How often does one see an advertisement on RU-vid, AND THEN watches the entire thing, AND THEN searches for it to SAVE it? *raises hand* :D These artists are truly inspirational and beautiful...
How often? Two times. Google added the option to skip the pre-roll advertisements on youtube exactly 10 years ago, and during that time I have skipped the skip-ad button exactly twice. Tonight was the second, the first a couple months ago. I don't know if the 10 year 10,000 hour rule applies to Shen Yun dancers or not, but that's what it took google to convince me to watch more than 7 seconds of a commercial voluntarily. Something else I'm not sure about is whether or not google considers that a success, but the Shen Yun production probably can because I just bought two tickets for April 3 in Seattle. I'm sure my wife and whoever she picks as her date will have a great time.
I'm almost 13 years old and I have been learning Classical Chinese Dance since i was 6. I hope to be as strong and talented as the Shen Yun dancers when I'm older. 😊
I ALWAYS skip ads, but I was SO captivated by this! It was so stunning and literally took my breath away! The dancers were so elegant, even when falling down! They are the most talented people ever! I need to see this performance
I am like you. Usually I skip or mute all ads. But this one is so impressive and captivating that not only do I watch the whole thing, I searched it so I could watch it over and over again. I'm sure somewhere there are people who are showing even more dedication and determination to achieve their goals, but you have to go a pretty long way to find them.
I just went to shen yun and was amazed! It's very obvious that these dancers love what they do! I have dreamed of going ever since I was at a festival and this kind elderly man stopped and said hi to me and talked about shen yun and how I should go some time...ever since that day I have been obsessed and had posters all over my door!! And when I found out I was going I almost cried. And when the curtains came up I felt super emotional and was just so happy that after two years my dream came true. Thank you shen yun and I will see you next year!❤
I've only been to one Shen Yun concert in my life, compared to about three music concerts and several football and hockey games, and it easily topped them for how immersive it was. It draws you in and doesn'tet you go until the end. And then it leaves you craving more.
As a classically trained dancer (Vaganova Russian ballet technique), and of course theatrical, modern tap, etc - this made me cry - and I felt your determination inside me. We are all the same as dancers - We try to do the impossible - push harder than we think possible. George Balancine (Mr. B) Once said - if you don't fall and fail, you are not a dancer - we ALL fall and we all fail, because we ARE dancers. . You have my deepest love and respect - my greatest hope is that dance will someday bring humanity together as one - just as we are all dancers, we are all human - Peace, Love and Merde.... (Shoulder touch)
yup.. bingo.. wanted to know what it was called so i could look for tickets.. my white ass didn't remember the name so i had to search for "what does it take to be a" lol whomp whomp whomp
"You need to learn to speak . . . . without saying a word." / "It takes knowing that greatness isn't achieved alone, but by the Spirit of the Team." ..... This whole video - beauti-ful in several ways, forms, and facets.
First time I saw the performance was in Chicago at the Navy Pier and I was in middle school at the time. Really great! HIGHLY RECOMMEND PEOPLE TO SEE THEM👍🏽👍🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽💖💖
If you believe in God and previous life then there may be an answer: Some of these images are deeply in your ancient memory. Shen Yun just brings it back to you. You cried because it made you miss your true home - Heaven
I've been doing Chinese traditional dance since pre-k and honestly think, without dance I wouldn't be who I am now. Dance has become such an important part of my life.
Mary, like you, if it were not for dance we would not be who we are - We both know we become part of the music - the notes on the score - - I call it dancing inside the music. I have danced with four ballet companies and still teach. I also give myself my own barre every day.- It doesn't matter what the dance form, or our age - we ARE dancers, until we die! Peace, Love and Dance well! As we wish each other in ballet - Merde! (shoulder touch)
I am a 52 year old man who who diagnosed with Parkinson's disease about. alone even get off of my s years ago and I was told I would never walk again , be able to speak again let
Let alone even get off of my death bed however after spending so much time in constant torment on that bed the only thing I could think about was my daughter Leah as she was as a young child. This went on for a number of years and I just kept pushing myself to do everything that the doctors told me I hadn't a chance to achieve. I'm now walking with a walker and I am not ashamed and my vocabulary has actually gotten much much better than before I was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease, I've learned to live moment by moment with very little sleep and I dare not to even tell my doctors because they would never believe me, now they see that I'm walking so they said I don't have Parkinson's and I was misdiagnosed and given a new label of my sickness again and again. They continue to offer me a study on my health so it would benifit them however I've refused to go through their studies because I know exactly what has been improving my health, it has been ba deep love for my daughter who is now 20 years of age and my constant prayer to our true creator who I didn't know my entire life because religion separated me from even beginning to comprehend. I'm not a strong man by any means but a determined man who is asking our creator how to move forward moment by moment and as I've stated before I was trying conform to different religious groups and not acknowledging the truth of who Christ was or how he created miracle after mirical it was his complete faith in our Devine Creator that always was and shall always be who has created each one of us as His children to live in His Promises and rely on His promises as my own daughter relies on me to survive and NOW I know that God is LOVE the utmost highest power and authority who alone is true to His word unlike we the people He has created. All things are possible with God and our faith in His promises moment by moment.
