@@thecomplexion7524 Carry a backpack and store a plastic bag inside of it for trash and then empty it when you get home or if you can find a bin somewhere to dispose of it.

The Japanese pay a premium for all that packaging, presentation and almost perfect fruits and vegetables. I rarely see wilted vegetables or bruised fruits in any of the supermarkets I've shopped in Japan during my visits. Maybe once, when I was in Kagoshima covered markets/shotengai. The greens had yellow edges, in a box outside the store and selling for 99 yen a bunch.

I came across tasty curry blocks in my Asian store was on sale but could never find it again i like it way better than Vermont curry! Have you tried making your own curry from scratch? I know it hits different than the blocks but it's still good. Hard to find the right curry powder for that!❤

Honest question, but what makes him think that everything in the refrigerator section is fresh and not previously frozen, put on the shelf to defrost as stock runs low, the way it is in the U.S.?

Maybe frozen natto you have to microwave to defrost first and fresh natto is still refrigerated at the shop but ready to eat? Like reheat if you want your food warm
