Paul Solby First of all, in context, 1 Corinthians 14 is referring to the assembling of believers. Example.. In a local assembly where everyone generally speaks English, If someone started speaking Latin, then he wouldn’t be speaking to any man in that assembly because no one understands him but only God would understand him.

I rejected the speaking in tongues and mocked a lot when I was a recent christian. But 2 years later I felt like I needed to speak in tongues. So I take a time and I ask to God alone if it's come from him. I wanted this gift right now if it is come from him or I'll forget it for never ! He told me "Repent !" So I repented for mockery, false teachings, believed it comes from satan.... and suddenly I felt something left my body (delivrance) from my mouth. I felt soooo light and free ! I was so happy and forget about why I asked to God. So I went to my bathroom take a shower and I started to worship ! Somes words comes into my mouth and I started to scream in tongues ! My tongue moved on its own. I was so happy ! It changed me a lot in my spiritual life with Christ. Start to be bold for preaching the gospel, pray for sick, delivrance, hearing his voice, patience, love, grow in him ! So when I don't know what to pray, I just pray in tongues and it's like a recharge my batteries and I'm more sensible to read the Bible, pray, etc... I can ask the interpretation and God gives me words of knowledge, of praise, and it's confirmed by the receiver. Believe the words and obey. Don't judge people like I did. Ask to him and by faith obey, and you will see his grace.
And the problem with a lot of people is just because they can't speak in tounge or do do miracles in Jesus name they start calling fake and impossible. You're literally an example to how it happens and peopel should try it. Thank you for writing this.

This is comforting. I've been to churches where majority, definitely more than 3, spoke in tongues. And all at the same time. Nobody interpreted it. Also, isn't it supposed to be that one speaks and another interprets? No to be interpreted by the one speaking in tongues?

My dad started speaking in tongue at a funeral, I practice Buddhism and he keeps trying to shove christianity down my throat. I was baptized Catholic and received my communion, but stopped believing later in life. I just want the same mutual respect on religious belief or philosophical practice.

Thank you so very much for this message. I believe that Jesus brought me here to hear this. I also was told that speaking in tongues was evidence that I was baptized in the holy spirit. I was so confused and sad because I've prayed for it but never received it. I still love the Lord very much and I cried listening to this. I finally have peace in my heart that I need to focus only on Jesus. I thought that something was wrong with me that I haven't been able to speak in tongues. No one ever speaks heavenly language in the bible - you are inserting your own word in to in the bible. Remember the bible saying on 1 cornithians 14:28 If anyone speaks in a tongue it doesn't say heavenly tongue. If anyone speaks in a tongue, two, or at most three, should speak in turn, and someone must interpret. 28 But if there is no interpreter, he should remain silent in the church and speak only to himself and God--Remember it says SILENT-SILENT and it doesn't say heavenly language as well. I just came back from a revival. I watched 7 people laugh and act drunk all around me. I had never seen this before but I felt like the man in front of me was not of God. I am a very new Christian, (3 yrs), came home to look up speaking in tongues at church which they did all night and came across this video. I was surrounded by spirits that were not of God and nobody realized it. I felt it was off so much so that I grabbed the man’s hand in front of me, lifted his hand to Jesus and prayed over him to myself. WOW I can’t believe people thought that was normal. Focus on Jesus Christ! That's correct! Only Jesus matters. His love and mercy and kindness we must follow and must show in our personal life. If we fail to imitate Jesus, even If we claim to be speaking in tongues, we are not truly filled with the spirit and are empty inside.