Iv honestly never herd of this before. But after watching this short clip I’m captivated. These people are incredibly talented and you can see how much hard work and dedication they put into this. Thank you for sharing x
A lot of people don’t realise that dance is a huge part of Chinese culture. They have some of the most talented dancers I’ve ever seen! They even have cities that are known for dance schools and rich dance culture and history! I did Chinese classical folklore as a kid so without the acrobatics but traditional movements and many of them either were originated from the rice fields or from the imperial palace! Always loved it as a kid!
Is this the best advert ever? This has been coming up as an advert on RU-vid and I never skip it ... I’ve watched so many times now and I’m still mesmerised by the skill and agility of these performers. I applaud you 👏🏼
Oh great that counts me out... Lol I'll just admire them from the front row 😍 Honestly I loved the jumps and flips... I clapped like a kid lol It was my first time seeing the show (I'm turning 30 this year) in the beginning of this year and I'm grateful I finally experienced the magic... I'll be going again! 💚
Totally agree. the fancy costumes tend to distract and hide what the dancers are doing. When you see them in simple workout clothes and you see what they are actually doing, you are in shock, as in, "wait, WHAT? Did she just do THAT?? But that's impossible!!" They not only do the impossible, they make it look effortless and elegant beyond belief.
Thats exactly what I said, espicially when their legs over stretch doing the split jump. Amazing but I bet their bones can dislocate easily with such overstretched ligaments???
There are people that are born that way, with their body able to move in these extreme ways - I have a relative born in an Asian country (adopted) and, from the time she was 2, three or four she was able to extremely move her body, her back, do all splits and move her arms etc. in these ways withOUT being shown or taught anything or without ANY training in techniques, grueling practice, etc. And she still can 14 years later as a gymnast.
Thank you for this vid. Ive been to a few performances & they ARE spectacular. These dancers exemplify some of the best work on the planet! Keep up the good work! Namaste
OH ABSOLUTELY STUNNING ! It never ceases to amaze me. What beautiful, graceful and powerful form of language... To me the art of Shen Yun is one of the most beautiful forms of expression, and this amazing group of group of dancers and artists embody all the beauty, tradition and expressive language that makes Shen Yun such powerful and moving form of art. So I solute you,.... Stay strong, happy and successful.
I ALWAYS click out of the ads before a RU-vid. ALWAYS!! But .... not this time! I watched it all (as an ad before a different RU-vid). I called my husband in to show HIM. The I googled to find this RU-vid, and I have saved it off ... AMAZING! BREATHTAKING. And you speak to my SOUL. THank you!!
I found this add, and had to keep watching. When it was done, I clicked onto the Sight and found the Video on RU-vid. I love dancing, and this was something truly amazing. Just something I couldn't explain, I needed this.
I'm going to watch your show on Jan 17th in London. I cannot wait. I have loved Chinese history and culture since I was a kiddie and I absolutely love the dedication, the strength, strong mindedness, poise and everything else put onto the performance. You are all amazing. Hope I can take pics with the dancers 😊😊 my birthday gift to myself. 💖
Being at the age of 31 short and chubby, i still practice daily Chinese classical dance and nothing will stop me. I know that my chances to be professional dancer is very low, but im in love in this dance with all my heart so even if ill be mocked, laughed or things will be closed for me - i will do that till i go bye bye
The Asian people are beautiful. Full of self-discipline, maturity and humility. I am glad I discovered this form of dance, I hadn't heard of it before and I hope to go see a performance sometime. Shen Yun is truly electrifying and inspiring!
I can only imagine the amount of workload, stamina and precision that hides befind those fabulous stage outfits, those beautiful smiles and their movements which seem as light as a bird's. I got goosebumps! Hope that one day I'll be lucky enough to watch a show live. Wish you heaps of health and more strength to keep creating art and harmony! 💕
O my gosh the control, skill, and discipline these dancers have is amazing. I have been doing classical ballet my whole life (13 now), but Chinese ballet is so incredible, I would love to learn it Can't wait to see the show in Chicago 2021

I love shenyun! I will bring my family to watch it in Taipei in coming April, so looking forward to it! We are from Singapore, I wish ShenYun can come to Singapore one day!
ShenYun, the only performance that I wanna see a thousand times and more. Every time I see it, I get different inspiration from it. Have to see it yourself to experience the magic.
Gawd I wish that I had seen this video and experienced RU-vid back in the mid 90's when I was dancing professionally... would of understood what it takes to have made me a better dancer.... this video is amazing!
What does it take to be... at the end is worth it! All this is true to be performers of excellence in our professions no matter which one we choose to learn and perform. Very inspiring! Thank you!
I'm 12 and I have been learning classic dance since I was three, and dance for around eight hours a we k, and I hope I can be as talented as them one day. Super inspiring!
