I've actually almost drowned, when i was little and from what i remember its not really painful it just feels like your out of breath from swallowing all that water and you start becoming more unconscious so i'm sure there are worst ways to die

when I found Claire on my own I fell in LOVE and knew I had stumbled upon a beautiful human being, but right after I discovered her I realised I was too late and she had passed... that was soul crushing and even though I had barely discovered her, it was so heart breaking.. i still think of her to this day, she's truly left an impact in my heart ~

I know the burst of energy stage. When my stepdad was dying he had a burst of energy and was ok, talking to me, and genuinely acted like he was like, gonna go home that day. My mom, after I left, told me what that means and I couldn't take it. He passed the next morning with the love of his life by his side.

It depends on how you fall on water. If you straight up belly flop from a tall height, yeah you’re dead. If you drop while standing straight up with your hands crossed across your chest you won’t die. It all depends on how you fall

The final burst of energy is very real and heartbreaking at the time, but so comforting after that person is gone. The morning of the day my mom passed away, I was heading to school and for the first time in weeks she was sitting up in bed. She hugged me, told me she loved me, and to have a good day. I was so happy that she even knew who I was that day. By that evening, she was gone. It gives me more closure knowing that I got to say I love you and hug her goodbye. 💜

it's because when you sleep your heartbeat slows down but sometimes it slows down too much so your body jults you awake and the best way is by making it feel like you're falling

My dad passed away a few months ago through failure of medication. That made me terrified to die but at the viewing I hugged him and it just looked like he was sleeping. That sounds really sad and sweet, my great grandmother, she might've been my great great grandmother but thate not the point. Before she died, she told my grandmother that she saw four little girls, one tall brown haired girl with blue eyes, a short brown haired girl with blue eyes. A tall blonde girl with blue eyes, and a short girl with blonde hair and blue eyes. I am tall with brown hair and blue eyes, my little sister looks exactly the same but is short. My cousins both have blonde hair and blue eyes except one is taller than the other. Conspiracy theory? Bc we weren't born at the time.

I lost my grandpa a year again to cancer and on my grandmas birthday my cousin said she walked in my room and saw him smiling looking at my brother who was asleep. I believe in ghost also I think they are able to communicate with us once and they choose when . My mom always told me that when we die we are just roaming around until the work comes to an end and judgment day begins

My grandma died the exact same way. We watched it happen & it was so unbelievable… Sadly for us her burst of energy only lasted a few minutes, and we gathered around her, and my mom told her she could let go if she was in pain... & she made a sad groan while looking at my mom and then she passed .. right in that moment. It was so incredibly heart wrenching to witness. But it was also a blessing to be able to say goodbye one last time. She was comatose two full days before she passed. You were very spot on in this !!

Oh my gosh. So my grandma was in the stage of Death. It was extremely sad, but listen. She was religious, not super religious but she liked to sing church songs. So literally, the monitor beeped, as in saying she's dead. We all were frozen. We watched a doctor run in, and the doctor touched my grandma's wrist and she PULLED HERSELF BACK UP. WTH?! She just looked around and, she knew everyone. At first, she didnt know anybody. She was having regular conversations and she started singing a church song. Then, she lays back down, and her arms began to turn purple. Her legs were shaking and she just gave out. She legit came back to sing church songs just to pass again. I have no explanation.

sayjackavery I think thats a beautiful story. She was'nt alone (even if we cant see the ones that surround them doesnt mean there is nobody, Im sure if she was a grandma she had a lot of people waiting for her over there ;) ) and especially singing is always a sign of feeling home and comforted. I lost my mum in december to cancer, she died In my arms- there is nothing scarier and more traumatizing to us than the way our dying loved ones act, the noises they make and so on, but I really think for them its not scary or bad at all. They're just moving on to another place and leave their "cocoon" behind. Im not religious at all but I think its true, we all meet again somewhere else after we die.

people who are going to kill themselves often have similar signs even though they're technically not dying. for example a week before my brother killed himself he was happy and talkative out of nowhere instead of moody and depressed like he usually was. we thought he was finally coming back to us. a few days later he was dead. be wary of a sudden burst of energy in an alive, but suicidal, person as well.

My condolences for your loss, really. My friend also committed suicide and the anniversary just passed. I think that in a suicidal person, a burst of energy is them realizing that after being hurt so much they can make it stop by... ending their life. It makes them happy to know that in a day or an hour they won't have to deal with the world anymore.

It'll feel the same as before you were born. You'll feel nothing. You didn't worry about it before you were born because you didn't exist. Life has gone on for billions of years and you felt nothing because you were nothing. It'll be the same when you pass. No consciousness, no thoughts, no feelings. I almost drowned when I was younger it was horrifying but because of how panicked I was it's hard to even remember what the drowning felt like. I couldn't swim and I was pushed into a pool on holiday by some kid and left to drown. I just remember going under and trying to swim back to the top then eventually realising it was no good and just giving up and at that point my mum was near the pool talking to her friend and saw me and jumped in and saved my life. I think the scariest part about it was knowing what was happening and having absolutely no control over the situation just accepting you're about to die.

That is so odd, it’s always killed me inside that my great nan who I was the sole carer for passed early hours of the morning after I’d spent time with until late in the evening. She was in the best state she’d been in so long, she remembered my name, her skin and eyes were so bright she was telling me how much she loved me then I got a call from the hospital that her blood pressure was dropping rapidly and to get to the hospital. When my grandma was alive, she always said that she heard her dead husband walking around the house. A year later she was found dead, and her fridge was cleaned out like she knew she was dying. It's been 3 years since she died, I still miss her.

I almost drowned when I was younger, I was struggling until I got to the bottom of the lake and then I looked up and what i saw was beyond beautiful. I saw the sunlight hitting the water and the little waves flowing and for about a minute I forgot I had to breath. As soon as I snapped out of it I realized that I should probably jump up so I did and my sister got me and took me to my mom. I have learned how to swim very well since then haha. Rip to all who have died and your grandmother 🙏🏻
