Poverty is so much more than going without. It destroys lives. It robs people of joy, hope, and opportunities. It tears families apart, isolates those most in need of support, and leads many to believe there is no way out.
Across the UK, millions of people are experiencing a poverty crisis, leaving them feeling trapped, desolate and abandoned. Sadly 1 in 2 of our clients had considered or attempted suicide before seeking help.
We are Christians Against Poverty and we cannot accept a society where poverty exists. We believe everyone should experience equal dignity, freedom and opportunity. Poverty robs far too many people of life in all its fullness. So we take action.
Transformed lives. Thriving churches. An end to UK poverty.
This is the world we want to see. This is the world we passionately seek.
Every working day we experience the privilege of seeing people discover hope as they begin to work with CAP and their local church. Tens of thousands of lives have been positively impacted through the powerful combination of practical help, restorative church communities and Jesus’ love.

You expect too much. Yes Christians are inherently flawed but we will choose to do our bit. Bit by bit we won’t change the world but someone’s world. My question to you is are you really doing that much more or just actively trying to discourage those who are from doing so?

@@TheLaTasher i give more to charity then i spend on my self. What happwn to look after parents? Do not envy or have jealousy? What happen to this life is not paradise. My family came extreme poverty; living in a corrugated steel shack on the banks of a canal, a mother father who couod not read or right. Hard work, prayer, sacrifice and perseverance

English Christians are the biggest contributor to the world than any other. We would take a tyrant off the throne then build roads, railways, hospitals and schools. We’d plant crops and teach our ways of doing things. We’d build wells and running fresh water outlets. We’d then leave, and back comes another tyrant to take it all for hisself.

theres different types o fchirstians. i don't think this lot are 'the man' or 'the opressor'. they look like members of the community who are trying to help out
