Hope... in my opinion.... the most “evil thing” in Pandora’s box. Thank you James for posting your interview with Stephen. Profound thoughts, questions and replies. Just discovered his work this week and will be going to see the movie Grief Walker. Have witnessed the painful disaster of western medicine first hand and one wise death of a friend; who refused to delay her death. Brilliant. Subscribed to your channel. 🙏🏼🌹
I have a concern about how the effects of television, movies, computers and cell phones have had on our consciousness and how those influences will effect us during the process of dying. Especially with the amount of unwanted subliminal content that has been put into our minds. I once heard someone ask something to the effect of, "If it's true that our life flashes before our eyes when we die, how much of that time will be filled with me having to re-watch reruns of reruns of television programming ?"

If I knew I was going to die a debilitating and painful death I'd choose euthanasia. Why suffer like that when I don't have to? Even though this life was given to me (whether or not I asked for it) at the end of the day it's my choice whether I live or die. Also I don't believe that choosing to die takes away any meaning that your death will have. Death is still death no matter how it comes about.
I hear you, mate. There is nothing wrong with not wanting to suffer. Although I disagree with you about death just being death no matter how we go about it. I believe death and dying to be in our culture, death is not just death the way sex is not just sex, not only is it deeply cultural, but how we go about it has an impact on the living to those who are with us when it happens, which will then influence their dying as well and so on. But for sure, like he says and like both you and I are likely both wrapped up in, our culture tells us death is oblivion and if that's the case than what does it matter? Oblivion is oblivion no matter how it comes about. (also, late-night commenting, hopefully this makes sense to a wakeful mind)
