What Do Angels Actually Look Like According to the Bible 

Makes sense that they are scary that’s why the angel says do not be afraid upon his appearence to the humans

My father believed that he actually met an angel and he believed in guardian angels. So he was at basic training. He had been pulling targets at the range. He was in a chair he had been sitting in for days and a Lieutenant walked up to him. He was young and the best looking man he had ever seen. Like this guy could have been a movie star. Only thing was except for the rank insignia he didn't have a name or anything else. No medals nothing... He called my father by his first name and gently told him. "You aren't meant to be seated here. I want you to move to that chair." My father snapped up and said "sir yes sir" and moved. A few minutes later a ricocheted bullet struck the chair my dad had been in. The Sargent was pleased that my dad wasn't hit but didn't understand why he moved. When my dad told him that a Lieutenant told him to move the Sargent informed my dad that there were no lieutenants on base.

I really love how Infographics took on this subject with the assumption that the source material is completely credible. Not once did they try to discredit the bible or it's believers and even made the distinctions of what is and isn't considered canon. It's a very mature and sensitive approach to a subject that many would use as an opportunity to mock others. Good on ya.

When the infographics show can explain better than most pastors…salute

This reminded me when I was in basic. I was taking my PT test doing the push ups, I couldn’t do the minimum required to pass. I prayed for God to give me strength when I was gonna give up. Suddenly I just felt a breeze go through my body and I regained all my energy back, I passed the test. Just an experience I had that I wanted to share.

When I was a kid I fell in my uncles pool I didn’t know how to swim and I sunk to the bottom of the pool but then out of nowhere I was being pushed to the surface and to the edge of the pool but nobody was there when I looked while I was still being pushed up to this day idk what it was

The tree Adam and Eve ate from was not the Tree of Life It was the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil.

Surprisingly well done and well researched. Had a similar near death experience. One was during our school trip in an amusement park. We rode the roller coaster and when almost nearing the "loop" part, the restraint bars on my seat was unlocked. It was the roller coaster model where the track was above you and the seats were hanging from it. It was inverted. It was not the traditional type. The problem was that it was the only thing protecting you from falling off and had no seatbelts. I was a kid but miraculously did not feel any panic and I just knew what to do. I moved the bars swiftly back and forth and I felt it "click" and lock in place just before entering the loop. After a few days, I remember hearing some news that someone died after falling off from that specific roller coaster. It was not my time yet. I still had a purpose to fulfill. Glory be to God.

I mean they do say "Do not be afraid" whenever they encounter someone so I'd assume they'd be terrifying

y'know, from a purely secular perspective, the metaphor of humanity being unfit rulers of all creation due to our inability to control ourselves is really apt. just look at the state of our planet today.

The tree of the knowledge of good and evil and the tree of life are two different trees. They were forbidden from eating from the tree of knowledge. After doin so, genesis states they were removed from the garden so they would not be able to also eat from the tree of life and live forever in their fallen state.

The Ophanim, or “the wheels,” is arguably the most bizarre being in the Bible.

I had a " situation" happen to me. What I seen were dozens of bright white, yellow, and blue sparkles moving around and flowing thru what looked like cloud like billowy rolling light (sorry, best way I can explain it). It just "broke thru" my world. And I kept hearing in the most beautiful softest voices I have ever heard in my life "Respond" "Respond" "Respond" over and over. I did.

I have met two angels in my life then. Twice when my life was at risk and I didn't know. One old lady that shouldn't be where she met me and another Tall quite beautiful woman in brown office outfit, who knew my name even without ever knowing her. Those two encounters still makes me wonder alot till this day. I never saw them again after the two different days I met them. Even though I never moved from that area for a while. Thanks for this video, It makes sense to me a bit now.

I mean, if angels weren't scary, they probably wouldn't feel the need to always be all "Be not afraid" whenever they appear to somebody.

Fell on his face in terror. Angels could be scary looking but imagine you are a human on this earth and you see a spiritual being pop up next to you. Odds are you will just freeze and get that roller coaster feeling in your stomach if you manage to stay standing.

The Bible really is remarkable. God's word is truly a blessing when one takes the time to actually appreciate and understand it. I'm probably one of very few millennials, as well as a former atheist, who can actually say that God has changed my life. I pray every day that many more get to experience the same.

A slight correction - seraphim are actually the highest order of angels, whereas archangels are actually the second lowest order of angels

I heard a description of an angel from a guy who had a near death experience. He said it was beautiful but powerful and that it pretty much dragged him out of the lake of fire and back to his life.

