China never invested in Gwadar to benefit pakistan. It was built soley to a) Keep an eye on India in it's backyard, b) To ensure continuous oil supplies reach China in the event of India and US combining to choke Malacca Strait in case of a global conflict.

The whole purpose of Gwadar and the attendant road and railroad projects is to allow China to avoid the Malaya Barrier chokepoints in the event of conflict. The fact that is an economic loser is a problem for Pakistan. Effectively, Pakistan is paying for the privilege of building a port, railroad, etc. for the Chinese to ultimately own where almost all the construction funds flow back to China.

Chinese are not dumb. They bribed a few people at top and got lucrative deals. All the money given to Pakistan for Gwadar and other useless projects is high interest loans. All workers and equipment came from China . Chinese dumped all their OLD Power Plants onto Pakistan that only run on IMPORTED Coal and LNG signed 30 years agreement to buy electricity. A total of 46000 MW was installed while Pakistan transmission capacity is only 20000mw . so more than half of the capacity stays idle BUT pakistan still has to pay CAPACITY CHARGES . Chinese they sure know how to sign a good deal 😂🤣😅
The main reason is the strategic location of Chabahar port. The second reason is the connectivity to Europe and Russia and other countries in that region.

They know very well that the return of investment is unlikely to cover interest payments on the loans. Pakistan has restricted transit on all gates connected with Afghanistan. people affected from that are #Pashtoons . through these gates Pashtoon earns there bread but Pakistani authorities with no reason has halted that Pashtoon business .. furthermore Pakistan has implemented passport system on gates for Pashtoon people who resides both sides of the gate. against that policy Pashtoon in chaman district are on sit in for 9 months demanding Passport free system but the authorities pay no heed . this sit in were attacked a week before to make them conclude that sit in with out any result but Pashtoon failed them.. now i am requesting you please report this to the international media . that what is happening to Pashtoon people and there Business . please help us Palki sharma .
