After going through a nozzle a year for several years, I settled on a very simple one like the dramm 3 or so years ago and it's still going strong. It just doesn't have the second on/off lever so everything is controlled by twisting the end. But, it's simple, doesn't leak, etc. Might have to check out that dramm, thanks for the review.

This worked great with my Honda 2600 psi Pressure washer ru-vid.comUgkxfQauTxLT0JLSvqkq10rD79TU4k0Vz8zP , it came with two different size adapters, and tread tape so you're ready to go. I used it on my sidewalk that was getting dark and it worked great with no sprayer streaks. Just back and forth, really easy and way better than the spray adapters that came with my Pressure washer.

Harbor Freight has a garden hose nozzle for about $14 that has a 4 oz dispenser container integrated into it for car soap etc. It has a small knob that allows you to make micro adjustments up or down on the pressure of the spray and has about 8 or 9 spray settings. Mine has not leaked or dripped in the 2 years I’ve had it. It has been a surprisingly good nozzle that is very comfortable to use.

I picked up the Gilmore Heavy Duty thumb and think it's great after using it for a few months! No problems with leaking and I'd give it a B+. It's really well built, feels like it's high quality and sprays the jet stream far. I use these mainly for washing the car quickly (I'm probably the only person you'll see washing a car in sunny 30 degree weather), and always look for the Fan spray for water conservation and sheeting. As long as it's not dropped and is brought in from the cold weather, it'll probably last a really long time.

These products are like many other items today: cheaply made and cheaper to replace than repair. I have a sprinkler and nozzle from over 30yrs ago that still work excellent and everything I bought similar since has been junk compared to them. This is where the so called environmental activists need to focus their efforts. Products that end up in landfills a year or two after manufacturing, or where replacement parts are priced too high deterring repair. It’s an epidemic.

I get the brass nozzles like your Dramm in the video because of storage. When i remove the nozzle, I keep it next to my hose bibb, inserted on top of a scrap of pvc pipe i stuck in the ground. The brass nozzle is easy to clean if it gets clogged. The rubber o rings can be replaced. I buy multiple nozzles for my many hose bibbs, all the same brand, so i can keep the right o rings on hand. The nozzles dont get lost laying on the ground, because i know to put it in the pvc “holder”

One: When turning the turret to get different patterns, always turn it so you’re always tightening the center screw rather than loosening it causing a massive water to leak. Two: Always get as much brass as you can find! Especially the knob on the water adjuster screw. Inevitably somebody will throw it down on the ground and the plastic adjusting knob will break off making the nozzle a candidate for the trash can!

I bought one of the Fanhaos and a DRAMM. Used them for a couple of months and bought another Fanhao. The problem with the DRAMM is that if you want it off you have to manually turn the nozzle until it's off, which also changes the pattern as you do so. On the Fanhao (and the Gilmour Industrial for that matter) all you have to do is let go, and when you squeeze again it's at the same pattern you were using.

I still have my all aluminum mini fire hose nozzle I bought at a trade show over a decade ago. It needs a minimum 5/8" hose and 60+PSI to make the correct patterns. I have 3/4" and 5/8" hoses with 90PSI so it works awesome. Don't know what brand it is but I love it. I would like 2 more so hopefully I run into the guy at a show again 🤣 I see one at my local parts store that is a flexible plastic tube that has 3 ball bearings that constrict the tube to change the pattern looks kind of neat I would like to see that reviewed.

Thanks for doing this video, I have spent so much money I’m purchasing different ones just like you did here. I agree the Fanhoe is one of the better models with the pull handle rather than the back push handle. Maybe my expectations are too high, I expect these to last at least 3 to 4 years, that’s a lot of summers. I find the pull handles are the best, however now they are breaking because I drop them on the ground in between washing something. The brass simply just cracks.

Nothing beats the gilmour select a spray nozzle for the sole reason of the cone-jet-full setting. It works perfectly When watering flowers and shrubs for the landscaping profession without clicking back and forth between settings. Simply apply more pressure for a more streamline spray and less pressure for more of a shower. And it has all the other typical settings as a bonus. Available in plastic and and metal, 6.99 and 9.99 respectively at my local hardware store.

I notice you commented over and over again, that one or the other nozzle was made of metal. What I’ve found over the years, the type of metal is important. Brass is a gold standard, as it stronger than die cast and doesn’t corrode. The worst combo is cheap die cast or Aluminum, threaded onto aluminum hose ends. The two will corrode together and you won’t be able to get apart. I’m noticing a lot of new hose ends that are colored to look like brass but are not (you can tell by weight). Better to find actual brass! Also, better to find cast pieces than thin walled pieces. Not only does the cast last but stands up to being run over by a car tire and such.

What about Elay? Expensive but top quality for sure.

Another great video. I did something similar, I bought every one HD sold, kept the best, returned the rest. The one I landed on is 100% metal, with no leaks but most of the pattern settings are worthless.

Yeah for me settings are useless. Bought the $5 metal one. Doesn’t leak and does the job. 😎

DRAMM 4 Lyfe! Really tho, use the all brass for work in my shop and at home for watering, only draw back for me, if I leave it out in the sun haha. Grip the hose, a quick twist of the searing hot brass and a palm over the water cools that problem 👍

Hi Silver Cymbal, what quick connect do you recommend?

Eley. They are heavy and expensive. I use the standard tip the most since it can go jet and fan, which is all the modes I need anyways.

Nice video but really fed up with hose nozzles leaking and working poorly after one year so I bought an Eley. Best ever and easy to control. Took me 2 years to do it and i would have saved myself from all of the junk buys if i had done so sooner. Nothing really compares to it.

I have a few Dramm products. They are more expensive but they are extremely well built making them cheaper in the long run. The adjustability of their lawn sprinkler is the best on the market.

I’m a big fan of Gardena Products. I’ve gone through a couple of their entry level trigger nozzles and love them. They cost me about $15 Canadian

Hey man excellent explanation on hose nozzles 👍🏾👍🏾I have one off those ole school all brass nuzzles that operates by twisting the nozzle and lasting me for years and still have it til this day, just replaced the o-rings recently and it's good as new👍🏾

I went with the Fanho but with the rubber grip for comfort. All you really need is one nozzle that you can turn from a jet to a wider spray. Those big head multi spray nozzles will clog up & most patterns won't be used anyway.

Thank you this was very helpful! I have always had a hard time finding a hose nozzle I'm happy with, so this video was perfect. Going to get the Dramm

You are Killin it man with this content. Those damn sprayers I always curse with the water coming out from all over the place. Especially liked the review of the multi colored sprayer lol 😂

My favorite will always be the brass barrel nozzle with fine threads like the one you showed. There is one down-side to them however. You have to be careful not to drop them on concrete. They will only survive a few drops before they break, either the at the hose connector or the sealing port at the tip. As long as you lower the nozzle to the ground and drop the hose, they will last almost forever.

Tri-Con spray nozzel. I sold hundreds of them in the automotive business over the years. They last a very long time and can take abuse. That’s why service stations and shops like them so much.
