@@sandyshay8518 it’s not speaking for the housewives lol plus She’s a housewife she can speak on it That’s what she said is true you like the fight because there was love their out some plain
@@JeremiahWalton Just look around you. Everybody naturally gravitates to people of same race / ethnicity; because there are unspoken understandings and things that don't need to be explained. It's nature.
I agree with Eva. When there's a group of only black people, we don't hear, "Where are the hispanics?? Asians??" etc. Just let people have their friends and have it be that.
Hannah Walmer people do actually say that, ALL the time. the point she was making wasn’t just about black people, it was about “organic friend groups”.
I agree with Eva. If this is a reality show (based on real life) why throw in other races if that's not their real life or friendship circle. Birds of a feather flock together. We all know or should know that other races exist and the real world is a diverse place without relying on an episode of Housewives to tell us that 😳
It's also to be a fly in the wall of what different friend groups with different cultures are like..both personally and professionally. It's interesting.
This conversation reminded of what Ellen Pompeo has said, that we're constantly demanding for representation and diversity on the media or workplace but are we also doing the same in our personal and social live. It so too, and it got me thinking a lot about my own life.
I honestly didn’t think Garcelle would fit in Only because I feel she’s too classy but now that I think about it she might add a new energy and might become the HBIC... I personally think she might become a new fan favorite....so I guess we’ll see what happens when the new season of Beverly Hills airs
Funny thing normally famous people who get on these shoes have a sense of entitlement we will have to see I wonder who’s friend she actually was I assume rinna Kyle or Denise
@@ertfgghhhh nothing fake about Garcelle, never has been. She carries herself with dignity and class all the time and she has her entire 30 year career. If u can't recognize class that's a YOU issue hun.
Yes Eva! "It's not always about being able to fight, you appreciate the fight because there was love there at one point” sidenote: now she is not "one of us" though. When the stuff hit the fan, Kim knew she was a white woman.
@ron Kandi came in through Kim, since she was helping with the Tardy single. Phaedra came in through Kandi, since they were friends for 17 years before the show. Porsha and Kenya do have dubious origins. I heard on another youtube video saying that Kenya came through Nene, since they both knew Omarosa.
Eva needs to have a permanent seat at this table! She isn’t scared to speak her mind if she doesn’t agree with the others. I think she will keep this show grounded. The real needs Eva on the real! With her on the show it doesn’t keep topics one sided.
L D this is the comment I was looking for !!! She’s vocal respectfully and isn’t trying to force herself to be heard. She is very intelligent when she speaks ..... I really like her!
Organic friend groups are important. I don't want to see a another show that only includes ethnic people because they feel forced to. It just feels awkward.
I agree I like Eva the best. I don’t dig, Tisha, Monica, Amanda (seems so angry), or any other women... But, I like the 4 they have the best. However I think bring in someone younger. Someone who’s not settled, but smart and free
My family is from Guinea (in West Africa), and most of my friends throughout my childhood have been second generation African and Carribean immigrants rather than Black Americans. It's not like I'd walk into a room and desperately try to find them. I would just end up starting a conversation with someone, and they'd be like "My family's from ". And we could relate on most things growing up in Black immigrant families. So I do think that people naturally gravitate towards people who share similar culture.
We all - or should I say - most of us - went to school, university, college together. We work etc together. What about your neighbourhood?? It amazes me when I see grown women and their friends are all black, all white, Hispanic, Asian etc. Does that mean when in these settings - they only had tunnel vision for their own? America may be different because I once heard Jeannie say even in prisons - the same ethnic groups sit together The UK is different. We may have our problems - but - I thank God that on the whole - in comparison to most of Europe and the rest of the world - most of the races get on well and mixed marriages are at its highest (except for groups who stick to their own - because of religious and cultural reasons and therefore have arranged marriages - even with that - many of the young are running away - wanting to freely love someone of their own choice) I never understand when people say they gravitate towards people from the same culture. I gravitate towards character - and whether we get on or not. If my friends and I sat in a room - it would be like the United Nations here on earth or what I call - an insight of heaven. Anyway - each to their own Sorry should have explained - I am British - black African 🤗🇬🇧🇳🇬

God's Child I’m so sorry for my late reply ❤️ Yes yes 100%, I could not agree with you more!!! I have never cared about ‘sticking’ with only albanians, I care about character and if we vibe and such, as you wrote ❤️❤️❤️
SidneeSpeaks what she meant is that Kim can handle her own, which she did. Kim never let anyone come at her. Remember when she read the hell out of Kenya? She didn’t mean anything bad by it. In my humble opinion.
Kim fit in well with the black cast. I mean she was Nene's BFF on the show for a while. That's what eva is referencing. Kim didn't seem out of place dispite being the only white woman
I like Eva keep her instead of Amanda , Amanda is so set with her point of view and isn’t willing to see the other side to things sometimes and Off putting
What Jeannie said is the truth! Always complaining about integration. Look at your own life first! Btw I’m currently looking for some Caucasian friends ☺️
Right, it's more that not as many folks have close friends group with different ethnicities and cultures. I do, but I don't see that reflected in media much.
Why is it that every time there's a guest host some people think they should have a permanent seat at the table? I think having that seat open for different guests broadens the type/level of discussions that occurs. I think the idea of the show is to be as diverse as possible by having guests of different ethnicities and different walks of life to do what Eva did in this episode by giving a different perspective on the house wives' franchise.
