People on death row come to repentance We live in the spirit not the flesh God will still kill the majority in the end. Jesus does not change an unchanging God, himself being also God and in perfect union. All lives and deaths are under Gods control. But sets his followers free from the penalties of the law of Moses that he fulfilled. Murder or looking at someone with murder in the heart, is not the same as putting to death.

But there should not be any joy in it, that is unbiblical. It should be with sorrow.

@@mjhickson4339 Better read Matthew 5 again. Jesus absolutely made changes. And according to you God changed when He gave us a new covenant, because it contradicted the old covenant in many ways. You are in error. God does not change, but He can and has changed His laws, including the death penalty. Tell me why we don't stone disobedient children anymore or adulterers or blasphemers (or if you're a wise guy, why Jews don't). It is because Jesus abolished the death penalty in Matthew 5. Or do you know another reason?

There has to be a right and wrong otherwise nothing matters. You matter to God enough to tell you things you don’t want to hear. If you’re convinced you are good or bad, you are still using the metric of right and wrong, just on an individual basis. Everyone does. You can’t escape from right and wrong the question is who says, what is, and why? God maintains a standard of life for love and truth and goodness for all who will accept it. Culminating in Jesus example of self sacrifice for you and me. I hope you will consider again, it will set you free if you truly believe. But no one can convince you. I wish you all the best.
