The IC can handle 0.8A. Must be the breakout-board that makes the problem?? If you search for a H-bridge for this motors, you'll always find the bigger one.
nenioc187 when I was powering my l9110 using 7.5V one of motors was spinning regardless of l9110 channel input voltage. So I considered it to be burned or damaged. Then I tried powering it with 5V and it works fine. Additionally I added 2200uF capacitor on it's power rails. Thx for advice
