Hiking, working out, video games, reading, movies, sleeping, work around the house, bicycling, listening to music to relax or vent, etc. These are some of the things I do in my spare time.
One of the most boring things I can imagine is sitting at home "alone with a baby", body still hurting from birting, and being expected to do all the household work from now on. Being responsible for a baby feels like a prison. You can leave your appartment but you have to always take the thing that has higher priority than everything else with you. Not the way I want to live. I love my freedom to much.
Do you find that more people are on that page now. I know alot of ppl that really didnt want kids but the crush of pressure got to them and they had a child and are struggling.
Mentally emotionally both have very intense careers in medical fields and its hard to balabce ething. I dont think adoption is sthing theyd do but its def not easy for them.
Learning French, reading, watching youtube videos, excercising, biking and hiking in summer, ice-skating in winter, not doing much, taking my time to cook and clean, seeing my friends & exploring Montreal, keeping in touch with friends who live abroad. For me, the possibility to just be and do nothing is priceless. I could never live my life running from one thing to another.
I love reading and taking long walks to enjoy nature and think about what I've read. If you're using the local library, that hobby can even be free! It's cheap either way if you keep an eye out for the ebook to go on sale.
I dont know what are my hobbies - i cook well, i hike, i watch movies, i read blogs and watch uplifting content, etc... And then there is this one thing which is considered a hobby but for me it is my lifestyle and it has become more of it with each passing year. And that is slow-travelling. I and my husband have probably seen more small towns in the U.S. in the last few years than people who are born here have. We are just always exploring... Its a daily thing sometimes. I don't know anyone who lives like us... We will complete 1000 days living on the road in a few days. And honestly we have not been living on the road - we've been living in luxurious homes across the United States and Canada. While travel has always been a part of my existence, it has a different meaning now for me. I can never trade this for anyone or anything.
I'm less-abled, so my disability benefits are already not enough for me. But that means that looking for discounts on basic foods and every day items has become a hobby of mine, one that I thankfully do not mind. And the energy that I have left goes to stray animals here in Istanbul. There are so many cats and dogs, and they don't just need food and water, they also really want you to pet them and spend time with them. I get followed by cats every day - they are not hungry, they just want attention. And I'm grateful I have the time and energy to give it to them. 😍
Feeding stray cats only worsens the Problem. Please try to be not emotional but logical. Stray cats kill wild birds. Feeling lonely? Try to ineract with humans. Work on your social skills. Or take your "friends" to the vetenarian to get them sterilized. But PLEASE don't think you are a good person for pouring gasoline into fire.
@@CordeliaWagner Being vegan, I always try not to be too emotional but very logical and analytical about things related to animals. I hate feeding these stray cats meat from the horrible meat industry, so my priority has always been sterilising them. Here in Turkey, most people focus on feeding them which I don't agree with either. And I didn't mention being lonely - I have enough human friends, enough human interactions, but I'll always prefer the company of animals tbh because they are simply amazing.
I eat plant based for ethical reasons. And I don't see feeding stray cats as ethical. Plus you wrote in your comment just that you geed them and are so happy to pet them. It comes across as overly emotional. You didn't mention that you putvin any effort to actually help in a way that makes sense. But hey, ggod foryou.
I support anybody who doesn't want kids. As an ecologist we cannot have everyone reproduce. Ya'll are making the ultimate sacrifice and honestly I'm tired of all the traffic
Love your videos. I have been learning contortion stretching for the last 3 years and love it (Im 32 & married 5 years). I train everyday - before I start work and on my lunchbreak (I work from home fulltime) I also walk everyday, do pilates and love reading (on my 19th book so far this year) and i also have a very busy & demanding job. I also love to buy myself luxury bags & sunglasses. No room and zero desire for any kids in my life, no thank you😂🧘🏻♀️💅🏻💰
I am in a beautiful relationship with my boyfriend. It's great and it keeps getting better. Looking at how parents interact: NO WAY!!! I am not going to destroy my happyness with sexless months or years and all the stress that comes with parenthood duties. Getting pregnant would end all I love about our relationship. Lucky me he had a vasectomy because he doesn't want to be a provider / father.