Wow. I just had my first experience speaking in tongues and I wanted to share. I was in prayer for a good 20 minutes, and asking God to speak to me. When I was done, I saw my friend had sent me a voice note of her praying for me. So I went back into prayer and listened and just kept praying with it... then, a huge wind came in through my window... and I felt like I was on fire. I began speaking in a language I didn’t understand and I began crying afterwards. I was drenched in sweat. I knew afterward that it was me speaking in tongues and I was praising him. As I remember the book of Acts speaking about the topic of tongues, I looked it up after and this is what it says, it blew my mind because this is what happened exactly to me. GOD IS GOOD!!! 😭 Acts 2: “When the day of Pentecost arrived, they were all together in one place. And suddenly there came from heaven a sound like a mighty rushing wind, and it filled the entire house where they were sitting. And divided tongues as of fire appeared to them and rested on each one of them. 4And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance.”

I speak in tongues and 2 I was given the ability to interpret. I am touched when praying alone and the power of the Holy Spirit is so strong and my prayers become utterances of tongues. Such a beautiful and personal relationship we have with Jesus!!!

This video is how I found this channel, thanks to God! I'm so thankful for Daniel bringing the bible to life! Helping me back to life! I had gone through so much confusion and hurt from churches from varying denominations. I'm over here suffering from illness and college debt due to not being able to finish programs due to my condition. So unfortunately i don't have money to give and don't know if i ever will, though I thought I was going to when I was in the last training I did. My gift is my singing and my pure love for others, not in any of it for myself, though people in my past were blinded to that. Before I was rejected from a certain church I had a lovely Christian worship singing/spoken word group with my fiance for 3 yrs. After starting that church he turned on me thinking that church was all that mattered, I wasn't against it but it seemed everyone was against me. The women of the church apparently "didn't accept" me and so he stopped caring for me also. It makes no sense and cost me my dream of continuing to make music with him, which I thought was my destiny, joining our abilities into ministry so beautifully. And it was. And it makes no sense because I am a completely devoted true Christian. I would die for Him (God) and do whatever He wants. It's been soooo hard to lose such a great worship music making partnership but I trust God will lead me to do my utmost even in the midst of my health condition which I pray will one day be gone if it is His will.

God used the gift of tongues to magnify the apostles as heavenly messengers, in spite of lacking education, reputation, and human authority (Acts 4:13; 5:12-13; 8:14-19; 19:1-7). * Bible tongues had a definite beginning. They began with the empowerment of the church, which was to worship in an entirely new way (John 4:21-24). The Spirit was to guide the apostles into all truth for writing the New Testament as the new manual for religion, but He would reveal truth by gifts until then (John 14:26; 16:13; Acts 10:28; I Cor 12:7-11; 14:37; II Tim 3:16-17; II Pet 1:21). * Bible tongues lasted only a short while. Paul told the tongues-speaking church at Corinth that the Spirit's revelatory gifts would end (I Cor 13:8). In spite of their emphasis on prophecy, tongues, and gifts of knowledge, Paul promised that these gifts were temporary. Charity was a more excellent way of serving, for charity was permanent and would never end (I Cor 12:31; 13:8,13). * Bible tongues were very inadequate. The spiritual gifts of prophecy, the word of knowledge, and tongues brought only a partial revelation of God's will to any man or church (I Cor 13:9). They were short-term, incomplete fixes for immediate instruction and answers to questions. Because of this, prophets had to work together, for their gifts were very limited and partial (I Cor 14:29-31). * Bible tongues were not needed after perfect revelation came. The New Testament scriptures were the perfect revelation that ended and replaced the Spirit's revelatory gifts, which were all partial (I Cor 13:9-10). It’s says our face will look into someone else’s face.. and we will know as we are known. So what does the scripture mean by “that which is perfect is come?” It means when we see Jesus face to face and know Him and all things as He now knows us. It means when we get to heaven. Sir, you have taken scripture way out of context. Tongues, knowledge, and prophecy has not ceased. I’m going to ask you to repent for teaching a false christ and being a modern day Pharisee. So if it always an language why doe sit says that no one understands? If i pray in Chinese a Chinese person would understand me, right? I dont know if you ever prayed for 2 3 hours with the church asking God to baptize you with the Holy Spirit. Thank you Brother for this subject troubled myself. I struggle in most of today's churches for what I am shown in the Word of God is different to what is taught. I believe in the Word more than what is preached today & it troubles my heart. I had told the pastor of the last church I went to that I was & still am under alot of attacks form the fallen one but not once was I offered prayer. I was a youth leader for a few years & never held back the true meaning of the Word of GOD from the youth even if others didn't believe it but I always told the kid to always test what I & others told them against the Word of the Bible & to ask the Holy spirit to guide them. As I tell people it wasn't a church or a pastor or a man that brought me back to God but Jesus himself came to me, as a unbeliver & told me to believe in Him & follow Him & I am so thankful for that chance. I don't fit in many churches nor do I fit in this world but my trust & faith is in Jesus & His Word. God bless!

