Wow I’m in shock. I can’t even find this in Thailand for the same price. I’ve never seen a terrace so big and even with a hot tub! I’ve been looking at Albania because of the long term stay for Americans.
Im currently working digitally from Vlore Albania, my 5 bed apartment is $500 per month also but yours is more modern than mine Isabelle. Albania is a lovely place to visit even live if anyone is thinking about it, although alot of my friends in the UK where shocked I decided to come here maybe Albania gets bad press but I love it.
I am planning on coming over in Jan 2025. If you don't mind me asking, where did you find your 5 BR for $500/mo? I have a family of 4 that will be coming over.
@@jeremy_jenn Hi, I think i must of said it wrong in my post on Isabelles video. I am in an apartment that sleeps 5 not 5 bedrooms. It has 2 bedrooms with a double & single bed in each room. Best spot in town though, town center Vlora and a balcony that gets sun all day long. I have actually done a video for my youtube channel just been to busy to upload, when I do I will message you.
The brits are scapegoating Albanians there and you must speak up to your compatriots. Don’t say I don’t know why, but fight back and tell them they are wrong about Albanians and Albania.
Wow sounds like amazing value. You presented it really well - very professional - well done! Would love to see anything & everything you can post. Albania is high on my must visit list!
Hi lovely! This place is so great!! So funny as we visited Vlore last year and also had this apartment saved on Airbnb as one of our options, but ended up booking another place instead. Just curious how you were able to get this price on Airbnb, did you negotiate for a better deal for 3 months? Because now when we look at the listing on Airbnb, the monthly price (for 1 month in Nov) is $1400. Would love to know if you have some hack we're unaware of, hehe! ✨🙌 Thanks for showing us around 😃
Hi! I didn't negotiate and don't have any special airbnb hack (though i wish i did). Earlier today I checked the price and it was $500 but now I see it has shot up like crazy.. They must have changed it due to demand 😬
Best part of your apartment is the sea view and very attractive. I think you are lucky to have your morning and evening in this such a beautiful top sea view. Easy to refresh your mind and body. Sounds awesome.
Wow! I think $500 for a penthouse is a steal! How did you find a place like that? Did you connect with a realtor? What will you do when your tourist visa/passport expires? Or are you a resident? Sorry, so many questions. I ask because I'm going there next year and may potentially make Albania my new home. Sold everything and am just traveling. Currently in SE Asia. Would love to be able to communicate with you more about Albania and your experience. Not sure how to leave my email or whats up app contacts without getting it getting pulled. Maybe you're not even interested, and that's okay too. If I don't ask, I'll never know. Thanks for your video!
I found it on airbnb. This particular apartment got a bunch of demand a few months ago and they raised the prices but there are still great prices in the area. I actually left Albania already - only had 90 days since I'm not a US citizen. Here's my instagram - @isabellerdgz or email - isabelle@isabellerodriguez.com if you have any questions :) Enjoy SE Asia!
Isn't it interesting my fellow Albanians leaving Albania and moving to Canada some of them settled in Toronto and a Canadian girl from Toronto moves to Albania! Come and translate that? Good luck to you in my country. Yep, the apartment seems great just don't understand the builder why would you have so much space in living area and have a tiny kitchen? Yes, that view is priceless. Enjoy your stay.
I love it another canadian nomad. Im currently nomadin in bueno aires argentina i really want to try europe maybe next year just dont know how the timezone situations would work
European timezone isn't too bad with American work hours - you basically just work in the evening and have your mornings free. How are you liking Buenos Aires? Thinking of spending some time there next year :)
@@isabellerdgz gotcha will try it out next year Regarding BA argentina i will start of wit this when i came to the country as a black canadian men i heard the rumor of racism people are cold not friendly all these negative things about the country so i came here just to see it for my self for a week and i fell inlove sofar im 3 months its like toronto in the summer time beautiful park, clean air, subway and great bus system, safe like really safe as well as huge i did patagonia all the way to the nothsalt flat and desert near the border with bolivia flight are cheap within the country as u travel to different region u notice the people change more brown skin in the north west chilean people in the west and swiss and germans in the south will be out next months as i got to check out peru but ya HIGHLY recommend it also 2hr ahead of estern time which works best for me. huge nomad community u will make tons of friends in less then a week, check out the fb on whats app group so many things to do loool sorry for the rant i truly love this city but i cant see my self calling it home as lool i think in 3 month here i seen 11 black folks so i need a place i could blend in but u will love it alot of colombian peruvian and mexican here
Another excellent and informative video, Isabelle! We are considering starting a Nomad Traveling Lifestyle. After our first 6 months in Ukraine, Poland, and Estonia, our next plan is to visit non-Schengen countries Albania, Montenegro, and Turkey. Do you think these countries deserve equal consideration, one month each, in Aug-Sep-Oct? After 90 days in non-Schengen, on to Italy, France, and Spain. Thanks! Dean & Cindy
Hi Dean & Cindy! Glad it was informative :) Albania has been beautiful though I can't speak as much on Montenegro and Turkey since I haven't been yet. From my perspective, Albania and Montenegro are more relaxing destinations while there seems to be a lot more to do in Turkey so personally, I would do a 3 week Albania, 3 week Montenegro, 6 week Turkey split. Hope you have a great time!
We don't build small spaces,. In fact I was shocked when I moved in England, oh dear God. Small and old rooms . 😢 Studio flat £1000 -1200 this 10 years ago. Now don't even think to rent in London. So we'll done to you living a Vlore. Everything is good there, food, weather, people, sea, Just enjoy
This place would have been 300usd 5 years ago but the Americans and Western Europe are flooding in Albania increasingly the prices., 500usd is lot for Albania
I booked it 5 months before check-in for a 3 month stay. There's long term availability starting in October of this year and weeks open between now and then. DM me on IG @isabellerdgz and I can share the host's info. It's a company that owns several villas here so you could get an even better price booking directly with them :)
When I go to Europe and work remote, my US company makes me work the 8am-5pm CST hours in the US. So, in Europe, I work like 3pm-midnight. How about your hours ?
I found it on Airbnb. I wanted a coastal town in Albania so I was between Vlorë and Sarandë. I ended up just picking the best airbnb between the two cities.
A lot of people I interacted with spoke English or Italian (in Vlorë specifically). Luckily I speak Spanish and have done some Duolingo Italian so I was able to somewhat communicate with most people. Worst case, you pull up the Google Translate app but I didn't need to in Albania.
sounds great and affordable. how did you find it? through an agent, online, word of mouth? how much will be rent on high season? thanks and enjoy albania
Yea, I got around with english and many people spoke italian in Vlorë so I could understand them and they could understand my spanish. Worst case, you can use google translate.
@@isabellerdgz Follow-up to the previous question: is the rate you stated for off season only? Also, is it listed as a daily place on Airbnb and you just worked out a deal with the owner? We did that in Montenegro. Just wondering, because we are coming to Albania and want to start connecting with owners. Any tips would be appreciated.
@@historyatourhouse Same price year-round. I paid the whole thing on Airbnb but I needed a short extension and did that directly with the host. If you dm me on IG (@isabellerdgz) I can send you the link to the host's website. It's a travel agency so it's pretty safe to book with them directly.
Not to be rude but do your parents help support you? I see you don't have many subscribers and I wonder how people support themselves? Do you do other type of work? Just wondering?
@@isabellerdgz all jokes aside, think your channel is great, keep it up. I love channels that are real and transparent. Where you off to next? Anywhere?
