10:18 Everyone pay attention to lap 6. Yes he's very fast, everyone seems to be nowadays. I don't think that's the hard part tbh. Watch on lap 6 instead. Watch his line between turns 4 and 5. Notice how much curb he decided to use. He then perfectly timed the switch back on to the new racing line, taking up plenty of road as he did it. It seemed to work perfectly when trying to prevent another driver from going along side or "getting his nose in" so that he could take the following turn on the optimum racing line and so not losing time. He did that perfectly. There's no way any of those guys could have done a dive bomb or even get along side. Same between 5 - 8. But then watch turn 10. He purposely held them up! The guys behind were in a potential striking range, or at least close enough for some good slipstream and DRS. He purposely took the entry slow and again, he timed this perfectly so that by the time he was mid corner, the guys (who didn't spot this tactic) behind would have had to compromise their exit getting to such a slow speed. By the time they got to the corner, he had enough speed and traction to make a smooth escape. No way would this be possible without having a truly awesome feel for the car and expert knowledge of each corner and its angles, tricks, lines and all the knowledge that comes along with that. And... he was doing all this whilst trying to warm and get to "grips" (pun completely intended) with his new mediums. This guy is seriously good. A real pro with a very calm, strong mind 👏 P.s. JD, I really believe you need to learn to drive slow before going fast. Because then you have time to learn the tracks properly and not flying around at 200mph hoping for the best every time haha. Just like you said, he drove in slower cars in iRacing and I think that's the difference. Plus iRacing is kinda realistic. It feels like driving in real life. That makes a difference.

I do trail braking aswell. You need to know when you are at the minimum refs of the gear you want to go so braking is useful then you go down. Idk how to explain, but I tried