Remmy Williams There are real kinds of speaking in tongues. But many people fake it by crowd pressure or crowd hypnosis. (Real demons works and their purpose) Remember that don’t reject the gifts of the Holy Spirit. Speaking in tongues still exists. Perhaps you will have this gift. (Actually some fundamentalist pastors can speak tongues during praying but they still reject it, and think it’s demonic.) Turning people hearts to repent and making them believe in Jesus Christ are the basic works of the Holy Spirit. @@nickie5767 I would urge you to study the scriptures because sadly he is mistaken. He takes the book of Corinthians out of context by saying that there always has to be an interpreter, but we see that Paul himself said that he spoke in tongues daily, we know that within the jail cell there wasn't always an interpreter. There are two types of tongues, the first works as a sign that the person has been filled with the Holy Ghost, this occurred in Acts, the second is what is referred to in Corinthians and this is the gift of Tongues and Interpretation. When the first occurs, sometimes it's simply a heavenly language that only God understands, or someone in the room that speaks the language may understand, whereas the second requires an interpreter, which is a gift unto itself as well. I hope this has helped you in some way and would still tell you to not even take my word for it but search the Bible. Look at every account in Acts, sometimes it simply says that it occured as it did in the beginning, which we know the beginning as the Day of Pentecost. ru-vid.com

Speaking and tongues is just speaking a different language that's all if the people in your church are speaking in a babbling way it's demonic it is not from God ....God is not a Lord of confusion
I will give you a word that Jesus spoke to the Pharisees. The Bible says that man looks at the outward appearance but God looks at the heart. Jesus said the Pharisees were whitewashed on the outside and looked clean on the outside but inwardly they were ravenous wolves. He called them open graves. Jesus said it is not what goes into the mouth that defiles a man but what comes out of a mans mouth because what comes out of a mans mouth comes from the heart. Jesus said to make the inside of the cup clean first then make the outside clean second. The reason Jesus said this is because many professing Christians are inwardly lost and don’t know the Lord Jesus. Outwardly they can play the part of a Christian very well sometimes but when you really get to know them they are straight up evil deceivers. Jesus said you will know them by their fruit. The fruit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, meekness, self control. Jesus told his disciples that this is how they will know you are my disciples. If you love one another. People can fake a lot of things in the church but you can’t fake true genuine love. The Apostle Paul said even if you can speak with the tongues of angels but have not love you have nothing and that you are a clanging gong. Trust me when I say this. Seek to do the Lords will first and the Holy Spirit will distribute the gifts to you for the edification of the church. Gifts are never given in order to prop someone up to make them look more spiritual. Gifts are given to true born again believers for building up the rest of the church. It is never a selfish thing. Just first make sure your faith in Jesus Christ is real. Then just seek to love God with all your heart and all your strength and all you mind and soul. Then love your fellow human as yourself. Or when Daniel fainted while he was receiving a vision. I mean there are so many accounts in the bible about people doing 'awkward' things under the influence of the Holy Spirit. You need to read and study the whole bible.
Hi I have did some little research. And I came to the question : Why do we speak in tongues . What's the meaning and what's the effect. In acts chapter 2 I believe it's talking about real languages. Because it doesn't make sense if they are unbelievers that they will understand a word what the disciples were preaching because they haven't received the spirit yet (the listeners). Then why would God want us to speak different. Can't god understand Dutch ? Look I'm thinking things through and find a point of doing something. Hannah prayed with her lips without making any noise, is that wrong or unheavenly? 1 cor 14:2 , what if a preacher from France and he preached in our church . It's not gonna build the church but himself because nobody understands him unless there is a translator. I hope you won't take me by my word but investigate the scriptures and be reasonable. My only question and what I have prayed for understanding on is this: is the gift of tongues what we know as tongues today? I grew up in a pentecostal setting where many spoke in tongues but not alot of Jesus as I can remember as kid but than as an adult Jesus led me to a baptist setting where it was all about Jesus, the gospel, the grace of God, sanctification, etc but I didn't see any tongues, interpretation, miracles or the gift of healing. So i struggle mightily with the gifts of the Holy Spirit. I have prayed for the gift of tongues just to understand them. But i am encouraged by what brother said here: Jesus is the House, the gifts are the shadow of the house. If we have Jesus and the gospel, saved and under His grace, we have everything. The gifts are a "bonus" I guess you can say meant for the purposes they are given. Pray believers that Jesus would give me understanding on the gift of tongues.

