Its called divine judgement , whilst we dwell in this temporal world all of those people have the opoportunity to repent from their sins and accept Jesus the Christ as their one and only Lord n Savior. Jesus came back from death and set the example for all those who abide in him

Im sorry, I fully appreciate your explanation but yout spirit goes directly to our Lord n Savior for judgement. Where everyone will stand before him and be judged immediately, there is no purgatory either as its not even mentioned in thr bible. The dead in Christ will upon his coming in a glorified body in Christ.

Judgement happens in the resurrection not on the day of one's death.

I know , and believe you go directly to judgement , how do I know this ? I lost my son 8 months ago in a car accident and the Lord spoke to me that next morning , no im not insane and no not wishful thinking. My son was born again in Christ and he let me know he had my boy.

Thank you for your very good question. This is a topic that many people often ask about. The Bible teaches that when we die, our spirit will immediately be with the Lord. Paul writes in 2 Corinthians 5:8, "We are confident, I say, and would prefer to be away from the body and at home with the Lord." This shows that when we leave our physical body, we will immediately be in the presence of the Lord. However, the resurrection of the body that occurs at Jesus' return is to provide us with a new and glorified body. In 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17, Paul writes, "For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever." So, although our spirit is with the Lord after death, the resurrection of the body will happen at Jesus' return to give us an eternal and glorified body. On other I need help with ,if Jesus atoning sacrifice with his blood for forgiveness of our sin ,why is it necessary to or how areany sins covered turning one from sin ? I came out of LDS,JW,SDA I have much to work through. I cried out to God asking if he is there kill me ,I had enough of my evil life . But he didn't and I have gone through so many false teachers . Being an only child single mom no sibling I haven't had much if any direction. I'm now in a unevenly yokedarriage that is very difficult no church to call home .I can't give up because life is a gift of God I have to see through . So much more but this is just a glimpse. Can the Dead Actually Come Back and Visit us? by Lorraine Day, M.D. Also there are many verse in the bible that show the death is a 'sleep'. Like this one from Ecclesiastes 9: 5-6: "5 The living at least know they will die, but the dead know nothing. They have no further reward, nor are they remembered. 6 Whatever they did in their lifetime-loving, hating, envying-is all long gone. They no longer play a part in anything here on earth."

I think that believers fall into a soul sleep while the body returns to the dust and decays. ❤.

If what you say is True, and it isn’t. Explain if we cease to exist, how was it that Elijah and Moses appeared with Jesus? Both talking with HIM? We don’t ever cease to exist, even those who Enter into HELL. We become Immortal for Eternity. Either in Heaven or Hell. This body goes in the ground, but the True you will continue to exist. In a Spiritual Form. We don’t know what that body will be, and when JESUS RETURNS that Spiritual body will reunite with that body that has decomposed and become one here on the New Earth. With Heaven as its Capital City ( New Jerusalem) Amen 🙏

