Away on vacation until the 24th, 2 more videos to come out until then, and then regular videos will resume from the 26th onwards. I appreciate all your guys’ patience! ❤
Gotta admire a young man willing to post a video noting disappointment and failure (on the pitch), including admitting personal mistakes. Jack, you are still one of the best pros around and I can't wait to root for you next year, no matter where you end up. (I'm guessing when you made this video, the announcement about your free agency had not yet been decided, or at least public.). In the meantime, I can't wait to watch you grind again in ranked. Thank you for your time and effort on the pitch and making videos.
Bro how can you think that lol. They played the worst they have all year during the most important event. The team sucks and cracks immediately under pressure. Dude needs to stick to 1s
@@clorox9432 First team out at worlds. I litterally predicted it before it even started. They crack under pressure and if you can't see that you needa get your eyes checked.
@@rewstir6646 Nah FK is probably gone. chronic and lj are like 99% teaming cus they are best friends and jack is a content creator so valuable to the org. Also, firstkiller played the worst at worlds anyways tbh
@@yogiritaco fk is not getting kicked lol he is fk it doesn’t matter how bad he plays they’re not gonna kick him just because of how good he is when he’s in form they would be kinda stupid to let any other team get him
It’s one thing to analyze and learn from your mistakes but doing it in front of your audience to also learn from your mistakes takes another level of humbleness. Wishing you the best for next season
Incredible season from you and the lads Jack. Between balancing all the asks of GenG, being a pro, as well as the constant content... and just an overall good dude. You're a legend.
I see a lot of chronic hate - although warranted, I believe it’s more of a chemistry issue. If you look at the stats, he’s by quite a bit, the player with the most defensive contributions on Gen. G. The positions he’s left in a lot of the time; Chronic is often left as their defensive anchor, and gets left in poor positions to fight for his team, resulting in inevitable mistakes due to the consistent pressure on him. I think they need to sort out their team comp to make better use of how they play best. I think it’s unfair to pin the blame on chronic when he’s the most pressured on the team to be the anchor, because FK and jack are such aggressive players, and when they make mistakes or the other team outplays them, chronic has to do the dirty work.
Yeah i dont feel like chronic is to blame heavily. Sometimes hes a bit off but its mostly the fact that he had to change to a position hes not comfortable playing to accomodate for fk. When noly was on the team he looked much more free and subsequently looked a lot better
@@ad4latI agree. FK kind of replaced his role and now chronic has to be a player in a way that Noly was. Obviously you have to mold around a new player picked up but the playstyle change for Chronic just seems so drastic. GenG were known as the basically perfect team when they created that roster initially with jack, chronic, and noly, they each didn’t have the highest peak of pros but together, their chemistry was out of this world. They were basically playing perfect rocket league. I remember when Faze was still in the game and actually had Firstkiller and they were actually trying to get a similar play style to GenG just because of how well it worked and it was so well rounded. It’s a shame because I loved that GenG roster just cause of how easy and simple they made the game look, they had basically no faults and this is how IMO, how they won that Major. I know it may be debatable but I really think they should’ve kept Noly. Just keep perfecting that play style that got them the major win. I mean, even at that season at the world championship, they placed much better at the end. IMO, the teams that make it the longest and deepest into their run really have a unique play style that just makes teams awkward against them, it doesn’t strictly have to be defensive or offensive but it has to be dynamic. I mean you see teams like Falcons that have a very aggressive play style but can be very defensive when needed. Although they did lose to BDS unfortunately, they nearly reverse swept them.
Monkey moon always seems to peak at just the right time. He has tournaments where he bums out early and his team seems terrible, then he strolls into the world championship playing the best rocket league he's played all season. Almost as if he saves all his energy for worlds specifically.
While most players perform worse because of nerves, it fuels others to play better. Monkeymoon being on a roll twice in the same arena, on rival region territory is not a coincidence. When that man is on a mission, he will get it done.
