I'm Japanese born and raised in Japan. I'm fairly confident these guys are either Westerners of Asian descent or at least raised in the West or elsewhere for a large part of their lives. Please do me a favour and bother to make that point clear if that's really the case, as there's a huge cultural difference(s) between Asians in their home countries and immigrant Asians. Make no mistake, I'm not trying to advocate some sort of cultural purism at all (I'm like the exact opposite to that), but I just want to point out they're quite different, probably more often than you might expect.

It's would be nice to seeing everyone rep having Spanish side PR, DR, Cuba while others have British Jamaica, French Haiti, Dutch Aruba, Indian, or Chinese cultures and so much more like US/British Virgin Islands. Indonesia, Timor-Leste, Malaysia, Brunei and the Philippines have very close ties in history in them. Same as Vietnam, China, Korea and Japan. I think Dating Beyond Borders should make a video about what they admire in each others countries and those that they find rude and offensive. Start off with the negative then do the positive that compensate the actions. We have to remember that we each have our own etiquette and ways of doing certain things, so, what may be considered right in one country can be considered rude or offensive in another.

It's not the national anthem lol It's actually one of the biggest hits in the history of the Japanese music scene, "Sekai ni hitotsu dake no hana" (rough translation: a flower like no other in the world). It's from back in 2003 but we all sing it in preschool and elementary school. The message about not having to be anyone else, to fight and compete bc everyone is special enough from day one really resonated with a society where kids are pitted against one another from elementary school for grades and success, only to be overworked and depressed "like cattle" (sorry cows!) in adulthood. It's a huge relief when you're living under this immense stress and someone comes and says, it's alright to be proud of who you are and happy with what you have because you are enough.

Well thats actually true, my Korean classmates told me that most of the teenagers in korea almost 80% of the populations undergone cosmetic plastic surgery and even young children around 13-15 yrs old can have a plastic surgery especially their eyelid and their skin first, and when they turn 17+ they undergo for rhinoplasty and their jaw line. And they also said that most of the students ask this to their parents for a gift when they got a reward, be on top, or graduated and they also use cosmetics/make up. Not only girls but also boys and other genders. Well what do we expect, South Korea is the “Plastic Surgery Capital of the World”, which is cool because as you can see there are too many talented surgeons there, unlike the plastic surgery in the UK or US.

@Erin Mo Since the island was Japanese for a long time, Taiwanese are also very Japanese in many ways: bow culture, respect, order, cleanliness etc. which are not strongly present in mainland China. Hence, Taiwanese people are NOT just southern Han Chinese people. DNA is not enough to tell on people's culture. So you Chinese people need to learn some facts :) And by the way, a lot of Taiwanese are glad that Taiwan had been Japanese for a time, since it brought prosperity and order to a back then poor and agriculture-orientend island, which Chinese rule unfortunatelly totally neglected.
@kismetau
@kismetau 4 года назад
Erin Mo You calling Taiwanese the same as Chinese is like saying Australian and American people are British. Due to differing influences and environments, people do evolve and create new identities over hundreds or thousands of years. Maybe they share DNA but their thought processes could vary widely. Even over generations, our thinking can differ from our parents.
