Too many people had goosebumps and tears at the BabyMetal concert that night.

I have only been to one BABYMETAL concert, at Osaka-jo Hall in 2019. Su's singing voice was 5 times better than what I heard on the CD.

I was lucky enough to be at Makuhari and this was absolutely breathtaking to experience live. Amazing, amazing show. Easily the best concert I had ever been to (Clear Night might have it beat, though). Since their return its been banger, after banger, after banger.

Metal Kingdom has actual choreography, but it wasn't used at the Babymetal Returns concert.

I couldn't see them at all in the crowd, but I sang with ohohooooh😊 SU-METAL said that she had changed the way she sang at the start of the song, and indeed she sang in a way that I had never heard before. And above all, SU-METAL and MOAMETAL have become beautiful😚

Nice one thanks! In my opinion the studio audio doesn't do justice to the grandiosity of the song. Actually, Su and Moa talked about it and this is what they said in 2023 PMC Vol. 27 (thanks funnytoss for the translation): SU-METAL: "We can rehearse all we want, but songs like “Metal Kingdom” that involve the audience are only complete with the voices and enthusiasm of the audience." MOAMETAL: "'Metal Kingdom' was really cool after we added the choreography to it. We didn’t perform the choreo for it at Makuhari, and I think its coolness is fully unleashed only when we perform it with choreo." Until next time! 🤘🦊

On the one hand, I'm sad that they're maturing and moving away from the dichotomy of cutesy and metal, but on the other hand, viewing this album as an addition to the repertoire that already includes that stuff, it's a phenomenal album to put on their list.

Set looks great, lighting is great, Su sounds great, you can't hear Moa in all the background vocals, so far it's a normal Babymetal song. The song itself is a disappointment. For all it has "metal" in the title, there's no heaviness. So to me the song does not deliver what it's promised. And it is far too repetitive. Once you hear the first minute, there's nothing new added. With songs like Metalizm and Maya, Babymetal can still bring it. This is like when Don Henley, Don Felder, and Timothy B. Schmitt sang "Heavy Metal". It wasn't, and neither is this. It would be much better if they cut 2-3 minutes off. It's really not up to there standards. See metalizm and maya. They dropped the ball on this one. The only song on the album that falls short.
