I've always been a great fan of Amber Zaidi. So, I'm Shocked!! Very shocked. Furious even. Just two points: (a) some of these fools -- "iskolars" have got into their ignorant heads that women are "inferior" and meant to be "kept under control" (Qur'an: Surah An-Nisa 34, I think) and (b) when these "iskolars" realise that they are out of their depth, they ALWAYS and invariably (I've watched them with amusement and dismay!) start shouting and yelling (and hurling veiled threats and abuses) especially towards Muslim female participants. I've witnessed this happening about 95% or more in debates involving "iskolars" and sophisticated, smart, educated Muslim women). However, when the "opponent" is a male, such "iskolars" often create a drama and walk out. They may not be aware of it -- but to a dispassionate observer trying to learn from such debates, this is a common strategy of our "iskolars". I often watch such debates -- waiting to see when this sabotage strategy of the debate happens. I don't think this strategy is personal to or against any one smart, educated, sophisticated Muslim female: it's general and amusing in one sense, if you're watching the debate from 5000 miles away!! Every single time I know this will happen -- and I wait and wait till this happens!! So the moral of the above observation is: Please don't take it seriously. Don't lose any sleep on this. The days of such fools -- these loud-mouthed "iskolars" -- are certainly numbered -- in a secular Sanatani and progressive society. It shouldn't take too long now. 🙃🙃
