The original rainbow flag represented inclusivity, since it has all the colors of the visible light spectrum. So it represented everyone, regardless of identity. Now it just represents a bunch of different identities, including non-existent ones, because people need attention and have to make it about themselves. I am going to demand my own color since I identify as a quaternary protein structure.
Yes, thank you! People have forgotten that the rainbow literally represents diversity. Think back to Jessie Jackson's "Rainbow Coalition" since it included people of all colors and backgrounds. @@Uarehere Just FYI the rainbow coalition name was co-opted by Jesse Jackson but was founded by Fred Hampton, who wanted a cross-racial class-centric people's movement (as opposed to a black-centric movement), which united people instead of dividing them based on identity. That is why Fred Hampton was murdered. The owners of this country want division and identity politics are a great way to keep people divided.

Tim is actually right and there is historical precedent for it. It is that midwest German farmer workhorse mentality. And it is actually the stable base for this country. It is why our politics can be bonkers because of the same workhorse mentality. We gave it to the Japanese and they stopped having children and are jumping out of windows. And on average we still work more per year than they do. It is why we pretty much think the rest of the planet is lazy, but the truth is we are insane. As a gay man I don't know what the pride flag, or pride itself, means anymore. I understand the history behind it but now a days it's a total mess. TF a naked man, or if he's pretending to be a woman, got to do with the struggles we've overcame? 😒

It's so funny they thought they were fighting to be acknowledged in society for whatever reason (they never needed to be) and now they're being crowded out of their own ridiculous pretend civil rights bs by people that are even more annoying, unpleasant, and genuinely insane than them. Was it worth it, gay people? Was being able to be a degenerate in public and get married (which they don't even do by the way) worth it? This is what’s called “Design by Committee”. It’s what people who work in design dread the most. And of course that happens to be the case here. So they made the weeding ring simbol for intersex and they put it in front of the ear to symbolise that's what you're supposed to hear now I guess. White means peace, purple is a high frequency colour, blue represents the infinite, black represents time/death. The rest I won't bother to add for free, in this current climate I feel in danger if I even add more to this.
The pride flag should be kept simple as people globally recognize it 🏳️🌈 They shouldn't be allowed to make alterations on behalf of an entire community.
I think the rainbow was enough to convey everything. I thought trans was already apart of the gay pride flag but they need 3 more colors? Also what does race have to do with any of this? Just seems like now they are adding any social political issue just to have new colors. Why not add colors for abortion and immigrants too? Fuck it.
When i was young i remember thinking that gay people just wanted to be treated like everyone else. They wanted respect and to be allowed to live their lives like everyone else. That seemed like a noble goal to work towards. What happened to that?
