@@Module79L I have heard she's dating Alex, from Suicide Silence. If there's any truth to that, and, given his reputation for being a player type scumbag, I'm sure it won't last.
@Ezra Gilgeours You really should elaborate. For many this seems very negative? Maybe it is, maybe not? Especially if it is a negative response, a bit of elaboration and support of your views may be helpful. Otherwise, you comment just looks like a jab from a cowardice hater.
@@bloodbag2961 there's literally heavy reggae, jazz, bossa nova, and pop elements in their music and I don't think you can easily say any band is 100% anything
@@bloodbag2961 The simple way to put their answer is that yes something like "I speak astronomy" would be considered metal, but something like "vortex" could fall closer to the hard rock side, it's hard to categorize a band like them as they put a lot of different elements into their music such as Reggae in Crime & Punishment.
I think the fact that Jinjer is not purely metal that is why I like it. I was raised in the megadeath from deep purple forward. I reached a point where I needed expansion. I took to contempary jazz soul some trance , Arianna Grande then to dub step hip hop and mood. So seeing you brought me back to metal, metal with a twist of this and that .I think you have the potential with that in mind to open up and bring people back to concerts and less at home with you tube. I am a firm believer people get stuck in which they think they "have" to be . As if a hip hop artist can't get into heavy metal affraid what hip hop friends might think. It's crazy mental slavery. Have no idea where it started either.
I love these people they have grown on me tremendously in the short time that I have been acquainted with their band ! they are just sweet awesome solid down to earth people💝💝💝
Right now I am 32 years old, and I always say to people when they get closer to 33 years old, that is the age of Jesus Christ... as a joke, I’m not even a religious person but everybody gets serious when I say that. And Tatiana surprised me when she said that, it was a good feeling. Not so common.
I use both meters/centimetres and feet/inches. I'm in England (Yorkshire). Learned feet/inches from parents/grandparents and meters/centimetres at school. Was born 1972 around the time UK changed from imperial to metric.
@@ian260672 Yet still measuring shit in "Stone' ... Nobody know what that means, perhaps not even the English ... "I weigh 11 stone" Uh, OK ... how many Rhode Islands is that? It's a goofy measurement. From a quick Google search, it's a hold-out from the 14th century, and basically varied wildly from 4-32 pounds! What's this rock weigh I just randomly picked up in the field? Yeah, that many. Great measure of accuracy there our supposed superiors! But today it is 'about' 14 pounds (14 pounds - 6.35029318 kg), which is to say it doesn't match the metric they've invested in at all anyway at 7 decimal places from pounds to kilos, or perhaps the other way round. Any way you slice it, Stone is a dumb measurement today and even then.
I am not much in to this kind of star worship but I found the dialogue very real and warm. You come across as wonderful people. Cheers and all the best.
"Tatiana is 1,63m tall" American people be like: "wait, whats that supposed to mean?" Edit: I didn't mean to start a war against americans, but i can't stop laughing with the replies. "So patriotic"
But I feel like her fans appreciate the honesty, I know I do. I dont think that pitching her lower or distorting it takes away from her talent i think it builds upon it and I'm not mad about it or have any less respect for her but i def see what you're saying lol. Not sure if SHE would've wanted this known
@@felipemendes7408 The "dude" is the one who writes most of their music and the main influence behind their sound. If anyone is qualified to answer that, it's him. Anyway, I appreciate the honesty, these guys are pros, of course they use professional techniques. All natural is me singing in the showe :D
Why? He didn't say much... unedited vocals (or any instrument...) could never fit a professional record. There's no problem with using effects like reverb and delay. Far worse would be to use effects like autotune, which unlike the others I mentioned, alter the very sound that was recorded. Here's an analogy: she uses makeup to "alter" her face, but that doesn't mean she had plastic surgery to actually alter it.
What a tough spot to be in, where no-one in the band connects with or cares about the band name, or were the original members. I almost wish they could rebrand and rename, but that would wipe out a lot of the name recognition and work they have done as this group of 4 people. Eugene rules, as does the frontwoman. Whole crew of legit badass musicians.
Eugene doing the Aliens "kill meee" thing was great. I thought Tati was shorter, that's average height. I guess she just looks shorter next to the guys, and compared to some other singers like Floor. Eugene's comment about the distribution of the questions, and Tati's guess what her first question was made me laugh too. I saw someone on another forum guessing Eugene and Tati are together, but it is Alex Lopez from Suicide Silence - she posted about it on Instagram. I think Eugene is just happy that his lonely, gloomy friend and bandmate has some love in her life. :)
Jeffrey Fisher I’m not seeing your last response to me in the comment feed. But what you say about musicians being 100% true. At the most, perhaps the most advanced machines will be good imitators (at worst it’s the auto tune that we’re all too familiar with), but I think that the core of music will be 100% eternally a human endeavor. That is until we discover an extraterrestrial race that has something similar. Until then, it will be 100% human flesh, blood, and soul.
And half of those are in this comments section by the looks of it. The people genuinely annoyed/sad that Tatiana isn't single are creepy as fuck, like she's not allowed to be in a relationship or have a life without them. Idk so weird man
Man I just don't get metal bands sometimes... CLEARLY a metal band: "We're not metal." Yes we get it your style is mixed with a bunch of other genres and it's fantastic, but come on guys! lol
Had the same thought too! Actually many Bands I like a lot don't consider themself Metal, even thoug they are, like Jinjer, Tool, Gojira, Animals as Learders, Igorrr, etc. Well all of them are kind of progressive and different, but still more metal, than anything else (eraly Igorr might be an exeption, though).
