Finally someone with some sense talking about chelsea. It’s not always fake/toxic positivity and it’s not the ideal situation. i think the obvious answer here is that they have a sale for Sterling to be announced soon, so they cannot play him while the sale is in progress. Deal more than likely already done!

Media making a big thing out of this.... He hasn't been anywhere near good enough for us since he arrived. I understand TT sold him the dream and then got sacked a month or so after signing him and the situation the club has been in since is awful. But when you are the highest paid player at a club, one of the most experienced players and we know the ability he has. A panic buy when they took over chelsea 3 weeks into transfer window, without sporting directors and scouts in place with 6 players left as contracts couldn't be re negotiated due to gov ban

This is all about money. Sterling earned 300K a week, and that does not fit the model our new owners have. He's also 29 years of age. He's simply not the profile. Same with Chillwell. They're good players on their day, but they find themselves at the wrong club, with new owners bringing in new ideas.