@@renownriverspnw5314you like someone flashy like Joyo who never wins anything and can never get the job done. You can hit a flip reset goal but 50/50 in your net and a goal is a goal, and you deal with it. Monkey moon mastered the 50/50 and being faster than his opponents. He’s just that kind of player. He’s the goat because of this boring playstyle. Squishy didn’t have a boring playstyle but there’s a reason turbo and kaydop were leagues ahead of him in that generation
28:45 he actually did get a touch. You can see the ball trail turn orange. The touch just didn't change the trajectory of the ball very much because it was a skim.
@@ad4lat the ball changes direction after the touch. slightly but it changes, he touched the ball. People just don't want to admit a pro made a mistake
whether he 'skimmed' it or not the goal was to hit a booming shot into the corner to prevent a direct center. Whether he just barely touched it or missed it entirely, it still would of gone in front of the goal
so glad you cleared people blamed chronic chrome and fk to have no team synergy , they dont understand sometimes you have a bad lan , all great teams have done that even BDS, Blaming FK for team downfall and hate he is getting is so unacceptable
Of course he's going to not blame his team mates. Lol what is he supposed to do? Chrome was a huge problem. They did not adjust at all when the were down. They didn't change game play at all. Watch the BDS game where they were up 2-0 and just let up 4 goals in like no time. That's coaching and lack of leadership. Chronic was awful, that style doesn't fit him. Fk is selfish af and that's why he always gets worse as the year goes on. Jack made a bunch of mistakes too but he at least looked engaged.
@@siddharthsingh-hs3yv while i agree with your sentiment even if jack felt that way he would never say it openly because 1) thats not professionals at all. This sort of thing should stay in private. 2) thats the worst thing to do cause it destroy the teams morals and has a 50% to create conflicts.
@@grisaia3150 while that maybe true and i agree to that idk about chrome but you cant deny fk looked way happy in gen g while he looked in faze , we watched comms video and all documentary released this season you can see Firstkiller and chronic looked way mature with jack especially since this was not one man team i have never seen fk play that good with a team especially in saudi lan chronic did more solo plays than fk and jack was scoring goals left and right with fk passes , jack did some good solo plays as well , this was not fk one man show as he did with rogue and faze imo they should stick together
@@siddharthsingh-hs3yv i didnt see much how fk looked like in faze but from the rare video i did look at i agree with you. I believe that his father not being a nuisance for the teams might have helped that lol. But idk man, geng was sold as na second superteam, and they underperformed really hard for their status. We will see if they stick together or not
whatever you do jack, take care of the friendships youve made, try not to lose sight of them. you an slater have such amazing chemistry and seperation would hurt me as ive gotten invested.
I know you felt disappointed in your performance, however you were by far the best player on your team during worlds. It sucks to see you guys not be able to put it together in the end, but we are still proud of you❤️. It sucks to see that the Gen.G era is most likely coming to a close, but i still hope to see you stick in NA since you are one of my favorite players to watch. No matter where you end up you will always have our support and we hope to see you one day a world champion!❤️❤️❤️
holy cow i forgot g2 made every grand final in the season! that's insane, the only team to do that for this season. def gotta crown bds for best team in the world right now, but g2 was def the best team this season without a doubt. It was still a great season for you all! Maybe not the outcome you were hoping for, but you had better results than a ton of other teams. I know you set high expectations for yourselves, but when you look back, it’s definitely something to be proud of. I’ll always be rooting for you. Enjoy your vacation, and see you next year!
Jack I'll be honest I was surprised at the result. Been a fan for a long time and watched a lot of RLCS and you could just tell you guys weren't gelling well. It's important to recognize your faults and things you personally could have done better, but it was clear to me that FK was lost all tournament. This isn't an attack on him, he's obviously one of, if not the most, talented players in NA but for this particular tournament he seemed to be in no man's land, cutting rotation, poor positioning, poor communication (it would appear such as calling for a fake late). I thought you personally played pretty well, but the team dynamics are obviously shot given you're all looking for other opportunities now. Wish you luck on your next stop wherever that leads you, you are still at the top in my book and excited to see you succeed in the future.
