just as our beloved brother Paul also wrote to you according to the wisdom given him, 16as he does in all his letters when he speaks in them of these matters. There are some things in them that are HARD to UNDERSTAND, which the ignorant and unstable twist to their own DESTRUCTION, as they do the other Scriptures. 17You therefore, beloved, knowing this beforehand, take care that you are not carried away with the ERROR of LAWLESS people and lose your own stability." In a nutshell what is required is in Revelation 14:12 "Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus." Commandment #4 is to keep the Sabbath. If you think it is Sunday you are following the catholic church. That is their canon 29. "Christians must not judaize by resting on the Sabbath, but must work on that day, rather honouring the Lord's Day; and, if they can, resting then as Christians. But if any shall be found to be judaizers, let them be anathema from Christ." This directly contradicts God's 4th Commandment. What did Jesus say about that? Matthew 5:19 "So then, whoever breaks one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do likewise will be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever practices and teaches them will be called great in the kingdom of heaven. 20For I tell you that unless your righteousness exceeds that of the scribes and Pharisees, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven." Here is the 4th Commandment from Exodus: 20:8 "Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy. 9Six days you shall labor and do all your work, 10but the SEVENTH day is a Sabbath to the LORD your God, on which you must not do any work-neither you, nor your son or daughter, nor your manservant or maidservant or livestock, nor the foreigner within your gates. 11For in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth and the sea and all that is in them, but on the seventh day He rested. Therefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day and set it apart as holy." So if you think that Paul said just pick a day, that would be wrong. Plus you arent to buy or sell on that day. So much for going out to lunch after service. (I miss that!) Here is a scripture that shows how important it is to God. Ezekiel 20:20 "And hallow my sabbaths; and they shall be a sign between me and you, that ye may know that I am the LORD your God." It used to mean the death penalty to anyone who broke the Sabbath. They tried to trap Jesus with it to kill him. Soon the Ten Commandments will be revealed just like when Moses surprised everyone as they danced around the idol in the movie. That day is coming again. Just about everything in the bible repeats. Most will be caught off guard- without oil for their lamps. I struggle trying to keep the Ten Commandments. There are really 613, so I am no holier than anyone. But I dont want anyone to be fooled. So dont believe me. Look into it for yourself. Ron Wyatt found the Ark of the Covenant with the Ten Commandments. Check him out on youtube. Blessings to all who seek truth and Glory to The Most High!

I even read multiple times in my head, out loud, in my head just to try and imprint in my brain it don't work. i want to help spread the gospel but its hard to when one cant remember scripture. how does one go out not memorizing any verses looking stupid asking people do you know Jesus. i guess i fear being judged not pulling people from the fire not spreading the gospel. the people i show videos of prophecy being fulfilled and world news the regular news stations wont show because they are owned by the left, they think I'm a conspiracy theorist. but i know in my heart Jesus is the truth and the way. I go to church i pray i help those who need help. I cant say i don't live each day in fear of gods judgment. Is my fear and reasons justifiable?

Hey! I can understand why you're fearful, it must be hard to really want to do things for God but not be able to. However, I don't think you need to be afraid of being condemned by God, because "there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus." (Romans 8:1). "It is by grace you have been saved, through faith, and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God-- not by works, so that no one can boast." (Ephesians 2:8-9). "The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent." (John 6:29) and many, many other parts of Scripture that make it clear that we are not saved from God's judgement by ANYTHING we can do, because we fall so far short of God's standard that if our salvation depended on us doing good things, no one would be good enough except Jesus himself. Instead, we are ONLY saved by Jesus taking the punishment for our sin on himself. Jesus took all of the condemnation we would have gotten, so now we can truly say that despite what we deserve, if we believe in the One God has sent, we have no condemnation. So while I can understand why you're afraid, and I worry about whether my salvation is secure all the time, you and I don't need to fear any condemnation because of anything to do with what we're doing. If you're doing the work of God-- which Jesus himself said is simply believing in him--, then you're saved from God's judgement, and in the words of Jesus again, "whoever comes to me I will never drive away." (John 6:37b.) Still, it must be incredibly hard not to be able to do things that you want to do out of love for Jesus, like sharing the gospel and remembering Scripture. Something that may be encouraging is Ephesians 2:10, which says that we were "created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do." God has already prepared good works for you to do, which means that even if you have no idea what they'll be or how you're going to be able to do them, God has already planned them in advance-- which means that God HAS good works for you to do. God knows everything you've been through, and understands that you can't remember Scripture. He is still with you and still has plans for you, even though you might not know what they are or how they could actually happen. God used Moses to attempt to convince Pharaoh to let the Israelites out of slavery, even though Moses struggled with speaking. God used David to be Israel's king even though in the beginning he was a tiny shepherd boy and the youngest of a whole bunch of older, stronger brothers. God is able to use you do glorify himself, despite your struggles-- in fact, he may even use your struggles to show how powerful he is! In short, no one who believes that Jesus's death and resurrection has taken away their sin and therefore made them right with God ever has to fear that God will condemn them for their sins. The condemnation already happened two thousand years ago. And despite how it may seem, God does have plans for good works for you to do for him. I will be praying for you, my sibling and friend. I'm sorry for everything that you've been through, and I pray that God looks after you. I pray that he gives you assurance of the fact that through Jesus, you are saved, and that he uses you to glorify himself.

