About IFRA compliance. I didn't have to change any of mine when I wanted to go professional. I thought they weren't compliant, but they already were. 😂 I suspect Manuel found the same thing. (LVMH 😂)
Glad you are back ..great to see you again. You're the only reviewers i find to be accurate and sophisticated in your descriptions. Thanks for the great video.
Fuck me, I'm so glad to see you both! ☺ Also glad to see you sharing the love for several of my forever favorites; Mousse Illuminee, Vol de Nuit and Mitsouko. I must try the Byzantine Amber!
Gents, it’s great to hear from you! Glad to know you’re both well. You’ve featured some favorites here and, as always, introduced some new fragrances to try. I’m glad to see Mouse Illuminne from Rogue Perfumery included. My recent purchases have been from Manny Cross. He’s a very talented artist and a nice guy who delivers great customer service. You should try some of his newer offerings, such as L’ Homme M. LaCroix, Targhee Forest, and Rostracto, possibly the rose fragrance Jo possibly trying to name. You’ll like them. Cheers!
I don't watch many fragrance videos these days, but watched all of this and loved it. So many great fragrances. As usual watching you guys costs me money 🙂Hope you aren't gone for so long next time. Cheers
keep them coming guys, cheers from Buenos Aires, nice to have you back! the second week of possessing my Chypre Mousse bottle, I decided to buy it after your video
Good to see you back guys & Joe exactly the same Shazam came to me at a dark time in my life and really helped me through it I now have 19 4160 Tuesdays offerings all 100ml but very much like you said so honest and fun
Thank God the boys are back! The Kings of Scent! The Saints of Smell! The Pharaohs of Funk!!!! I haven't bought anything new for months!!! Now I have 3 bottles to get due to your video!!!! 😂😂😂 Thank The Bejeezus that you're both well, happy and the Church looks amazing with the new lick of paint! Still enjoying my #Mousseillumnee too - looking fwd to the next video Gents! X #fragrance #perfume #vintage fragrance #olfactory ❤🎉❤🎉
It’s 10.30pm on Sunday the 10th of March and the gents are back. Was going to settle for a cup of tea but this deserves something a little stronger. Pina Colada?……anyway great to see you(haven’t even started the video)
a bit late on welcome back greetings but so happy to see you guys back. can't wait till you guys cover (and in the case of Des Cendres, re-cover) all the A+O nominees and honorable mentions
Ajmal is such an underrated house. You definitely should explore more of them. Their Purely Orient line has a few gems and, of course, Amir Two. Glad to see you back!
I have Purely Orient Incense. It's a good one. Amir Two is a great one. A bit of strong oud in the beginning but changes into something really great smelling a few minutes later. Hard to describe. Same presentation as Amir One.
Great to have you back! I love the long video as well, i'll happily listen to you talk about perfumes all day! I'd love to see a video on Masque Milano, I think you'd especially enjoy Romanza if you haven't tried it before.
I had no idea Americans were known for our over sentimentality! Now that I think about it, I see it. Here I was about to write two paragraphs gushing about how much I love you both, thereby living up to the stereotype 🥴 And so, I will simply say welcome back. It’s about time we saw more of you. 😌
I just found this channel and immediately subscribed. Absolutely wonderful. Please oh please consider doing an hours long video of women’s fragrance. Both vintage and new. I would be very interested to hear your thoughts. 🦋🌸
I am happy to see you back and hope you are both well. I am also very taken with Sleight of Fern (the perfumer by the way is Stéphanie Bakouche) and some other perfumes from Masque Milano. It is sad news about Alessandro Brun. Regarding what I have been wearing: perhaps my favorite perfumes of 2023 have been Odenaturae (Rubini), Rauque (Roberto Greco) and Pour Homme (Grauton). There have been a couple of other interesting releases, such as Corticchiato's Smoky Soul for Olfactive Studios. And Riso (from the Jijide brand) is just very much fun to wear. These are all perfumes I would wish to hear your opinion of. And Wicked John, I think, sounds a lot like a perfume in honour of Long John Silver. Have a good year!
Welcome back! You've been missed. You mentioned Flora & Fauna. That was my favorite of the discovery set and the first bottle of theirs I bought. It's one of my favorite chypres. Not sure why they discontinued it.
I love Mitsouko , Heritage, Aramis 900 and Azzaro Pour Homme. I have Vintage Aromatics Elixir too and its incredible! So glad you guys are back. By the way have you tried Loewe Esencia?
Amazing to have you back. And delighted to see that you hate the new Amouage releases so passionately hahaha. But apparently, Guidance has been their best and the fastest seller ever so I think their artistic fate is sealed. I wonder if Chong left because they were trying to force this new direction down his throat. Anyway, sad day for one of my most beloved brands! In the meantime, Chong is doing great work down at Thameen. Also, I was wondering if you will review any of the recent Areej Le Dore releases, including the one that was just released. Looking forward to many more videos! Happy sniffing!!
Just to clarify what happened as far as IFRA regulations and Rogue Perfumery are concerned, the quote below is directly from Manuel himself. I had asked him about what I had heard about him reformulating his fragrances to meet IFRA regulations. "Hi. This has been a major misunderstanding. A few years ago I sent my fragrances to a lab for analysis out of pure curiosity and it turned out that they were mostly within regulation. Much of my own misunderstanding was that I was previously unaware of what the regulation limits were; I just went about creating my fragrances. I mentioned this in some forum discussions and some folks took that info and read into it, thinking that it meant I had reformulated to meet regulations. Since then every time I try to clarify this nobody believes me. The thing is, I have no reason to reformulate because EU laws don’t apply to the US.
Also, I'd love to hear you grill the latest releases from Guerlain, especially the extrait line. And a tribute to Masque Milano sounds nice, there are alot of interesting fragrances worth mentioning from that house. I feel like they're one of the only few niche house that's interested on putting out unique/quality products.
Good to see you gentlemen. Well done video. And I want to reiterate your comment, "Fuck Me!!!" I've been wearing Vol De Nuit all winter and it knocks my socks off. It's so beautiful, full of florals and night air. Good all year round, yes. I've always thought that Hasu-no-Hana has similarities to VdN. Great choice of Aramis 900. A beautiful "men's" rose. You both always feature such excellent perfumes. Cheers!
Greetings Gents, I notice that you mentioned that Roja Parfums is overpriced. I was interested in acquiring Oceania from Roja parfums. Is there any alternative that you would recommend? If any one have a suggestions they are welcome!!