I don't think Jack will leave GenG because he's kinda like their figurehead like an MM or a Zen or a Vati but if he does he'll probably go back to EU cos there seems to actually be good English speaking European pros now. Namely Oxygen
Completely agree, FK is a great player but since the announcement he'd be joining GenG I was worried about their future. I obviously don't know Jack and FK on a personal level, but from what I could see of their public personalities I felt they wouldn't mesh well. I still have a comment up on that announcement video expressing my concerns. I hate being right, but after the abysmal season I'm excited to see where Jack will go from here. I'm a Jack fan not a GenG, so where ever he goes I'll continue to cheer him on. Hope he stays in NA though, I don't really follow EU, but I'd understand if he wants to go back home.
I agree. AppJack was playing and carrying his team. I think they need to work on their teamwork if they want to continue as a team. I feel like they didn’t have any strats, plans, or communication and all 3 were individually trying to make it work and that’s why they lost to teams with better teamwork; who can set off each other and rotate. FK was definitely a weaker part of the team as he had no presence and Chronic just feels like he has no confidence (the hesitations)
No part of me believes that jack’s career is even close to being over, but I think he will make a great coach one day. Far in the future. Still love watching him compete.
@@_papasparta_-txc-4730 dunno about that. Mobula qualifying by stealing that SSA spot doesnt sit right with me at all. I could never chear for a team that was so bad they had to change regions just to have a shot. Thats the most coward move ever. If all or at least 2/3 player changed their nationality or moved there i wouldnt mind but they dont even do that. The only thing where i agree with you is that limitless are a waste of a spot compared to eu 5 seed but now we got last chance next season so i dont have much complaint about it anymore
@@grisaia3150 its why its useless to have an SSA spot these days, since its just gonna be a european team anyway. May as well send the 5th best team in that case.
I was fortunate enough to get to attend worlds this year! It was great to get to see the Team playing in person. Unfortunate ending for sure, but you are the person who brought me to GenG to begin with! I will probably be an AppJack fan for quite some time. Love the overall personality and attitude! Not to mention the great gameplay. Good Luck in finding a new team that may suite you better!
My opinion is that we can see why GenG was so good last season. The chemistry. The team plays. The almost "role" like positioning. Players playing to their strength. FK is obviously an amazing player, but I thought it was an odd pick up, considering the teammates and the playstyle before picking him up. Clearly an offensive focused team now (the opposite of the defensive OG esports, an example of another team with raw talent that did enough to make worlds, but not strong enough to go far). I think to be an elite team with consistency, you need high offense AND high defense ceilings and players. A mechanical wizard that can make a play at any time, a brick wall that will help keep clean sheets, and a classic midfielder with all around skills. Of course RL is not that simple, but most of the top teams have that role based ideology. NA needs more defender based players. I feel like the best ones are Daniel, Atomic, and Mist. The reason G2 is so strong for example is the defense they have with Daniel and Atomic, alongside the wizard that is Beastmode. But GGs, looking forward to next season
Bro! You're such an awesome guy! Humble and I can tell that you're a kind dude. You will win one of these soon! And I would be lucky to meet you one day! Keep at it, my man!
Love and respect the honesty ❤ It was hard to watch as a fan, you could tell from the start the comms and confidence were off. Happens, onwards and upwards!
Best team in the world is such a tough question right now, but the answer just has to be BDS. G2 looked incredible on Sunday and played well the entire weekend, and if they played their peak rocket league I think they would have won the championship. But there's more to winning than how well you can play, your game has to be consistent. BDS were the more consistent and composed team in the end, and they did deserve the title. I think if BDS is #1 in the world, G2 has to be #1.5. Then after that it's every EU team lol
@@pingwinner_ Agreed, they did look shaky as well at times. But they did play a more solid match than G2, it looked like they only got more comfortable as the series went on
I was in the crowd cheering for you jack! Unfortunate what happened but 99.999% of people hating could never play at the level your team does. It’s on you to mentally come back and progress or not. Either way I look forward to watching you play this next season again!
Good to see you get back up after what must have been the most devastating tournament in your career. I'm sure there's lots of great things for you to come and I will be watching and rooting for you wherever you end up (just don't move to APAC or SSA to farm wins)
I'm lost for words Jack followed you from the start and always thought you would be a world champ shocked at that Team performance is a understament keep your chin up.
cant lie i been waiting to see this title pop up in my inbox😬. been a gen g fan for a minute now and sadly ill have to agree with some of the commentators that you guys don’t trust each other and if it were me, i would rebuild the team around you. you have so much potential snd did some amazing things for your team but clearly you guys as a team just have not been working well together.. not saying everything i have mentioned is correct, but it’s just my personal opinion and what i see on the pitch! wish you guys the best together or apart!
