What does Agia Paraskevi look like in the Winter? Skiathos Island, Greece - January 2024

Hi Ruth, how lovely that is. When I first came to Skiathos in 1996 I stayed in Paraskevi and loved those 10 says so much.. the year Skiathos stole my heart. Its freezing here and I'm anchored down with the heating on and a hot water bottle by my side.Role on May 8th for some Skiathos sun! We booked our flights for June today too , so we will be rotating around the place in May and June...yippee!! See you Ruth. Steve and David ❤❤ xx

Hi Ruth , just came across your RU-vid, love skiathos , first went in 2001 and second time was last August, obviously a lot has changed which you would expect over so long but the people and food are fantastic

Not sure if anyone else has said yet, but regarding the little church, I’m pretty sure that it’s also called Agia Paraskevi as ‘Agia’ means ‘Saint, (female - Agios is a male saint). So the beach and area are named after the church 😍 Looking forwards to your next video xx

Nice video:) Random question, do you know where the best price ticket is to go to Skopelos, I know there's the travel agent on the corner of papadiamanits but wonder if you get a 'tourist tax' on the ticket.

Great video again! Now for my constructive comments. Having been to Skiathos many times in the Summer, in my opinion looks much better than January. Ok, that was an obvious comment. Now for the critical observation. Notwithstanding that the Skiathos Princess from the outside going toward the sea has always reminded me as a bit of a dump, I find no excuse for that god awful beach. So, this "event" in Skaithos happened in September 2023, and its now January 2024. Why hasn't any work been carried out to repair the damaged beach? I suspect this lack of care probably resonates on every beach. The tourist season is not that long away. Hopefully the repairs will be done. After all what is the point of "Tourist Tax"? They have the money. No excuses!!! End of rant ;-)