I don't think it's a bad thing when people hang out with people who are similar to them, it just makes you feel at home in a sense especially when you belong to a minority
ANTM Cycle 3 made me an Eva fan... she’s professional but she speaks her mind. She has a wonderful personality for TV, I’d love to see her as your 5th cohost!
Excuse me In Miami everyone hangs out with everyone. I’m Cuban and I have white, asian, Indian, black, all types of friends from all walks of lives religions etc I think miami is a great example of how well cultures mix together. We’re so well infused Down here. Any restaurant offers dishes from more than one country and go to any club and You’ll hear all types of jams unless it’s a club that typically only plays a certain genre . Just wanted to correct that
These shows are organic in their casting, you can always tell when someone just got popped in, like Eva said they don’t last cus don’t nobody want to hang out with a stranger. In the real world people tend to hang out with others who look like them & tbh that’s not always a bad thing.
Before I went to college my friend group was diverse from black, white, latino, and asian. Attending a P.W.I. I noticed people flocked to people of their own race/ethnic group because it was more comfortable and you had more in common with them.
Several commentators here saying they gravitate towards their own I never understand when people say they gravitate towards their culture. This was a healthy discussion. Racism and segregation has caused us to become tunnel vision. Every where we look now ppl talking about inclusivity like dang everything don't have to be everywhere and I can say that boldly without any shade
I have read comments here - people criticising Loni for suggesting having friends from different backgrounds - Why is that such a surprise? I agree with Loni I also do agree with Eva though - what makes these shows work is that it is about friends falling out Going back to the different race issue - I agree with Loni. After all - We all - or should I say - most of us - went to school, university, college together. We work etc together. What about your neighbourhood?? Loni---RHOM wasn't canceled "real quick" it was on for 4 seasons and now back and better than ever. That's how much that show was loved. And everyone forgets RHOC started with one of the main women being Peruvian and she was a hit.
Miami did not work because the cast was not all "Latinas" it was mixed cast....you had Americans, you had Russian, you had Brazilians, you had that girl from Chicago married to the basketball player...(forgot her name) you had Cuban....so it was a mixed and them girls did not get along as much.
It's not about pulling people up from the air We all went to school, university, college together. We work etc together. @RonnyLamar KylesJr. - Awww....brilliant! I am so glad you responded. Thank you. The world is so mixed now - that it amazes me that people still hold separatist views. So glad to have heard from an American because I was left wondering if I was trying to project my British experience into America. So thank you, thank you, thank you - that my reality here in Britain does exist in the States. Thank God. God bless you and your wonderful partner. 🙏👍🤗❤️
I don’t know if i agree with Eva that you appreciate the fight because there was love there and an authentic relationship. Porsha and Kenya had NO relationship yet hated each other early only because they just didn’t hit it off. A lot of these shows cast new people who have no real history with the current cast, the only thing in common most of the time is race. Kinda sad. BUT with that said i gotta say the black franchises like housewives of Atlanta, Potomac and Married to medicine are the most entertaining to me so maybe producers feel like if it ain’t broke don’t fix it?
UniquelyMade but that’s when you have two friend groups but you never mix friends cause the outcome might be bad or good. Kenya and Porsha are friends today.
UniquelyMade okay. That’s still proving Eva right cause they would’ve never been friends had it not been for the real friendships of the other ladies on the show.
Graced with Beauty all that proves is that give anyone enough time and they will eventually come around and be friends at some point. Their turn around had nothing to do with their other mutual black friends, it was solely due to them having babies at the same time. To suggest the Atlanta girls only have black friend groups is stereotypical. Im sure they have white, asian and latina friendships that could easily blossom deeper on the show & probably a lot faster than Porsha and Kenya did. But like i said i enjoy the chemistry they have and i don’t think they need another female of a diff race right now i just don’t think it would be any different then the forced interactions they currently have with each other. You think NeNe would be hanging with any of them if not for a check?
Y'all want every new guest host to be perminant. Tamar was fired 3 years ago, if they wanted a replacement they would've done that by now. There's been alot of smart, we'll spoken guest hosts thats come on and fans has voiced for them to stay but obviously the producers hasn't made that happen. Even if they hired a new guest host, there will be a whole interview & meetings process. They're not just gonna hire someone cuz y'all want them to. Y'all really need to stop,
Kary Brittingham is Mexican and she’s on The Real Housewives of Dallas with an all white cast. Also Joyce Giraud was Puerto Rican and she was also on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
This is why I always say not everything is racism, I do understand it exists, but we just be careful how we think just because of unfortunate situations.
I think Eve should be a permanent host on The Real. She articulates her opinion well, and brings in new points. It no longer felt like there was one opinion on the table. Love her on here
Oh god these girls talking about broaden your friend groups to different races and getting on the housewives franchise for not being diverse meanwhile they never once had a white women on their own show 😴
Why did it take so long? At least there are two franchises with black housewives. There is not ONE Asian in any of the shows. Let's have some diversity and representation Bravo!
While the casts are segregated to a large extent, the difference is it's not intentional. sidenote: Unlike let's say the tv show friends where apparently no Black People existed in any capacity until 1 just showed up one day. Like Eva said it would make more sense because Garcelle has been in Hollywood for Years. (Now some say the people behind friends didn't have any Black people are on it, for such a long time, as to not set off clues that it was heavily based, if not wholely ripped off from Living Single. They didn't want people to start putting two and two together, but that's another story www.theodysseyonline.com/white-ripoff)
@@MrsHarder08 lol every Haitian I met identified as Black, but they would also tell people they are Haitian as well. I really wish people would start realizing that African Americans are not the only black people in this world.
