One of the most frequent questions we get from students wanting to get their concealed carry permit in Louisiana is "What do I need to bring to class?".
If you are in the greater Baton Rouge metro area and you want to apply for your concealed carry permit you will need to attend a Louisiana State Approved concealed carry training class.

How do you bring your gun if you need a concealed carry permit to purchase one but in order to get your permit do you have to take the class I don’t understand💥💥💥

To buy a gun you just need to be a lawful citizen over the age of 21 meaning that you don't need a consealed to buy a gun that comes after you buy your gun

NOT cheap, but as a long term investment... electronic hearing protectors. They allow you to hear instructors, fellow shooters etc talking normally, but shut off gunfire. I wish I had gotten mine sooner. Straining to understand while learning... not helpful or safe ! Indoor ranges are VERY loud when classes or a volume of shooters all get going at once !

Five things. Your firearm and Matching caliber FMJ not hollow point ammo 2 safety glasses Electronic ear muffs that use batteries u can turn on and off with switch. And foamies in case. 3. Holster and or case. 4. Bag for your gear. 5 dress appropriate for going to range. A ball cap to protect face from rounds coming at you. T shirt pants close toed shoes women no low cut or revealing clothing. Most ranges make you change. Or make you put on a t shirt. You do not wanna be doing the hot brass dance with a loaded firearm.i don't wanna be near anyone doing one either. Eek

so im signing up for a class, and obviously cant buy a gun nor do i even own a pistol to begin with, dont freak out though they provide gun rentals and ammo u will need to pay for.

The permit is not for the firearm, but to carry it concealed on your person. In Louisiana you do not need a permit to own a firearm, only to carry it concealed. The constitution however prohibits permits, but many states like Louisiana have unconstitutional laws that need to be removed.

You can rent a firearm as well check with your local instructor and range.

You should probably mention the type of rounds. You probably do not want students showing up with hollow point ammunition, particularly on an indoor range.
