INTRODUCTION TO THE BOOK OF MORMON
The Book of Mormon is a volume of holy scripture comparable to the Bible. It is a record of God’s dealings with ancient inhabitants of the Americas and contains the fulness of the everlasting gospel.
We invite all men everywhere to read the Book of Mormon, to ponder in their hearts the message it contains, and then to ask God, the Eternal Father, in the name of Christ if the book is true. Those who pursue this course and ask in faith will gain a testimony of its truth and divinity by the power of the Holy Ghost. (See Moroni 10:3-5.)

Thank you for this video. I felt the Spirit throughout. The peacefulness while the birds were chirping reminded me of the first verse of the hymn, Joseph's First Prayer, which reads Oh, how lovely was the morning! Radiant beamed the sun above. Bees were humming, sweet birds singing, Music ringing thru the grove, When within the shady woodland Joseph sought the God of love, When within the shady woodland Joseph sought the God of love. As I ponder on the significance of what transpired here, some key lessons come to mind. Joseph learned the true nature of Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ as separate glorified beings. Joseph learned the power of scripture, especially about James 1:5, which led him to pray in the grove. This vision marked the beginning of The Restoration of the Church of Jesus Christ, along with the restoration of the priesthood, ordinances, and covenants, which are necessary for this great and marvelous work in the latter days, the Gathering of Isreal and the Restoration of the 10 tribes.

The Sacred Grove is a very special place. This grove of trees is located on the Smith in Palmyra, New York and was a place of meditation and prayer. Lucy Mack Smith, Joseph Smith's mother, would often go there to pray. This is where Joseph Smith prayed to know which of all the churches was true. He was then visited by God the Father and His Son Jesus Christ.
