In her talk, Adya will shed light on how digitalization can be leveraged to break barriers. During the talk, Adya will share the details of her personal story and her experiences as a minority realizing the privilege of digital access. She will explain how digitalization can empower individuals and create opportunities that people otherwise might not have access to. She will also talk about what differentiates the people that are using digitalization to create opportunities from those that are not, especially as we move into a new chapter of the post-pandemic world.
Adya Kumar is a tech enthusiast, strategy leader, engineer, and podcaster with a passion for solving problems through the use of technology. After living and working in India, France, USA and UK, today she calls Bonn (Germany) her home of choice. In her day job, Adya works as a senior management consulting professional for a leading German logistics company. She has extensive leadership experience and expertise in digital transformation, IT, and innovation management. Through her personal journey, research, and international experiences, Adya has explored the ways digitalization has created numerous opportunities for diverse groups of people. In 2021, she founded ‘The Digitalization & Diversity Podcast’, a show that amplifies diverse voices and opens the dialogue on socio-economic topics that are not so openly spoken about.
