I heard what he said on Jesse Waters Fox News interview and he’s not against EV’s if that’s what you want to buy, but he’s not going to ram it down somebody’s purchase decision who doesn’t want one. If EV can’t catch on by their own merits, then they won’t expand, but if they do catch on, on their own then they will. He’s just not gonna dictate that you must buy an electric vehicle because we’re never gonna build an ice vehicle again after a certain period of time. There are cases where it is absolutely not a good fit. It’s not that it’s not a good technology, but it’s better suited for some use cases than others. There’s no question that it’s quicker and there’s no question that it’s cleaner in the end-users case. There’s also is no question that if you’ve gotta make a very long road trip that it will add hours to your drive. This doesn’t make them a bad choice, but because they’re not superior in every measure and cheaper by every measure, he couldn’t force this. Actually if they were, he wouldn’t have to force them. OEM’s will have meet ever tighter emissions standards and will have to do much better to get there which includes no emission EV’s to bring down the fleet average. Clearly the infrastructure is five years behind current adoption rates. What should be mandatory is a 80amp beaker on a 100A capable line run in every new home with a NEMA 14/50 outlet to begin with. At least then the best way to charge an EV on an EVSE at 40A would be readily available. Apartments and condos should be made to offer by regulation one parking slot for every four that has 240V available so owners/renters can rotate the availability of that slot with four other households. You scan your QR code to turn on the outlet and the power used with no markup will be added to the electricity used in your unit on one bill or separately if needed. This will go a long way for adoption.
Hi Alex, I want to answer a question you've had for a long time. Why do Tesla fanboys cheer for Tesla to do well financially? Why do they care? To answer this question I would point to the owners of Fisker Ocean, which is a beautiful vehicle. Fisker going out of business is a big problem for those owners, they will struggle getting parts, software support, plus the immense depreciation of the vehicle. The relationship between car owner and vehicle manufacturer is not over once you drive off the lot, which is why you want the company to stay in business. I didn't get to say it during the stream: When I buy anything, I really only look at quality and price. From silverware to real estate, it's quality and price that I care the most about. I'm able to mentally separate product from people. I don't care what the CEO or top brass says or does so much.

@@EforElectric you need to look deeper on him. It's understandable that someone out of state doesn't know what's happening here, because it doesn't get national attention. He plays by the same dictator playbook. He has systematically installed loyalists into institutional positions throughout the state. Regardless of political leanings, he is doing something more dangerous: concentrating power and removing local control. He's a fascist in-training. I'm a centrist that leans slightly left.
Let me start by saying that I am surely not as well informed as you are , you even mention this when talking about how some people are disrespectful in their comments but please allow me to give my 2 cents on this electric car story 1st: the notion that electric cars will save the environment is total hog wash...the extraction, the processing, the recycling, the strain placed on the electrical grid all lead to the same if not possibly even higher pollution rates. 2nd: the incapacity of said electrical grid to keep up with the demands that would be placed where we all to go electric is simply too costly....too overwhelming that it again mitigates any possible benefits. 3rd government have plenty of ways to force you ,us, to go electric, one just has to see what happened during COVID where you "had " to have the vaccination else you couldn't even go to work, go shopping, go to a restaurant. 4th when you say a governments job is to protect our air....our water....all of that are Platonic notions in a fictional perfect world. They for the most part don't care about the peoples wellbeing, they have their own agendas and just this point alone would give a podcast of it's own. Finally I view electric car ownership as a fashion statement.....it's like a look at me .....I own a Tesla. Lastly great channel!
With respect, you don't understand economics. Open markets, including to foreigners, is good for everyone. The US trades financial assets and real estate, along with software and media, for Chinese manufactured goods. You act as if there aren't two sides of the trade ledger. Thailand is far poorer and the US, precisely due to the kinds of protectionist policies you say you like.
