What Does Sebastian's Father Look Like? || Stardew Valley 1.6 Lore and Theory 

My headcanon is sebby dyes his hair and tells NO ONE he's a ginger

Since Morris, a corporate city type, has similar hair, I’d say Sebastian’s father was a guy from Zuzu City who also had dark hair. Also, going one step further, since he never mentions his father the way Penny, Alex, and Haley explain their own parents’ absence, I assumed Robin was an unwed mom when she moved to Stardew Valley and met Demetrius and that’s why they never mention his bio dad.

I think Jas, Shane, and Sebastian actually have black hair and the purple tones are just the light reflecting off it. Have you ever seen a crow in bright sunlight? the bright sun gives their feathers iridescent blue, green, and purple shimmers.

I assume for Shane and Jas the purple hair is just a way to portray a much darker tone of hair- possibly a natural black, and I've seen it done that way in other games. Sebby's looks so different because he's a cheap box dye boy. It would fit his archetype as well- personally I do know a few computer adjacent guys that have done the same

We all know his father is the very nice shopkeep in the sewers. The devs told me so.

Not beating the "everyone is a ginger" allegations

Personally, I always thought the dead sailor (with jet black hair) was his dad. Science guy showed up years later to do research and fell for Robin so they married. It’s weird though… maru and sebby are around the same age. 3-4 year’s difference at most. Maybe that’s why he rejects Demetrius so heavily. Saw it as his mom betraying his dad’s memory.

Another neat video. Do we know if Sebastian's father lived in the valley with them or if Robin and Sebastian moved there after the fact? If they all lived in the valley there's a chance there'd be more clues about him.

In some older versions, seb actually used to have jet black hair! So it might be possible his father has it, as concernedape considered a character to have black hair before, we just don't see anyone have it right now.

I believe Abigail mentions that she stopped dying her hair awhile ago, implying that it may have changed from childhood or her moms just saying she dyes it so people dont think abigail is the wizards daughter. Personally i think hes ginger and just dyes his hair, the blue red combo thing just seems too complex

I think his hair would be black or something and he dies his hair purple, though it wouldn’t be off brand for him to have naturally purple hair

Maybe! If Sebastian doesn't just dye his hair, perhaps he's actually a relative of Emily? Maybe a cousin. A half-brother, but no one talks about it? Emily's parents are never home, and we never see Sebastian's father. Maybe this man had an affair with Robin and his wife (Emily and Haley's mother) forgave him, but made him move away with her, to make sure he wasn't tempted again? Or perhaps he was originally married to Robin and then married Emily and Haley's mother, and had the two girls, but the awkwardness made them leave town? Perhaps Emily and Haley were never told about it, and therefore have no idea, and Sebastian just has no interest in any more family to be disliked by?