Praying in tongues, its different than speaking in tongues 1 Cor 14.13, says speaking in tongues is for the church when someone interprets, but praying in tongues 1 Cor 14.14 to15 is personal prayer , when you pray to God in tongues the Spirit intercede Rom 8.26, 27, Jude 1.20 praying in the Holy Spirit, you may also sing in tongues verse 1 Cor 14.15, so theres a difference in speaking and praying in tongues,
No one ever speaks heavenly language in the bible - you are inserting your own word in to in the bible. Remember the bible saying on 1 corinthians 14:28 If anyone speaks in a tongue => it doesn't say heavenly tongue. If anyone speaks in a tongue, two, or at most three, should speak in turn, and someone must interpret. 28 But if there is no interpreter, he should remain silent in the church and speak only to himself and God--Remember it says SILENT-SILENT and it doesn't say heavenly language as well. Even Paul wanted all the believers to speak in tongues. 1 Cor 14:5 In 1 cor. 12,,31 But earnestly desire and zealously cultivate the greatest and best gifts and graces (the higher gifts and the choicest graces). And yet I will show you a still more excellent way [one that is better by far and the highest of them all-love]. Remember Corinthians was a carnal church and had a baby knowledge of God. Acts 1:8 says we recieve power when the H.S. comes on us, And they all spoke in tongues.
Whatever we speak , in tongues or not in tongues ,we are here to worship our God in spirit and in truth and to edify one another as true believers of God and not to cast dispersion or cause division with our Godly gifts.

I was sharing the gospel yesterday to one of the hardest hearts I have ever witnessed to. He new his bible, he asked me about tongues I did not have a simple clear answer. Today this video popped up🙏

