Perfect this vídeo to teach because you wrote what you were thinking and what was happening during the game. Very great idea.

Nice games to watchand learn from. Regarding the loss, a wise woman once told me checks, captures and treats are reviewed before we make a move, not immediately after.

The fortress setup reminds me of Carlsen v. Topalov in Shamkir 2018. From what I gathered with the tablebase, the position is a draw if you are able to set up a stable rank defense in which the opposing pawn is blockaded while the king is in a shelter. In this particular instance, it does work out for white if they play g4 at some point (to completely control the rank, even though it gives up a pawn), defend the remaining pawn by the king as necessary, and just oscillate the rook between e3 and g3. When you played Qc6+, it was winning because on f3 you have Kg7(!!), and everything works out geometrically (Rf5 runs into Qc2+, so the rook has to move to either b8 or d8, after which g4 is played and the rook cannot defend f3 once again due to Qc2+), while for the move your opponent played (Kg1), you play Kh5 and will pin f2 to allow Kg4 and infiltrate. If white plays f3 immediately after Kh5 to prevent Kg4, the only winning move is Qa1(!!) so that on g4, Kh4 disallows a fortress since h8 is protected. Honestly, though, it is really hard to give a very concrete winning strategy after this point, but suffice it to say that black is now threatening g4 to either weaken g3 or double the pawns and white can't stop all infiltration. It's kind of hard to fathom coming up with this in a blitz game or even a classical game for that matter (maybe the drawing setup that needs to be avoided can be found, but definitely not the win its entirety), so I wouldn't blame you for not seeing it with seconds on the clock 😛. In any case, big congrats on scoring against a GM!

I do like this video but by putting chess to the side. and looking at the chess yes you got 3 min but it's all about seeing and the numbers are about winning and losing ,and you already know how the pieces move and now the answer is how to see to do❤😊
