The black part on the spinning top's top is a magnet being attractive to the larger donut magnet at bottom while also being repelled from the larger donut magnet above. The spinning top is basically in the center of a magnetic field of both attraction and repulsion able to float like planets do.

2 axially polarized magnets, create one large axially polarized magnet. Meaning in between them becomes a larger counter rotating electric current flow area. From the north pole to south pole the electric current spirals counterclockwise

And if you'd switch them then you'd have the Earth and the Moon. Same thing, just on a different scale. Of course we can't forget our friend Mr. Sun. 🙃