Still think you're the goat, bds just looked super consistent and trusted each other a lot. Better luck next season, appjack for next world champ calling it now
Jack! Been one of your subscribers since you were under 10k subs! Sorry you guys had a rough tourney. You’re still my favorite rl pro and I wish the absolute best for you next season. Much love
I mean BDS (MM) just always steps up when it matters, he made every worlds finals since joining and winning 2/3 (3/4 if you count ewc). Regional wins are cool and all, but in the end you gotta be there at the LANs
Its very impressive seeing you reflect on all aspects of your games. Ive never particularly liked fk as a player. He is absolutely talented but i do think teams with him on lose momentum and chemistry seems to be lost. Honey moon period was great, but overall i think you need to get a gelling player back in the team like nolly was. Either way you guys will bounce back and find a new flow state im sure!
I think Falcons can play on a level that has never been played before, the problem is that they can't keep that level for long, until a final or semifinal they are monsters, but when the most important moment come all that speed and pressure goes away. But yeah now we learned that we actually live in the age of Monkey Moon, not zen 😅
Watching back, it seems like they get impatient and want to close out the series. also they would've desroyed kc if they just didn't play defense after scoring 3-4 goals. i do believe it's only matter of time until mena win a major tho.
@@azzouz7873 I agree with you friend, everybody on top 8 had more experience on lans than Killeerz and RW9, I guess once they get used to it they might win RLCS, also there will be 1v1 next year so it's time for low ping RW9 to shine
Acknowledging your mistakes so you can learn from them is the most important thing in competition, maybe even in life. Never give up! I know you have so much more to give.
Super excited to see your next chapter. I better see you put out results in the 1v1! I was a GenG fan only because of you as a player and I’ll root for any team you’re on!
Exotic carried BDS so hard I don't think people give him enough credit, Monkey did quite a few sketchy things/mistakes the other two had to rescue. Drali is autisticly good, but seemed quite nervous compared to his normal playstyle. Wished Falcons won as RW9 is one of the best in the world, but I think he can't carry his brother to win a championship, although they work great together, one cannot help to think what if it was Nwpo or one of the new younger ones. TRK is an incredible player too, but he's much better in 2v2 and 1v1 I think. Would be cool if G2 won but that Atomik wiff literally hurt to see, will be difficult to forgive himself for that, Daniel and Beast played great as always
Agreed. Re: the best team for the season, I try to think of it statistically. Even if there's a 70% chance G2 wins that BDS matchup, 30% is a lot of opportunity for BDS to steal the dub. Doesn't necessarily mean BDS is the stronger team, just that they had a 30% kind of day. But G2's worst finish this season (including regionals) was a 3rd-4th at EWC. Their worst finish at any RLCS event was 2nd place. I would be surprised if there were a more dominant team over the course of a season in RL history.
You guys just dont synergize well. All very skilled players who just dont click together and thats it. I really hope you find a team where it will all come together!
Take this as you will, I know I’m just a RU-vid commenter with 6 months of RL academy coaching under my belt, but the entire event you guys looked so dead in your play and in your faces. It genuinely felt like the coach you had in split one did a better job of keeping you guys in the game and your heads level to make better decisions than Chrome did. Sure Chrome had more strats to run, but you guys went from challenging G2 every regional pretty much, to bowing out slowly but surely every event getting worse and worse once your mentals hit a block of any kind. I’d bet that if you 3 stuck together but got yourselves a heavily mental based coach, you guys would do phenomenal together and challenge for worlds for real. Not trying to say you guys have a mental you can’t fix, but between Chronic going ghost for a fair amount of worlds and Major 2, and FK and you having relatively poor performances in both events similarly, however much more exaggerated in worlds, you should seriously consider getting a mental coach that can help you guys keep your heads in the game, especially when those unintentional and unlucky goals go in. It’s something I try to hammer into my academy boys when I’m coaching them. Something I always say to them since they’re still learning is “a mistake you make is in the past, so leave it there and play the present.” It seems like a lot of pros nowadays have forgotten just because they’re pros, they’re still human and make mistakes, so they kill their mental basically telling themselves “fuck I shouldn’t be making that mistake” and by keeping their head in that space they can’t focus on the game right knocking more mistakes into their play. It seems like FK in particular falls heavily into that trap if I had to guess, especially with the way his facial expressions get when those unfortunate goals go in and he was anywhere close to the ball or challenge that caused that to happen. A lot of RL mental occurs subconsciously, meaning the player might not even know their play is being affected by a previous thought, but it can be rooted out by a good mental coach. Wish ya’ll the best of luck playing and apologies for the WALL of text to read should you take the time.