Look carefully at Acts 2:5 “...5 Now there were staying in Jerusalem God-fearing Jews from every nation under heaven. 6 When they heard this sound, a crowd came together in bewilderment, because each one heard their own language being spoken. ...” The Apostles come out of the Upper Room experience and are immediately declaring the Gospel for foreigners and those foreigners are understanding what they are saying. Many Christians in their prayer language speak in known foreign languages in the same way the Apostles spoke miraculously in foreign languages easily discernible by foreigners. That’s exactly what this exact Bible text is telling us. It is also wrong for our young man to using only the use of tongues in the church as the only application of that particular gift. In fact, my tongue speech has already been verified by a missionary to a specific country in Europe who has an accredited degree in that foreign language from an established accredited university. That is court level evidence which no judge or jury will dispute. Certainly some tongue speech can be in the tongue of both angels and/or man. but the Bible clearly states this, as well. In fact, back in the early 1900s, the Pentecostal leader and Healing Evangelist John G. Lake and his organization would fund people in his ministry to go overseas to minister to the foreign country appropriate to, and if they could figure out which language their tongue speech was. Many times, once in that country God would give them the companion Gift of Interpretation so they would know exactly what they were saying. Also the young men mistakenly ignores the the entire issue of the experience of the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. How convenient. This is clearly the experience of thousands of Christians. That’s how come he does not really understand the the entire issues of Supernatural Gifts of the Holy Spirit and thus does not move in any of the gift himself. But somehow he feels moved to criticize others with old worn-out arguments that falsify the truth. Because it increased the faith of others to believe that he was the Messiah. John 4:48 - “Unless you people see signs and wonders,” Jesus told him, “you will never believe.” That’s why Jesus did Miracles and why they are still needed today. So show us the medical evidence of miracles performed by demons since that obviously must be happening all the time in the current day. Also our friend has never been taught anything about Deliverance ministry and therefore assumes miracles might be coming from demons. He has to ‘demonize’ the people he doesn’t like because that wrongly cuts them down to raise up his restrictive and false Bible interpretations. It is a gift and not everyone can have it. And it is not the same like the Pentecostal does or the charismatic does it. Be careful with it because God is not a God of confusion.

@leelo ibha You are grossly mistaken. You cant summon evil spirit by speaking in the language of the Holy Spirit. He is a Holy Spirit and not an evil spirit. Scripture also says that he who speaks in tongues speaks mysteries to God (1 Cor 14:2) and in another place, it calls it the tongues of angels (1 Cor 13:1) which indicates that tongues is a language of heaven and not of the earth as you have stated. There are two kinds of tongues in the Bible. 1. The tongues of angels (the gibberish that Christians speak) 2. Tongues of men (when Christians are inspired to speak an earthly language that they previously didn't know like what happened in Acts 2:8) I challenge you to find any Biblical reference to your doctrine
Being a Baptist for 25yr and switching to a Pentecostal church in the last year I’ve really struggled with this subject. I’ve read and researched yet still not satisfied with what I’ve discovered. I'm so glad you have covered the " Drunk in the Spirit" I've been told that it would be so awesome to need a designated driver. ( Past church) You covered this topic well. It's been an honor to hear your testimony and journey. It's helped me to understand things that brought on some confusion. As a widow to recognize what a Godly mad looks like. Great teaching! I needed to hear it. That is after I was abused by a what I thought was a trusted friend. In my vulnerable state i allowed such abuse. Maybe feeling the guilt of the loss of my husband. I felt it was deserved. That God would change this man if I just stuck it out and prayed non stop. I see now some things are distractions and not all assignments I think are from God are. ( Though Lesson) God's delivered me from so many things. I'm so hungry for more of the Lord. I am chasing Him with all I have. Having to remember what it is to surrender all over again. I once fasted all television, perverse things that we have become jaded to. I can tell you the spirit becomes sensitive. New eyes and new ears. Learning that Jesus is more than enough for me. Keeping my eyes Fixed on the author, perfecter and finisher of my faith. God is faithful! He's Holy and worthy of it all. Only Jesus can change us. Only Jesus can bring true Joy. Only Jesus can fill the void. Just give me Jesus! ❤️
Every time the word tongue is mentioned or tongues, it refers to either dialect or language in the Greek. You have no case that gibberish is tongues of any kind in Scripture.

