Hi Pranav, students living in residence have a meal plan (food.ubc.ca/residence-meal-plan/) that will be used to pay for your food. Part of the funds will be used at residence dining halls, and part can be used for other food outlets on campus, and even to pay for printing on campus.
Confirmed by one of our vloggers, there are dishes labelled halal just as there are dishes labeled for vegan and vegetarian dishes! If you want more details, you can contact a dietitian at UBC!: food.ubc.ca/nutrition-tools-in-residence-dining/
