Loved this video! I’m a fairly new follower and long time gardener in Oklahoma 7b. I struggled with dahlias and still do, however grew some from seed this year and am excited to get my new tubers in the spring and try again. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and your personal side a bit. Keep up the great work! You are an inspiration!

Great Q and A. Thanks for answering my question. I’m in zone 6b now considered 7 ( southern CT ) and we get a lot of rain yet my dahlias came back this year. It drains pretty well and the soil is great. It was nice getting to know you better.

I enjoyed learning more about you guys! Thanks for including the links for all of the gardeners you mentioned… I opened my phone hoping you linked them and you did. Your first question about tree spacing might’ve been thinking of me from a few weeks ago, so thanks for getting it here! I assumed at least 3-feet because where I live we have an ordinance that you can’t plant closer than 3-feet, though no one around me got the memo.😬Your layering with closer spacing is for sure your design eye and playing in the garden and it looks awesome! 🙌

Aww thank you so much!! I do my best to pay attention to spacing in the sense of ordinances. I’m excited we allow ourselves to play with so many plants when designing, I have learned so much through trying new things. 💗🥰

2 hours a day of watering, that's me (but not every summer day)...I hope one day I'll learn how to do the drip system and have money for this (without sacrificing buying plants 😜)

Oh gosh it’s hard isn’t it? I don’t mind watering but it takes away from planted or playing with the plants lol. It’s not too bad to install on your own but of course having professionals do it is always nice. We shopped around and found the best price that fit our budget, so if you do hire someone just get several quotes. 🥰💗

Interesting about your "other" job. I had 28 years in education, so I guess I am a nurturer. Sergey, my parents are surprised I turned into a gardener. I hated it all as a teen!

I consider myself a Cottage Gardener, as Flowers are more my favorite. This year, in Las Cruces, NM, because of "EL Nina", we have had maybe two Sprinkles of Rain the entire Year, that's it. Boreworms hit all the Trees, the bacteria and ants are through the Roof, and then I sit on RU-vid and see some places that just don't know how good they have it...until Chimney Rock, of course. I am Subscribed, but I cannot watch as I look out my gardens of nothing but dry Weeds and dead Perennials, with Trees in such Shock they wish they could go live in South America illegally and get Paid for it. Truly...I am not bitter, it is the End.
