In a surprising move, the Denver Broncos are reportedly finalizing a deal with Green Bay Packers offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett to become their next head coach. According to FOX Bet Sportsbook, Denver was already the favorite to land Aaron Rodgers if he left Green Bay, and snagging his OC certainly could not hurt those odds. Agreed 100% with Shannon. I've been in agreeing since this was rumored that he'd bring exactly what the Broncos need and this makes it much more likely. I love the young talent on Denver.

Growing up in KC in the 90’s and watching John and Shannon destroy my Chiefs built up my hatred for Denver. And yet I would like to see this happen for a weird reason. The AFC West would be nuts.

I became a Broncos fan in 96 due to TD being my favorite player. Our teams had our fair share of dominance. Even the chargers run in the mid 2000's. Of course, your guys run now is a lot more impressive. We hope to be more competitive if we can score Rodgers, Wilson, Watson or whoever. Good luck this weekend to the Chiefs!

I know the feeling. 90's Derrick Thomas (RIP) ALWAYS sacked Elway. I grew to hate the Chiefs while most broncos fans hated the Raiders. To This day The Chiefs are my most hated team. You guys are a big hurdle we can't seem to get over but eventually all good always comes to an end just like my Broncos. I hate the Chiefs but I love MAHOMES. That dude is awesome. I bought his jersey but I wouldn't be caught wearing it!

There actually is a pretty strong comp between Rodgers and Manning in terms of amazing all time great regular season players who often didn't get it done in the postseason. Shannon's right, that 2nd Super Bowl did a lot to erase that narrative for Peyton even though he was really on his last legs at that point.

broncos need a veteran qb for quite some obvious reasons: they already have a balanced team with good talent so they won't be drafting high enough to be confident they will be able to draft a generational qb talent (especially with elway always missing out in that regard) because even if they would tank they would end up outside the top5 and then you have to develop a qb most of the time so when he's playoff bound your championship window is closing due to the supporting cast. yet I don't think arod will be enough to win it all especially with the afc but he would definitely make them relevant again

@@LILCHEESE99 oh okay I wasn't aware of that...mentioning him on missing out for qb is quite funny yet it's no easy task to do and the main problem remains the same: the broncos are having a well rounded roster on both sides of the ball which makes it almost impossible to get a top draft pick and even then you don't know what exactly you get with these rookies (look no further than this draft with mac jones looking like the best qb of the draft while being selected as the fifth).

I think with Pittsburgh’s defense, young receivers who will actually get the ball way more. Najee Harris running the ball, keeping defenses guessing with Rodgers at the helm is a perfect fit. Not to mention the Tomlin and Aaron Rodgers combo. Tomlin is the perfect players coach and commands a room. Ben was basically a below average second string QB his last few years and Tomlin and that defense still managed to have a positive record and a playoff spot, granted it was a crazy long shot but they clutched that spot at the end. If Aaron wants to win and win now, the Steelers are his best bet in my opinion.

People are missing the fact, he was our offensive coordinator which it could be argued that our offensive needed serious work on consistency, maybe Rodgers can recognize that. I think he stays on one more season with the Pack, sure Lafleur is the play caller but idk maybe a new OC is in order

Ok hear me out... What about -- Gardner Minshew to the Broncos?? This is not a direct comparison to this conversation about Rodgers, but say Denver doesnt get Rodgers.. I can see Minshew as a step up from both Locke and Bridgewater. With that team, you could still get to the playoffs.

Drew Lock has the arm talent but he didn't have the coaching that could push greatness out of him. Bridgewater is a game manager not a game changer. I believe Rodgers can take Denver to the next level like Manning did.