Back when all this "biblically accurate angel" became a thing, me and my friend would bring out our bibles, and like to go to revelations, and draw those fantastic, world ending, flying, smiting, sword wielding, fire burning , fellas and see our interpretation on this. When I was an adolescent, I spent almost a week inside the ICU because of dengue AND pneumonia, a combo that the nurses told us to be...well...nasty. I was having a hard time to breathe whenever the nurses put me into a specific position on my hospital bed, which would always cause me to cough out so much mucus and blood. My parents refused to leave me and prayed non-stop. After a week--on the very day of my schedule of shoving an oxygen hose into my throat to aid my breathing and to put me in deep sleep--my vitals have increased, shocking everyone. I was instantly moved to a private room to relax and to take my final medications before leaving for home. A true miracle, indeed.

The angels guarding the Garden of Eden were Seraphs or Seraphim (angels of fire), not cherubs.

I have heard angels sing. It was unlike any singing I have heard from humans. Truly beautiful. Believe me, angels are real.

I may have met an angel, the day of the Cedar Fire (CA) in 2003. We left the house, watching the fire get closer. I went back to check, and was followed by a stranger who fought the fire with me and saved my house. He said where he lived, an area totally devastated, yet nobody from the area knew him. My neighbor said "maybe it was an angel." It's as good an explanation as any. Naturally, I never saw him again.

13:12 Okay so my story begins when I was still pretty young, I can’t really remember it that well but my grandma and aunts have told me. When one of my aunts was giving berth there were some “difficulties” and her newborn was in the hospital for Months. One day my grandma took my aunt to church during a surgery on my aunts newborn (they did not know if he was going to make it) and a man behind them (an African-American man with blue eyes) said “Be at peace ____ all is well” addressed her by name. They turned around and he leaving. So after mass they went to the hospital and the newborn was fine. The surgery worked, and He and I are good friends still today.

Adam and Eve weren’t allowed to eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, not the tree of life, so Revelation 22:7 doesn’t imply their eventual allowance to eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.

An interesting video, while I personally don't follow any religion, I like to research the origins of them, this was an entertaining video to watch through. I am someone who is more rooted in facts, logic, science and reasoning, My personal beliefs on God or Gods is that I do believe that there can be a possibility of a higher being, but my possibility will never be answered or proven as correct or incorrect. If there is a God or many then that's cool, if there isn't then oh well, I'll never truly know since in science you can never exclude the possibility of God.

High demons tend to look pleasing, pretty or handsome basically something you wanna see to be lured in. On the other hand high Angels look scary to scare off demons.

I’ve noticed a lot of the names in the Bible have Western , or European names for events that took place in the Middle East

Although there are certainly examples of bizarre looking angels (by our standards) in the Bible, they also can look very human, so much so that they can pass among humans unnoticed. As spiritual beings, they might not have any particular image but change as they desire. It seems there are some anti-Christian people who attempt to weaken others faith by stressing the weird appearance of some angels and ignore the more human ones.

2 months ago, I was driving to Toronto from Windsor on the 401 which is the busiest highway between Michigan and Ontario/Canada. It was around midnight and it was pouring down heavily! I started to feel sleepy. Immediately, I said to myself "I'll pull over at the next gas station for some coffee". I drove for another 5 minutes and started feeling sleepy again. This time, I felt a powerful urge to stay awake. It felt as if someone was sitting with me in driver seat and holding the sterring wheel. The road was blurry and the rain got stronger. Suddenly, I couldn't see the road anymore, it was pitch black! I was doing probably 100km/65 miles. I started to slow down considerably and the road was still pitch black ahead of me. Luckily, I slowed down. As soon as I got close to the obscurity I was seeing, I realized it was an 18 wheeler that flipped on the highway. It blocked the road in front of me. The bottom of the truck was facing me, that's why it was pitch black, and the hood was covering the opposite side of the highway. I pulled over and the truck looked like it was going to blow up. I dialled 911 and they said they were on the way already. If I wasn't careful, I would have probably made the accident worse, the driver was still inside the truck. So, I pulled over and the police showed up.

Great job! For the scripture Revelation 22:7 is a typo, just one extra 2. It should be Revelation 2:7.

Again, not every angel looks like this. They can take many forms in case you didn't know.

I’m the type that believes but questions every detail of these stories being real but when I was little I had an experience that I always thought was an angel. I was rolling back and forth on top of the bed and I rolled to far and started to fall off and about half way down it was like time slowled down and something stopped me and I landed slowly it was so weird but that always stuck with me . What the heck made me slow down in mid air to land softly

I asked a priest once, why some angels look so scary. He said that from his studies, the lower the rank of the angel, the closer they are to humans. The higher the rank, the closer they are to God, and the closer they are to God causes them to look this way, because the angels who are directly with God, will never see or come in contact with humans