And because of Him, God HAS transferred His perfect righteousness to all who BELIEVE'. Rom 10:4 Also Gal 2:16 '..but the faith OF Jesus, the Messiah! Hís faithfulness, not ours, HAS saved us and we HAVE received God's perfect righteousness'. (as if we've never sinned). 'Even king David himself speaks to us regarding the complete wholeness that comes inside a person when God's powerful declaration of righteousness is heard over our life. Apart from our works, God's work is enough'. Rom 4:6 + Ps 32:1 (the days of covering sin has brought to an end at the cross. It's now removed forever!).

@@eekay5710 I've had this exact discussion for about 7 years now 😄 We are Israel, woven into the olive tree as the wild branch, the new covenant didn't abolish the law, it abolished the condemnation of sin and death. Would we say that the law of honoring your parents is gone too? Of course not. Paul says "shall we sin so that grace may abound? Heaven no, if anything we UPHOLD the law" Replacement theology teaches that the church replaced Israel, it's a new idea, new doctrine, far from biblical. We are descendents of Abraham, that's the gospel, through this one seed Yeshua, we are woven in, into what? Israel. Messiah being The "end"of the law is simply the "bullseye target" the finished perfect example of how we should try to live, it's not the end as in abolished... Matthew 5:17 Yeshua said he did not come to do away with the law. Look into the Hebrew understanding of the covenants 🙂

@@johnlawson6851 Absolutely in agreement in what you shared! Jesus said in John 10:34 'The scriptures cannot be denied or found to be in error.. Matt 5:17,18 Fulfillment of the Law “If you think I’ve come to set aside the law of Moses or the writings of the prophets, you’re mistaken. I have come to fulfill and bring to perfection all that has been written. Indeed, I assure you, as long as heaven and earth endure, not even the smallest detail of the Law will be done away with until its purpose is complete'. This completion was brought to an end at the cross, as the cross has made everything new and fresh. Everything means nothing excluded. Yes, we are the Israel, the real Jew as Rom 2:28,29 have it, plus Gal 6:14-16. 'You are not a Jew if it’s only superficial-for it’s more than the surgical cut of a knife that makes you Jewish. But you are Jewish because of the inward act of spiritual circumcision-a radical change that lays bare your heart. It’s not by the principle of law, but by power of the Holy Spirit. For then your praise will not come from people, but from God himself !' And then the beauty of the law we now wánt to live by. Not to achieve (work for) the righteousness of God, but simply because we received it as a gift from the Father when we believe in the Son! Gal 3:16 + Rom 4:6.. 'We know that the moral code of the law is beautiful when applied as God intended, but actually, the law was not established for righteous people, but to bring conviction of sin to the unrighteous. The law was established to bring the revelation of sin to the evildoers and rebellious, the sinners without God, those who are vicious and perverse, and to those who strike their father or their mother, sinners, murderers, rapists, those who are sexually impure, homosexuals, kidnappers, liars, those who break their oaths, and all those who oppose the teaching of godliness and purity in the church! They are the ones the law is for'. 1Tim 1:8,9 We áll are blessed in the Seed of Abraham, Jesus the Christ! 👌🐑👏 OT - circumcision of the flesh; done by human.