It doesn't mention prayer. 1 Corinthians 14:22 CSB Speaking in tongues, then, is intended as a sign, not for believers but for unbelievers, while prophecy is not for unbelievers but for believers.
I am 17 and I speak in tongues, it's amazing, I really love it. I thank Jesus Christ for that. The bible tells us 1 Corinthians 14 " 4 Anyone who speaks in a tongue, edifies, themselves"
Speaking in tongues is one of THE MOST POWERFUL gifts of the Holy Spirit which has incredible benefits. Paul spoke in tongues more than us all and wrote 2/3 of the New Testament. We must always go back to the Word of God and never base our belief system on the traditions of men. God bless you all🙏.
Ummm....Paul did not write 2/3rds, unless perhaps someone is counting number of letters. Word-count wise, Luke, if in fact he wrote both Luke and Acts, wrote more words than Paul. I, too, misspoke this in the past, not clarifying my words and methodology. Trite, though. Also, many believers are not sola scriptura but rather quadrilateral, "tradition" being 1/4 of how we determine doctrine. Charismatics, whether they realize it or not, use quadrilateral thinking to "prove" a subsequent to salvation experience -- hence why cessationists (almost always sola scriptura) don't "see" it in the Scriptures as being applicable today.
Where in the Bible does it say that speaking in tongues is one of the most powerful gifts? Are you basing this on the Bible? 🤔 So it is with you. Since you are eager for gifts of the Spirit, try to excel in those that build up the church. 1 Cor. 14:12

Yes, very true. However, I remember being in church one Sunday, I was intensely praying and praising Yahshua. I cut out everything around me and I focused on one thing- the Almighty Most High God- and me in his throne room worshipping and praising him whole heartedly. Suddenly, I felt the holy spirit over shadow me and rise up in me then I spoke in tongues aloud, so loud you could hear me through all the loud music. I didn't want to speak out loud but God moved me to speak out loud. Also, many years ago before I had never spoken in tongues. I had been praying and fasting for about 3 days. One day while in prayer I begin to notice words that I didn't understand coming from my mouth and I tried to stop them because I was not aware of how tongues should be performed. so I tried desperately not to speak in tongues during my private prayer. suddenly the spirit rushed over me like a tidal wave of power, and I begin to speak loudly in tongues from that day, up until now. I speak in tongues continuously morning, noon and night. The spirit never ceases to stop praying. I can join in at any time, morning, noon and night. Glory be onto yahshua hamashiach my Lord and Savior my God.! Please pray for interpretors. the body of Christ needs interpretors.. Father, please raise up tongues interpretors today.

Charna you need to prayer for the Holy spirit to guide you to understand the scriptures. You are sooo confuse about tongues doctrines. Tongues is Languages . if you speak another language to interpret scriptures you have that gift. My advise is to go to Amazing Facts TV on You Tube by Doug Batchelor he talks about this topic. Listen to him and judge for yourself.
I grew up in a loving family but they're Catholic. I wanted to know the truth and eventually I read the Bible; watching online preachings, baptism and spritual warfare. When I first spoke in tongues and received the Holy Spirit by faith (its hard to receive water baptisms here) my dad heard me and was alarmed. Even more so, when I suddenly secluded myself to bow down in God's presence, on the floor. I was all smiles and in peace when I confronted my family at how biblically wrong and watered down most parts of their religion was. I had once dreaded this confrontation since I knew how devoted they were to this church's idols and 'miracles'. But with the Holy Spirit, I managed to provide an answer to all of my dad's explainion in defense of their religion and its idols. My right hand was shaking due to the Holy Ghost and my mom was terrified since it was the first time she saw me like that. The next day, they showed me more love than usual, and begged me not to leave them (in the religion). Their tears are my weaknesses and my mom and grandma cried that next day, fearing that I was being separated from them. But the truth is, unless they follow what is written in the Bible and form a true relationship with Jesus, it's them that'll be separated from me. And I didn't want that, so I prayed to God and He gave me that strength. But, my family still holds on to their religion. Still, I know that the seed has been planted and I trust God will save them. If they believe in Christ and what He did on the cross and if they are living holy they are saved. You arent more saved than them just because they are catholic. Those “miracles” happen for a reason, how many times was a catholic priest able to take the demons out of people and Jesus said that demons cant go against demons so its obviously a power they got from God. Why judge catholics like that. Protestants have a pride issue where they feel like only their denomination is deserving of heaven and all catholics are damned to hell. Thats not how salvation works.
Amen!! I agree; speaking in tongues is a spiritual gift. Some christians will have it and some won't. Like how some are called to be teachers, ministers, evangelist, pastors and such. There are other spiritual gifts then just speaking in tongues. I heard some churches say that you will go to hell if you do not speak in tongues. But that is not true. That is a false statement. Thats why we must know the word,and God for ourselves so that we will not be lead astray.
Someone told me the exact same thing today, it really hurt when I heard those words "You don't have the Holy Spirit within you if you don't speak in tongues" (They talked as if they know everything about my personal journey with God.) Also, they said I have rejected the gift of Holy Spirit and that I do not have the "true" salvation. Ephesians 2:8-9 “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.”