@@keithallen52 The actual persons of Moses and Elijah did NOT appear with Jesus at Matthew 17, for both had been dead for a long time (see Deut 34:5), but had you read verse 9 closely, whereby it says: "As they were descending from the mountain, Jesus commanded them: “Tell the VISION to no one until the Son of man is raised up from the dead", you would have realized that it was a "vision" of Moses and Elijah being with Jesus, and NOT literally Moses and Elijah, for verses 7 and 8 says that "then Jesus came near, and touching them, he said: “Get up. Have no fear." When they looked up, they saw NO ONE but Jesus himself."(Note: the vision was looked so real that Peter asked Jesus if he should "erect three tents" for them, Mark 9:5) And a person ceases to exist upon death, for Jehovah God told Adam after his rebellion in the garden of Eden: "Because you listened to your wife’s voice and ate from the tree concerning which I gave you this command, ‘You must not eat from it,’ cursed is the ground on your account.......In the sweat of your face you will eat bread until you (die and) return to the ground, for out of it you were taken. For dust (or elements of the earth) you are and to dust you will RETURN (decaying back into the ground).”(Gen 3:17, 19) At Genesis 2:16, 17, Adam was told: "From every tree of the garden you may eat to satisfaction. But as for the tree of the knowledge of good and bad, you must not eat from it, for in the day you eat from it you will certainly die (and NOT continue on living in another "world").” So, Adam knew that if he disobeyed the command to "not eat from the tree of knowledge of good and bad", then he would die, ceasing to exist as he was before he was created, for Adam did not exist before "Jehovah God went on to form man from the dust of the ground."(Gen 2:7) And at Genesis 3:22, Jehovah said that if Adam were to "put his hand out and take fruit also from the tree of life and eat and live forever", then this shows that only eating from the tree of life could a person live forever, while NOT eating from it means that a person, once dead, and unless resurrected, have ceased to exist forever. A person comes on "the scene" at birth, existing only while alive, and then leaving "the scene" when they die.(see Ecc 1:4, in which it says that "a generation (of people) is going, and a generation (of people) is coming", replacing the previous generation that died, who in turn, is replaced by the next generation of people when they die) At Revelation 22:1-3, it says that "he (an angel) showed me a (symbolic) river of water of life, clear as crystal, flowing out from the throne of God and of the Lamb down the middle of its main street. On both sides of the river were (symbolic) trees of life producing 12 crops of fruit, yielding their fruit each month." "And the leaves of the trees were for the healing of the nations. And there will no longer be any curse (of sin). But the throne of God and of the Lamb will be in the city, and his slaves will offer him sacred service." So, only those who symbolically "eat" from "the tree of life" lives forever, by being obedient to Jehovah God through his Son, Jesus Christ, as Jesus said to Nicodemus: "For God loved the world so much that he gave his only-begotten Son, so that everyone exercising faith ("exercising faith", Greek pisteuo eis, meaning "faith in motion") in him might not be destroyed ("destroyed", Greek apollumi, meaning "to destroy fully") but have everlasting life" (John 3:16), while everyone else is dead forever, and NOT "tormented in a fiery hell". Thus, at 2 Thessalonians 1:6-9, the apostle Paul wrote: "This takes into account that it is righteous on God’s part to repay tribulation to those who make tribulation for you (or Jehovah's loyal servants). But you who suffer tribulation will be given relief along with us at the revelation of the Lord Jesus from heaven with his powerful angels in a flaming fire (at Armageddon, Rev 16:14, 16)," "as he brings vengeance on those who do not know God and those who do not obey the good news about our Lord Jesus. At Matthew 10:28, Jesus makes this clear: "And do not become fearful of those who kill the body (who we are now in our present fleshly body) but cannot kill the soul (who we are as a person that can be recreated with a new body); rather, fear him who can destroy ("destroy", Greek apollumi, meaning "to destroy fully") both soul and body (or the entire person) in Ge·henʹna ("Gehenna, Greek geenna, meaning "everlasting destruction")." Here is what the Bible accurately teaches about the soul, that it is NOT something that God placed within man, but the soul is us with all our desires, for at Genesis 2:7, it says according to the King James Bible: "And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became (or is and not possesses) a living soul ("living soul", Hebrew chay nephesh)." So, only upon Adam breathing and coming to life did he "become a living soul", and in which before God "breathed into his nostrils the breath of life", Adam was a DEAD soul. How many understand what the word "soul" means, as in Hebrew ? The Hebrew word nephesh literally means "breather, a breathing creature", so that everything that breathes and therefore alive are "living souls", including the animals, birds, fish, insects, arachnids, bacteria, etc. and found 757 times in the Bible. Thus, the soul is anything that breathes, and is NOT immortal, for when a person stops breathing, they die, so that "the soul dies", as Ezekiel 18:4 expresses: "Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die."(King James Bible) At Deuteronomy 12:20, the King James Bible reads: "When the Lord thy God shall enlarge thy border, as he hath promised thee, and thou shalt say, I will eat flesh, because thy soul longeth to eat flesh; thou mayest eat flesh, whatsoever thy soul lusteth after", so the "soul" is that which "longeth to eat flesh" or meat, or us a person. At Leviticus 23:30, the King James Bible reads: "And whatsoever soul it be that doeth any work in that same day, the same soul (or person) will I destroy from among his people", explaining that any "soul" or person who does any work on the Day of Atonement was to be destroyed. At Jeremiah 2:34, the King James Bible reads: "Also in thy skirts (or of Jerusalem that is likened to an unscrupulous woman, see Jer 2:2, 19) is found the blood of the souls of the poor innocents: I have not found it by secret search, but upon all these", showing that the soul has blood. At Acts 3:23, the apostle Peter, while at the temple, tells the Jews, according to the King James Bible: "And it shall come to pass, that every soul (or person), which will not hear that prophet (Jesus Christ), shall be destroyed ("destroyed", Greek exolothreuo, meaning "to root out and destroy completely") from among the people", so that the soul or us as a person can be destroyed. Hence, there is NO "immortal soul", but rather the soul is us as a "breather", a living person, that dies when we quit breathing (see James 5:20, KJV), and can be destroyed, totally erased from among mankind, in which if a "soul" is placed in gehenna, they will never "see the light of day" again.(Note: the meaning of gehenna as everlasting destruction is also seen as the symbolic "lake of fire" at Rev 20:14, 15, as "everlasting destruction" at 2 Thess 1:9 as the King James Bible reads, as the "everlasting fire" at Matthew 25:41, as the King James Bible reads, where Satan and his demons are to be thrown into, being destroyed)
