What Does A Sunset Look Like on Each Planet? 

Uranus absolutely stole the show with that hot pink and purple sunset! I never would've imagined it!

This is such a cool idea for a video. As a lifelong sci-fi fan, one of the things I often wonder about is, "If we did make colonies on other planets in our solar systems...what would the sun actually LOOK like, from them?" Now with things like Space Engine, we can kinda know! :) --Mercury also has that freaky thing where the Sun rises, then seems to go BACKWARDS and set again, then rises again. That's a pretty unusual sunrise. --Venus's BLUE sunset...whoah. dude. --I live in a mountainy area IRL, and the sun does seem to "set" sooner if you're in a valley, because the mountain blocks it from view before it actually finishes setting. --There's actual footage of the Sun setting on Mars, taken from the rovers. It looks blue, even kinda purple right before it dips below the horizon! --Fire sunset on Jupiter! Also HEY, there're its rings! :D --Never would've occurred to me that Jupiter and Saturn would have similar sunrises/sets to Earth's. Huh. --Uranus, the awesome sideways planet, that does what it wants! Holy FRICK, that fuschia at the very bottom with the sunset! It looks kinda like it's in the same place as the "green flash" you sometimes see on Earth! I wonder if it's for a similar reason? Hot pink twilight! --Neptune...huh, gold sunset. Wouldn't have guessed that one either. --And, Pluto! Glad you included it. Pluto actually has a seasonal atmosphere, from what I've heard--the sky freezes and snows down in every season other than Pluto's summer, and in summer it has a _little_ bit of sky.

Did anyone notice that Venus' atmosphere is kind of orange, and sunsets and sunrises are blue, but Earth's atmosphere is blue-ish and sunsets and sunrises are orange?

10:39 Calvin just made a remake of one of the Cassini probe's famous photos of Saturn where the probe is taking an image of the planet within the shadow of Saturn creating an "eclipse" kinda? And when Saturn is viewed like this, we can see the E-ring, the planet's outermost main ring. Oh btw data from the Cassini probe shows that the E-ring is made up of water molecules, and those are coming from the geysers of Enceladus because the moon is geologically active and has a water ocean under the thick ice.

Day 8 (1week and a 1 day) Try mine, Try to add another earth that shares same oribit as our earth but it stays exactly opposite to the earth direction towards the sun. I think this is a good idea and see what happens to our earth and another earth.

Interesting to think that the sky and sunsets on the gas planets look a lot like on earth, if you would fly through the atmosphere of Jupiter or Uranus in a plane or blimp it would probably almost feel like a flying on a cloudy day on earth.

To me, it looks like all of the gas giant planets had sunsets and sunrises very similar to those on Earth. They all seemed to have had that yellowish-orange color when the sun was setting and rising.