I have also attended a church in Pretoria who also promotes everyone speak in tongues and i was the only one that could not speak or understand speaking in tongues. I was so confused throughout the whole service and felt like the problem was with me. Thank you Daniel for making this issue so clear.
no bro ...we who speak in tongue is not from man but from holyspirit but inorder to speak we should receive the holy spirit...the holyspirit gives utterance to speak and it is the evidence of the baptism of the holyspirit

I wondered if I feared God then the next morning I woke up with a deep fear of God in the core of my being and in a way I cannot explain and was more real than anything I've ever felt. It was as if God was in the room with me just to let me know that I feared Him. Later I had my first rapture dream. I was with a few people I didn't know. The woman next to me was standing and a light shown thru her hip and grew and took her. I waited patiently knowing I was next. The next day I felt as if I were already in the clouds with the Lord. The relief was overwhelming like a hundred pounds of sadness and sorrow were cut off of me. I felt so light. I was covered and saturated with peace. I tried to look down over the cloud then I was back in my office chair. The day after that I felt a tube/rope come from above and attach to me and was waiting for Dad to say NOW! A month after I had my second rapture dream. I was moving homes and I had to grab all that I could last second, NOW! In a hurry I had to decide what thing had worth. I stared at the bed while time past thinking. What had value? I posted this on RU-vid and a Mother posted she had this very dream and her son too. Months later I had another rapture dream. In the dream we had to watch people being executed. Sometimes the execution went wrong and people suffered a tremendous, painful death. The guy telling us this then said "So be ready" and I woke up. I never thought about the rapture much until a guy on RU-vid out of the blue brought up that I would never be raptured when I never brought it up. Then I had dreams, waking dreams, visions and FELT it. The Lord spoke to me twice and he spoke into my deaf ear my right ear and he said "You're on the right path" and "Because I love you". This is Apostle paul talking here a man of delighted study and prayer... from him we learn that praying in understanding (ethics languages) is not enough. Especially when dealing/ addressing the kingdom of darkness. sometimes when the Holy spirit takes over a man in the place of prayer, his/her prayer utterance changes also... Anyone who has touched this depth of prayer would understand. And that was the secret of Apostle paul ministerial success.- Praying in tongues. I Corinthians 14:18-20 NKJV I thank my God *I speak with tongues more than you all*; yet in the church I would rather speak five words with my understanding, that I may teach others also, *than ten thousand words in a tongue.* Brethren, do not be children in understanding; however, in malice be babes, but in understanding be mature. chai🔥 hallelujah. Thank you Brother for explaining so good this matter, I know many people in my church who just speak not only in other tongues, but they make noises while praying and no one understands what is happening, I always restraint to myself of giving opinions about that and pray that God forgive me if I do not feel that coming from the Holy Spirit. Is clear that God is a God of order and not a God of confusion, that is why the apostle Paul said that someone has to interpret those tongues to edify the church of God.
Thank you for this, I know that it's from God because I have just finished praying and asking God for the gift of speaking in tongues. I was asking God why I am not able to, and asking him to allow me to. I went to the extent of asking him for the Holy Spirit. I was in tears. It was 4.00am and rainy. My heart longed for this and I was searching for answers. Then I felt an urging in my heart to see what information was there about this topic on RU-vid. I searched for it and was further urged to view your message. Once I watched it, I was in tears because I realized that the Holy Spirit was revealing its truth to me and what I read and believed in the Bible about speaking in tongues in 1st Corinthians was true all along. I cried and thanked the Holy Spirit for confirming