Always wondered...as F1 evolved,, Right in front of him.... A Requirement to actually Stay competitive.. His own words and viewpoint, becoming meaningless..
I always trip off the golf ball effect, turbulent air bounces of a surface faster then a smooth one. It’s why some head work is left with dimples, or why they put a shelf after a butterfly in a throttle body etc. Sweet info big guy, you and Gels….er Dakota, are a great team with Alex. Good stuff guys.
Aero is so hard to do right. "I've got a weird noise at xxmph" only gets an "I bet you do" from me anymore. I like aluminium under trays as long as the bumper and fender liners are intact. Every aftermarket bumper i've had to touch seems to ditch the factory air dams and lets air around all the coolers. Just a goofy goober parts replacer with too many tools but aero tends to be shiny NVH creating parachutes
I believe sideskirts help prevent the high pressure air on top and around the car from disrupting the low pressure air underneath, not to prevent air from escaping the underside of the car.
You should do a video about different types of fuels and their effects, benefits, and downsides! Or another thing I’d like to maybe see is a video about gear ratios because I can’t understand it fully no matter how hard I try…
