ARMY knows that BTS loves their fans as much as we love them and that this love often inspires ARMY to incredible acts of kindness and charity. BTS's obvious affection for ARMY shines through in many of their songs, especially in the Love Yourself era, which might make one song in particular seem a little strange. Many fans and music critics often discuss the song "Pied Piper" as being BTS's call out of toxic fans. But is it really? Likewise, many people who analyze the legend of the Pied Piper of Hamelin view it as a cautionary tale about being lured by false promises. But is there more to the story? In this video, I take a look at both the BTS song and the legend that gave it its name, theorizing that there is much more going on thematically than meets the eye, and discuss why I think this song actually fits BTS's affection for ARMY perfectly.
💜The ARMY Theorist Corner is a channel dedicated to analyzing, theorizing about, and celebrating the discography of BTS! I am a proud ARMY who wants to spread my love of BTS to more people and I hope that ARMYs - whether old or new - and maybe even some curious non-ARMYs will enjoy putting their thinking caps on with me as we dive deep into BTS's amazing songs and videos. Today I'm diving deep into the legend of the Pied Piper to discuss why I think there's a much deeper meaning behind BTS's song of the same name. Join me as I explore why I think "Pied Piper" is actually a brilliant fit for the Love Yourself era and what messages I think it gives to ARMY.
