I believe it was done at the right time, but back then, there was a push to emphasize "Bharathiya Sanskriti" in every aspect. If you look at the 90s tv shows, India was more progressive in its thinking. However, after that period, India became more regressive in the types of shows they were producing and the dialogue they were trying to convey
Still to this day, AIB's old vids are relevant. It shows india wasn't ready for them at that time..and still isn't because now Tanmay went from dank to just laughing at normie memes
AIB was actually a different kind of a channel, like they talked about Bollywood stereotypes, Male gaze, Sexual discrimination, racism, capitalism, patriarchy, political tensions in a satirical way.... Like they were using Satire to spread social awareness and they were doing podcast much before podcast was a thing..... Agar AIB aaj agar hota toh they would have opened different doors of the internet.....
Their Honest series was peak, so much so that you can even watch them today and they are still good, I was hoping they would eventually return but from the current political climate I don't think its worth all the stress for them.

Aib definitely got cancelled for nothing, it was booming with success and flourishing but along with mahima ig indian audience is at the wrong as well, they r always quick to judge ppl and pound on the other person without hearing them out and after so many years this thing still happens..
@@sayandas3939 TVF's founder was also accused of sexual misconduct during me too and had to take a hiatus for a while. That's when they brought on Screen Patti on board and made content with them. They were just lucky that they had more people onboard who steadied the ship whereas AIB did not have the people to take care of company until everything calmed down.

Great Job on the Video. Brilliantly researched. This is the most comprehensive video about the AIB's downfall on youtube and/or internet. It is also a cautionary tale about movements on social media running without accountability. One of the many toxic sides of Social Networks.

Dude, I got to know the name of AIB, aka A!B, in 2016 _(but not the whole story)._ I started watching videos on RU-vid when I was 10. It was in 2007 when RU-vid started its partner program and monetised its platform through advertisements, and I started watching those videos -- however I wasn't even Immersed into RU-vid ecosystem back then and I saw mainly Bollywood movie clips and music videos, and TV and Multiplex was still mainstream at the time. Apart from RU-vid, Yahoo! and MSN were two websites popular at the time, and so was Rediff -- they were the internet startups and the latter is an Indian website while the remaining are from USA. I didn't mention Indiatimes because it's backed by Times of India group which is a legacy news company from India just like CNN, BBC, CNBC, NBC, DW, and PBS.

Everything aside why are Tanmay Bhat and Khamba not in touch with each other I mean we see Tanmay with OG Rohan, Ashish and kaneez frequently but never with Khamba
AIB was the original goat. I mean like youtube asking you to come on their platform is just an op achievement on its own. And then there are the biggest celebs who wanted to work with AIB. AIB should make a comeback. It will literally shake the cores of these new youtubers who are just filling up servers with useless content and controversies.
You missed on some more facts. West ko copy karne ke chakkar mein zyada cool dikhna chahte hein. They were trying to be feminist, progressive etc but ladki ne hi unke peeche bamboo mar diya. Bollywood kisiko promote kargei ek limit tak. Limit cross, they they will forcefully drag u down and ur business. And that sachin and lataji wala incident political motivated tha. There r more such facts. Had they banked on their career only, in stead of meddling into politics which bollywood was doing, to look cool, they still would hv prevailed.
I remember Tanmay telling a contestant in Comicstan, “Never make a joke on Sachin. I’m telling you with my personal experience.” Holocaust, Race and Sachin should be off-limits.
After studying the AIB's case in detail I realized how important it is to be careful in the hiring process (bringing people onboard) I suffered personally by hanging around with the people with shady characters.
No offense, but this channel's humour is too basic and tbh, childish, compared to AIB. Like you guys say you watched AIB and continue to do lamest jokes possible in your movie reviews/analytical videos. Please don't get me wrong, I am not a Hater at all. I like movies and love watching movie reviews the most. I enjoy 5ocial and Tried and Refused Productions or Film Companion Local movie reviews. Also, I don't want to sound cliche by saying 'AIB's content was way ahead of its time', but it is true. AIB did so many things which are fresh and relevant even today. So, reflect and improve your humour when you say you watched AIB or support AIB. Your unnecessarily flashy editing and loud jokes was what AIB used to do, in a sarcastic way. That's it, thank you.
On air with AIB was the show that made me interested in politics. And like me there are many other people who had similar experience. aib had brilliant and intelligent humor not the cheap comedythat you find in bollywood movies. If only aib were still running we would’ve gotten such great content.
