I love how inexpensive Japanese vending machines are (even when they're double the price you'd pay in store). You can imagine my surprise moving back to Australia and drinks in vending machines go for $4 or more
Loved the water and vending machine tour/ reviews. So interesting to “see” other things besides food and rides. Would love to see a bin tour, sign tour, lighting tour, menu tour, window display tour, garden tour, hanging pots tour, wall art tour, food hut tours, etc. keep up the great work. Love your videos. 🥰
Thank you! This made me happy to hear. I wanted to try something different other than eating the seasonal menus, which I have done for years now. Thank you for watching, Bianca!
Thanks Chris! I LOVE ❤ ALL of your vids. I’m dying for a TDR Explorer Merch video. No one does merch like you. So fun, funny, and relaxing. Plus, I love seeing all of the cute new character stuff I’d love to buy.✌🏼
Thank you for this and covering Suica a bit - more on IC cards and where can be / not be used in parks please! Loved not having a pocket full of change by end of holiday!!
Thank you for watching, Antony. You can use SUICA to pay for almost everything (food carts, shops, etc) except the gachapon machines and some vending machines (as you saw)
It's interesting to see vending machines in Disneyland. I knew Japan had a lot of vending machines (some pretty strange ones, too) and this is how I leaned Disneyland have their own versions. The drink with the lychee looks good. I like lychee. Vending.
The line moves quick. I ended up doing it when it was at a 60 min wait and the entire thing took about 45 mins. The wait times used to be much higher when it first opened (even with restrictions). Thank you for watching!
My favorite VENDING machines had to be Baymax or the Tea Pots. Too cute!! I really want to try the Kirin Lemon. I love fizzy lemonade and that might be right up my alley! We have a big Japanese grocery here in Seattle. I'll have to check there and see if they have it.
@@tdrexplorer so!! I went to Uwajima's and they had it! I also got the Kirin melon cream soda. The lemon pretty much just tasted like Sprite or 7-up, so that was fine, but I REALLY like the melon cream! If you married honeydew with cream soda - TADA! YUMMY! Thank you for setting me off on a grocery hunt. I ended up with other snacks, too! 😊👍
Thank you for making these videos! I enjoy watching your tour of the restaurants, popcorn, rides, merch, and vending machines! Could you make a tour of Disneyland during the winter months for someone who's looking to visit in 2023/2024?
Oh this is great- love all the themes on the vending machines, and I love the themed bottles! I would not be able to recycle those- I'd have to find a way to ship them all back to Calif! 😀 Oh, and "yes" on the video of "every ride at Disney Sea as that's my favorite (bucket list) park!
Cutest review of the vending machines ever - brings new light to the park. Your t-shirt so cute, too. Love ur chuckles - so happy. Thank you for taking the time n giving so many tips!!!! Can't wait til I get to the park again. Luv the purring cat n those vending machines are the BEST!
Vending machine with Mochi😍🥰 I love big hero 6. If I get the change I would ride that one first. Doing all the rides in disney sea would be a very good idea.
Vending! 😁 Everything looks so perfect for these vending machines. 😍 I would love to try the lemon. 😋 Thanks for sharing some of your wisdom with us. ☺️
This video just makes me miss when I could use my octopus card anywhere in Hong Kong :( great video though! I wanna go check out all the vending machines now lol
I loved watching this. Firstly the price is excellent, secondly the price is the same for all drinks. Also the little titbits are super helpful. Suica card has been of interest, since we first thought of going to Japan. Knowing it's available on Android is really good. The hint about red and blue in the VENDING machines will come in handy, since we will be there Oct/Nov. Is the reason you don't have Diet Coke, because your Coke products have less sugar than other countries, or because of the fake sugar they put in it? Apparently not all cokes are made equal. I can't stand the Coke in Australia, it has a weird taste, that leaves a horrible coating on my tongue. The Coke in Switzerland is really nice, lower in sugar and a very smooth taste.
First time I saw vending machines at Tokyo Disneyland I wasn’t very impressed. I thought it was something that other Japanese places would do and were beneath Disney. But have to say that I’m impressed They have made efforts to disguise them and the park exclusive packaging in some products is fun.
Holy shit that line for Beauty and the Beast is insane! Here I thought the line for Tower of Terror was bad at Disneyworld or the Harry Potter rides at Universal but my god, I haven't seen a line that bad since the Fletchers corn dog line at the State Fair here in Texas.
Is aquarius not available in Canada/the US? I never knew that! Here in Spain, doctors advise you to drink it when you're sick to your stomach --I guess it gives you a little energy during those days when you can't eat much.
Japan doesn’t have a big soda drinking culture. And, yes, sugar free sodas are rare. But they do exist. They have Coke Zero and you’ll see things like Melon Zero. Basically look for カロリーゼロ (calorie zero) or 無糖 (mutoh, which means no sugar) on the bottle. Sugar substitutes at coffee shops may be hard to find, so I recommend bringing some from home. For cold drinks, you could buy some lakanto s (ラカント S) liquid, which they sell in a squeeze bottle. As a word of warning, really look for that calorie zero or no sugar wording. We have flavored water in the states, but they’re almost always zero calories. Not so in Japan. That peach water might look good, but it has sugar. Even drinks that are touted as being healthy often have sugar.
Do season passes not exist in Tokyo Disney? The price of the drinks was also surprising. That would easily be at least 4.50 us for each drink in Disney world.
I wonder why that is. Maybe they found that people aren't interested in getting canned coffee or could be a safety thing (not sure what) kinda like no glass bottles?
Silly question from someone who's never been to Japan and who's English is a bit rusty in some aspects: Wouldn't you call a sweet carbonated drink with lemon in it a lemonade? Like what differs a Lemon Kirin to for example a Sprite? In a bit of a similar subject:Is a soda athe same as fizzy water or does soda stand for every drink that's carbonated? In regards to those vending machines, they look neat and Japan has a bunch of them. The system with that Suika card seems quite practical if you can use it for a majority of things. EDIT: You mentioned your Iphone. That reminds me: Is in Japan Android rather unpopular by any chance? I always see that stores in Japan somehow only ever offer products for Iphone. Like if you look for a cute phone case, places like Pokémon Center and pretty much every other place seem solely offer Iphone specific products.
As a native English speaker from the USA, lemonade is not carbonated. I guess you could call a Lemon Kirin a "sparkling lemonade" if you wanted to make it sound fancy, but lemonades are typically pale yellow in color with a bit of cloudiness. As for "soda" I would say all sodas are carbonated and sweet, but not all carbonated drinks are soda. (Beer, champagne, carbonated water, and kombucha are a few examples of carbonated drinks that would not be called soda)
@@luxetlex Oh, that's something. At my place at least, Fanta often is considered lemonade. Same with Sprite. And all such drinks are carbonated. I never even heard of non-carbonated lemonade so far. People usually complain when their lemonade isn't fizzy.
I'll add to what's already been put here! It depends where you're from. What I can tell in Canada (where I'm from) and the US lemonade is the same where it's a sour flat drink. Sprite is both lemon and lime, where Kirin Lemon is just lemon, so I wouldn't say it's sprite. Soda is usually carbonated sweet drinks (including diet drinks). I wouldn't typically call it soda, but I said that here thinking it would be easier to understand? I would usually say "pop" instead of "soda" for carbonated drinks, which is a regional word. I don't know the facts about Android but I know that iPhone is quite popular.
It's kind of funny, I wonder why Japan doesn't seem to like to support Bank cards or Credit Cards. Something I never really got (or really looked into... and obviously you can use them online, but even online they got options for cash cards)
