Thank you for your wonderful video. I’m taking Silversea Silver muse in January. One seasoned video expert commented that since Silversea was bought out by rccl you need to communicate all desired services upfront. Did you find this to be the case? Looking forward to no crowds, no nickel & diming, & top shelf customer service.
We are scheduled for our first ever cruise to Alaska on Silversea Muse in September. Thank you for this video- it was very helpful in knowing what to expect with the Butler we will have.
Recently the butlers have been less proactive. I would just ask for some fun stuff from them upon boarding. if you like a certain brand of wine or drink just ask. Once they get to know you they are great! Have a great cruise.
Personally my wife and I would not need a butler. The only time I could see one being useful is when you want a dinner or a show reservation when there are no open reservations, possibly they could get you a reservation. I would just have the stateroom attendant set the stateroom up to my preferences.
hi all, i am intending to make a silversea excursion cruise booking in the next few days, please contact me if you are a Venetian society member and wants to refer me to Silversea so that both of us gets a bonus 500 bucks credit.
Great question. We have always had good butlers and tipped. I don't recall if we had a fixed amount . There are others I have talked to that feel that they don't need to tip. As always tipping is optional.
I really like Indochine. If you ask your butler they will bring you caviar to your suite everyday. There is also caviar on the menu at atlantide. The grill is fun if the weather is nice. Recently I started asking the chef to cook our food for us. they did a much better job. Have a great cruise.
We got none of the questions you first mentioned. We rarely saw our butler. He had too many rooms to service. Never brought the booze we wanted. The mini fridge had 1 coke, 1 beer,1 tonic water. Spoke to the leed butler, got some snacks. After cruise, we were offered future cruise discount of 1,000$. For a $30,000 cruise. Not our choice again
That is what I was thinking, if the butler has a lot of staterooms to service, then he or she definitely will not have time for you, especially if one or more staterooms are extremely needy and too lazy to anything for themselves. Personally I do not see myself or my wife using a butler.
Sorry to hear that. We have had great luck with our butlers. Last week I mentioned to our butler that i smelled popcorn. Magically every night some appeared!