If I had a baby like I wanted to 3 years ago, I wouldn't have finished my bachelor's, let alone, be half way done with my masters right now. Life worked out for me in the best way possible 💚
I love going to places that I've never been, which is very exciting to me to shop and eat. Being alone or with my sweetheart is bliss as well. Creating my own CDs, DVDs and now USB sticks is also exciting for me.
binge watching stuff is kinda fun. Though more than a weekend and it gets tough. Had a friend that was exasperated by my constant Jojo references to the point where they decided they had to watch it.... but I knew it wouldn't get done without supervision. Sooo I booked some time off work, we got together and binged the first 5 parts over 3 1/2 days. I cannot stress how tired we were at the end. We had minimal sleep and ordered food in to keep interruptions to a minimum. Good times. lol
I honestly don't understand how someone can ask such a dumb and disrespectful question. Some people have enough on their plates with just their own selves and are at least smart enough to realize it. I've been lucky enough to be able to take up horse riding in my later years as a happily child-free person, but I also see the same kind irresponsibility in this industry, where people who don't even have their own life sorted own an expensive animal that they can't even afford to take care of properly 🤦♀Why are people like this😐
What do I do? Whatever the hell I want! That's the point. Video games, reading, drawing, painting, experimenting in the kitchen, learning new things, podcasts.....I can go on for hours.
People believe we need kids to stay occupied seriously thats evil imo as kids are humans that arent a form of entertainment. My hobbies are drawing, reading, binge watching reality tv/ movies, trying new recipes and foods, video games etc.
We all have something to keep us going love you're videos childfree living is completely valid bodeos like you'ers always reminds me that childfree living is the best
I deal with my parents ... People talk about kids all the time but they forget about when parents get older. They don't have to listen to you. They have their own money. They have their own cars they can go over they want and do whatever they want. You cannot ground them. You cannot take away any of their items that you cannot listen to you and make the same mistakes again and again. And there's nothing you can do about it except take that call 😅
I workout, play videogames, listen to music, collect diecast cars, slot cars, r/c cars, vacation with my wife and dog, and most importantly relax in a clean house.
I love hearing my own thoughts. I literally sometimes tell my partner 'could you please leave me alone with my thoughts for a while?' glad i'm not alone 😁
I do gardening and its really a great experience to help q little to the environment, i do skate to and volunteer at a local garden, im learning to model characters for videogames too. Learning german, like there's a lot of stuff to do! The mountains of books and series' i wanna watch.i don't know why others want children, respect it tho
The religion I was baptized into as a baby says that being open to children is a requirement for a valid marriage. You don't have to get married, but then you'd have to be celibate because they hold that sex is allowed only inside marriage and for the purpose of procreation. Although staying single and celibate is permitted, you should expect questions about that choice.
Why is this YOUR religion? Think please! Evaluate that bull-crockety-crap! Time to say my former religion, or oh wait let's edit that. Or, the religious cult I was forced into as a child? Or whatever it is/was? Come on people! Think critically here.
Cooking is a basic necessity if you want to eat healthy. I work out because I want a hot body. I always thought cooking and working out is the mist normal thing...
@@CordeliaWagner people who have children most times don't have time to workout or to cook my mother didn't while she was raising us at times because she had to work and pay the bills
How can people who have or want kids not imagine the many things the childfree could do with their time? Unless the question is about finding out what the childfree do so they can discredit it.
Well, those with children seem to go quickly brain dead. It happens within the fiirst two to three years of their imprisonment. It's probably listed on WebMD as Mom Brain. Dad Brain takes longer to develop if the dad hands the kiddos off to mom most of the time. 🤪
Wait a second. I'm pretty sure that childfree people still have life maintenance tasks to do. They're busy. They don't ALL live a life of hyper-privileged leisure.
Spare time? I have NONE. All contributed to my job, building my company and housework. I am learning to sew atm becoz my husband is getting too big to fit into any shirt you can buy directly from stores. So your assumptions that CF people have time is not true in my case
I hate household work. I can't see why I should do it myself. My boyfriend hates household work too, so we have a housekeeper doing that. More time for romance.