the truth about this gift of his to me. I was just beginning to doubt because of these other non biblical but popular teachings going on around me today. But now I will always trust in God's Holy Spirit and word to guide me. Speaking in tongues is a Gift of the Holy Spirit and I leave it to him to give it to me according to his will and not according to my own selfish reasons or to prove my position in God's Kingdom to others. I have only spoke in tongues twice, both times my mouth went numb, and could keep speaking unknown words that flowed through the numbness, both were in an exorcism type of environment so In my case it was only in response to a need, not every Sunday. They both happened when I was younger, maybe 8 & 14. I am actually no longer Christian as I had a bad experience with my parents but I still believe in some kind of spirit/afterlife. Just trying to find the truth.
@@devonleavitt1771 I understand where you coming from, sometimes the parents were taught wrong and they don’t take the time to find out for themselves they rely on the preacher pastor so you search HIM with all your heart and you will find HIM and maybe you can teach your parents and forgive each other…
@@devonleavitt1771 Jesus also had a bad experience with religious people, they persecuted him. Find your own way to Christ, just you, the Bible and the Holy spirit, no intermediaries, until he tells you it's time, and he will.
Same thing was happening with me. As i was keep asking God to give me gift of tongue as not knowing the proper truth. But as i prayed more, the holy spirit guided me to search this and i found this. And i am glad that i found the truth, now i ask God to me me gift according to his will.
It was my ultimate desire for many years to speak in tongue. I thought it was the manifestation that God was pleased in my life if I have that gift. I've been born again for 27 years and I still don't speak in tongue so I really felt I wasn't pleasing God. Thank God for using bro Daniel 🙏 who speaks boldly about biblical truths. Now in the midst of the pandemic my family especially my kids grow in their Christian faith by watching his videos. Honestly, we can feel God's conviction as he speaks the word of God. The pastor preaching in this video is right on, I’m in my mid-40s and I grew up in a church that told everyone that if you don’t speak in tongues you’re not saved. And I believe that for so many years until I started finally reading the Bible for myself for the first time, and I went to my uncle who is a pastor and I told him I said that I wasn’t saying anything about that if you don’t speak in tongues you’re not safe and he said yeah I know. I was just telling my cousin that just some months back that I believe that People who speak in tongues try to use it against the people who don’t to make it seem like they’re more spiritual exactly what this pastor just said. Speaking in tongues is a gift and everybody gets a different gifts. Or they try to use this vers on you, Mark 16:17-18 King James Version 17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; 18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. The say see it says you got to speak in tongues, but it also says you’re supposed to lay hands on people and they supposed to be healed, you’re supposed to cast out devils, you’re could drink any deadly thing and It not hurt you, go pick up a can of gasoline and drink it and see what happens.
Can you speak many different languages in this world.? When I go different country to preach the gospel of Christ I need an interpreter. If no interpreter Im just like a noise gong. I speaks 3 languages, English, Pilipino, and spanish. The gift of the holy spirit was given to all apostles of Christ, and they are last. The bibles are all translated in different tongues, or languages.
@@henryloyola6171 Speaking in toungs is one of the Gifts of the Holy spirit. It's direct contact with GOD with no interference from the Devil. I was anointed with the Holy Spirit when I received my gift and I will be Eternally Greatful for it.
When I was younger, I always believed that "Speaking in Tongues" meant someone was gifted with speaking different languages or languages in order to spread the word of God to those who speak that tongue, and others who understood what was being preached would translate for that group wanting to know the word of God.