Thanks for making this video despite the disappointing results 😢
Hot take: FK is the reason for the teams he joins deteriorating, every single team he has joined since starting his career has almost been forced to play around him; or he gets angry and moves to the next team. There's a reason he's the only RLCS "Prodigy" that has not even come close to winning a world championship.
I know you said you don't look at social media comments, but I think you should. There will be haters and critics, but there are also a lot of love and support and fans that stand behind y'all. It was heartbreaking to see y'all get eliminated, but I still support y'all and can't wait to see you next season!! Enjoy your vacation and your fans will be here for you!
Agreed that G2 seemed like they were going to be the winners, they have had a lot of wins this season and great games. Sometimes it is just a millimeter of a difference that can win or lose a particular game. Was def rooting for you guys to go further and sad for you when you were not able to, but love the way you keep your head up as you have great character and should be a role model for the younger kids coming up in the ranks (even though you are pretty much a kid yourself 😄).
I could never understand being a football fan or watching any sports live at all. It seemed so boring to me, like why are you cheering for some random people you've don't even know? Why do you even care? I decided to watch this RLCS championship live for the first time and omg I was surprised that I finally understood what being a sports fan is all about. I've never had a favourite football club, I could never force myself to care about my national team because it felt so forced. But I was able to care for you guys because I chose Gen G. I chose you because you are fantastic human beings. I really admire how supportive, humble, nice and funny you guys are and I respect everything Gen G stands for. Even though you didn't win the championship it still was the best sports event of my life. I was shouting every time you scored, my heart rate was jumping to 150BPM every time the ball was flying towards our net, it was so stressful and exciting I stayed up all nights just to watch you. Next RLCS I'm buying the tickets, it was wonderful. Thank you guys from the bottom of my heart. We are winning the next one!
Jack I haven't even watched this yet but I'm 32 years old. Been through some shit, hit a LOT of low spots in my short time here. Chronic- I feel like does not have passion. He needs to find it. Can hear his innocence in his voice. Firstkiller- Seems to have lost interest. Never followed him until he joined you but, I can see it in his face, his gameplay, he's there because he ended up there. Jack - you want to be there. You seem to always step up when you need. Do what you wish with this info. I have no idea what's best for you. But don't see you winning with these two tm8s.
to explain FK, always overlooked carried his two previous teams and got blamed when he made one mistake and got CLOWNED for it. he can get salty but hes just amazing and determined to win worlds at least once.
Honestly I think the next big winners have to be furia. Took the 2 grand finals team to game 7 ot without really looking there best. I really hope they don’t split up could honestly be as if more dominant as g2 if they stick it out
Bad days happen, bad tournaments happen Nobody is immune to it. I'm happy to see that you have a healthy attitude towards the worlds performance. Best of luck, I'll always look forward to watching you compete!
The skill is there, the talent is there, the drive is there. It didn't go well this time, but I am more than sure that next time will not just be different, but you will be top 4!
beastmode seemed to me like the best player in the world but falcons and bds team synergy too good. will be rooting for you next season, hope to see you poppin off
Everybody will tell you to change up the team and if the chem is impossible switch. BUT if the chem can work with time between yall, the talent is unmatched
@@George-li1yv true, but it certainly looks likely that they'll be going their separate ways. I wonder if Jack joining SSG to give LJ some backup is an option. 2piece needs a better squad around him too, as does Scribbles. Gonna be interesting to see.