@@time-lapseseb1141 Thought I was the only one. Lol yeah it's kind of Strange. Korn for example, said the same thing. If my band was responsible for pioneering a new sub genre of music I'd own it cause that's cool! It's so odd to me why some bands don't care for being associated with the Metal genre despite CLEARLY making heavy metal music.
@@omnicloudv7 yeah! It's interesting. Before hearing their opinion on this I would have 'labelled' them as progressive metal 🤷🏼♀️. Yes they use elements from a ton of other genres but I would still argue that the bulk of their material is metal. Although - you could see Tatiana disagreed a bit when he said 'I wouldn't say we are metal at all' 🤣🤣 her jaw kinda dropped lol.
You get to a point in metal fandom where you analyze the technicalities in what makes a genre, to the point where you're a walking encyclopedia. For people with other hobbies, they're metal. For hardcore music nerds, "what's the origin? What's the tempo? There's hints of this, this, and that..." I measure it by how much I wanna headbang to it, but it's anywhere between hard rock and heavy metal (or death metal).
They're in that long past 90's trend of being ashamed to call themselves metal, although they sound completely metal 90% of the time. As if they'd gain non metal fans with that sound, only by their statement.. lol. Clearly a stupid answer especially from him
She's been doing this for over a decade. I'm pretty sure she's gonna be alright. They tour nonstop (over 150 shows this year alone), if she was damaging her voice she would have lost it years ago.
@@williamduckett3407 I know she has but sometimes vocal issues take a long while to show. I'm not saying she's doing it wrong but that she should double check with someone especially when she says she doesn't really know how she does it ;P
I think Tatiana has a few things to show Melissa lol But in all seriousness, Tatiana's beautiful clean vocals aside, she has managed in a brilliant way teach herself how to mimic her favorite male and female extreme vocalist over the years of her musical journey, and after over the course of her 15+ years practicing this and shaping her own technique that's obviously sustainable for herself, she now arguably has some of the broadest textured variances and clarity in any extreme vocals male or female in the metal scene, at least that ive ever heard and ive heard a lot.
They speak ukrainian but their native language is russian. They are from very east of Ukraine, almost on border with Russia. At that region people living in cities mostly using russian language. Using the fact that people there russian speaking, Russia claimed that these lands should belong to them and invided. They had to escape from their native town Horlivka to Lviv when russians came there. Horlivka is still occupied and they can't visit it since then.
i agree with Eugune, the best questions so far. Good for you impericon. I wonder how is the process for creating new songs? Lyrics first? music first? That would be cool to know.
@average joe any metal like music, with tremolo guitars, blastbeats and guthural voice is considered extreme metal. Black Metal is part of Extreme Metal, even though it feels often much slower, than Death Metal. But it can be the other way round as well. Not the speed alone makes something extreme.
"Jinjer is absolutely atheistic" 8 YEARS EARLIER *Jinjer - Destroy (Live BEASTIARIUM_005_2011-08-25)* Ronald Barreto: "Very good! Are you christian?" Jinjer Metal Band: "definitely christian" Huh
lol ya know I've seen this band's videos all around RU-vid but I've never listened to them. But after watching this video i think I'm gonna give them a shot...they seem like cool people and interested to see what they sound like. I generally love all things metal so....let's do this!
Ive watched few of their videos and listen to songs on spotify but they are just one of the average metal band out there. No idea what's the hype over this band. They are good but what's the hype🤷♂️
you kick ass also, one of the most intense pulls i have ever felt from music. please come to salt lake city utah.i was very angry when i noticed you were in the u s in september.your music is beyond anything ive ever heard, then with your singer, wow.totally beyond the realms badass.
i love jinger, their music is totally unique, mainly because of vocals.first time i heard it,i was hooked.i hope to seem them soon.as long as they hit western us ill go check it.
If you were in central Scotland, say Glasgow for instance ) and went into your local shop, and asked for a bottle of ginger ( jinjer ) you'd be handed a bottle of pop, or soft drink like coke a cola.
Still not a bad thing tho. Everyone has a different taste in music and jinjer just isn't everyone's cup of tea, but most people just ignore it then etc.. You really surprised me in a good way with that, because it's a prove, that you can like someone even when you don't like their taste in for example music. And I don't mean only musicians, but friendships too. I think they seem like really awesome people in real life too tho haha (and sorry for the long answer, but I just had to point that out ^^')
Possible jinjer is a drink ... Ginger ale is a carbonated soft drink flavoured with ginger. It is consumed on its own or used as a mixer, often with spirit-based drinks. There are two main types of ginger ale. The golden style is credited to the Irish doctor Thomas Joseph Cantrell. The dry style (also called the pale style), a paler drink with a much milder ginger flavour, was created by Canadian John McLaughlin. :-)
Awww lucky, honestly I would feel shy due by my height, I’m 4ft 8in. And yes I do love their genre of music too. Very powerful voice and melody coming together
That's ok, you can say your not metal. We just won't allow you to say it very often that's all!! As a 56 year old who's been a metalhead ever since he was 10, or if you prefer, as old man who has a small piece of wisdom to offer, let me say this to the pair of you... I find it extremely prudent to keep happy the bulk of the people who pay your rent!! Keep Rockin'
Damn, I loved the chuckles, hahaha! And the question about the age... Man, I was so happy when I turned 34, so that people'd stop bringing the Jesus thing.
@Jimmy Marketti You've been to hell? I assume your not messaging me from there right now. How'd you get back? I thought hell was an eternal punishment.
