In this episode Dr. Betters answers the question, "I have been watching your series and enjoy and learn from it. I saw your video on emotional abuse. It took me many years and care from a psychologist before I learned and accepted the fact that I had been emotionally abused by my wife. She placed everyone above and before me. She withholds sex from me. We were married for 25 years and it was her that left me. I made a commitment and lived up to it. I will not go into the details, I would only be reliving the pain and I am sure you have seen and heard similar situations. But many problems I have had to deal with in my post-divorce life were a function of my wife's emotional abuse and that emotional abuse includes withholding marital relations as a weapon. I was and still am a normal individual with normal desires. I have come to terms with my (past problem) however I believe this is a topic worthy of one of your lessons. I have learned where many wives do not have any understanding of the importance of an intimate relationship with their husbands."

I can tell you why she is withholding. She sees herself as a victim and won’t take accountability for her own actions. Don’t worry. After your divorce she’ll switch the sex back on.

It's been 8 years without even a kiss. We are married 22 years, sexless marriage for the last 15 years (once a year to year and a half) - any time I try to discuss the issue or find a compromise I am accused of narcissism. Going to a Christian marriage an sex therapist and even she can't get my wife to realize the damage she is doing to our marriage.

In addition, God hates divorce, meaning a man cant get out of a marriage to a wife who withholds relations without pissing God off (another advantage for women) How could any woman in existence not be a Christian? God stacked the deck heavily in their favor

I started to think that, but he is right to think that he doesn't have the whole story. People lie for a lot of reasons. Who's to say the OP didn't lie about the whole divorce to make himself feel better about not being available when his wife needed him?

Sorry, but withholding within the covenant of marriage is sexual immorality. It is encompassed in the greek porneia, which translates from the hebrew, which specifically entails withholding in addition to being quarrelsome, and committing adultery. Withholding is idolatry and the justification for God divorcing Israel.

Good message. My wife stopped all intimacy when she could not make me harass our neighbours. Intimacy was good until then. Been sexless marriage for the last twenty two years. I will not change and nether will she. Sin is a factor we have to consider in the marriage too.

I was going to to the same, but I don't think anything will be solved by just sending a video like this. It should be watched together and discussed. That would best facilitate movement in the positive direction. Also, doll yourself up before you watch the video. Make his favorite drink or something. Most men appreciate effort in a woman's appearance and effort in making his home a sanctuary. If he's not having sex with you try to think about what you're doing that might make him feel like that.

What about when you're wife had a secret relationship that you never knew about. Then tried to divorce you privately and afterwards, went out and got pregnant for another man, and now she wants to come back with her burden and start over again. How is this acceptable for any man?

I tried many times but she rejected me over and over and it led to problems in my marriage because i was constantly embarrassed and it lowered my self esteem. I tried to discuss with her but but she always shut me out and it's very frustrating. I'm 28 ,so is she. I now slept in different room, having multiple sex partners outside and I'm happy at home concentrating on my kids because I got no issue with her. I will never have sex with her even if she wants it because I don't want to be in that embarrassing cycle again. As long as I serve my kids is far important than having sex with my wife. I'm now not attracted to her because I've realized how female outside appreciate me and treat me sexually. I'm a Christian and so is my wife but I can't find a solution to it unless my sexual feelings are some how removed. I know adultery is SIN but it's been 8 months since the last time and another 5 to 6 months since previous.

You need to understand what God clearly says in His word that the body of the wife is meant ONLY for her husband and the body of the husband is meant ONLY for the wife. I am not saying her rejecting you is right neither am I saying you sleeping with other women is right either. You both are equally wrong. Therefore, if you are facing problems in your marriage that she is not willing to fix with you then there is no other solution but to divorce IF god gives you a sign to make that decision. Remember you can’t rely on your heart says in Proverbs 28:26. You saying that your children are more important than your wife you are mistaken. In the bible a marriage represents a union and if it is broken the household is broken. That is why you have to rely on God on ALL things including your marriage despite the circumstances. I am not saying it’s your fault for your marriage problems but also you’re not finding solutions neither getting help from God who is the helper of all living things says His word. I really hope you’re relying on God’s wisdom and strength for we are NOTHING without the Lord. May God be with you and your family in this difficult time🤍

Believe me I can completely understand how you feel, but what you're doing is wrong, and God will never affirm it. My wife and I have not had sex for over 8 months, and now she wants me to leave, but I know if I allow my emotion to control me that's it I am done. Please for sake of your family stop and repent. If nothing changes divorce her.

I don't know what her reasons are and I don't know if there is a way to make her like something she doesn't. However there is something you can do about your desires. The answer is in Matthew ch 5: "..If your right eye causes you to stumble, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell. And if your right hand causes you to stumble, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to go into hell..." In your case it is the sexual organs that can cause you to stumble (cheat on your wife), but luckily for you, you won't have to go to such extremes since there are certain medications that reduce sexual desires, so go see a doctor and tell him about your situation. I'm sure he can prescribe you what you need.

@@kimberlycastillo8578he only started having relations outside of the home because his wife refused. Is he wrong? Yes. But this is why God looks at the heart. Instead of our actions. The direct cause of him going to other women was his wife refusing intimacy with him. She’s the problem and the word says not to withhold sex from each other. If he divorced he God understands.

If she keeps denying you then divorce her. YOU are the victim. You are not wrong. And God understands why you committed adultery. Ask for forgiveness and move on brother. If your wife dosent want intimacy then leave, you only get one life. Don’t spend it being with a woman who dosent want you and is only using you for what you can provide her.

Yes mine doesn't touch or kiss me..even sex happens if i get close to him .he almost never makes the first move.i guess he never loved me since the day we got married.i have been making the first move😢😢😢
