What happened to Anki Overdrive? 

Long story short. The made overdrive then moved their focus to Cozmo and vector. Eventually the lil ai pets became more popular and dropped their support. And eventually anki was changed to digital dream labs. They are remaking anki overdrive into infinidrive in the close future hopefully it comes back

Honestly I absolutely adored anki overdrive when I was ten, but even then I recognised many of its flaws. It makes me so happy that other people out there have yet to forget it, and that it's still getting a successor

Man I loved Anni overdrive, i got it for Christmas when i was a kid and got great memories with it. By far the biggest problem wasn’t the battery life but the missing traction of the cars. They just wouldn’t stay on the track and you’d spend most of the time putting them back on instead of playing. And if you played the campaign you could just win if you didn’t put the enemy’s vehicle on the road agin because they would just drive so fast they dropped off. If they fix that it would be an amazing game for little kids like I was. I also remember the big trucks they brought out. They were even faster for some reason with better weapons and their own overdrive mode. That didn’t help eather. In my opinion you would need to build in little low resolution leds or such to signal a Landmine or the lasers you shoot. And make the race track way more magnetic and maybe put magnets in the tires as well. I don’t want to see this game die out it has so much potential

Thanks so much for making this. Got a hugely overpriced set a few years back as a Christmas gift to fill some old childhood memories of their commercials, and they were garbage. Dead app, broken cars, barely working system, etc. etc. Had no idea what happened until I realized they must have abandoned ship or went bankrupt. At least there’s some new hope though!

dude i wish they didnt revert to 2.6, in the newest version (3.2) they changed it to where the weapons had thier own energy instead of draining from your health

I'm still hopeful on Infinidrive. I just bought the entire Fast and Furious set at the thrift store for $13 about an hour ago! lol Most of of cars have better battery life than others which is why I still look for them to play with them. But yeah, Thanks for the update!

I have the starter kit, always wanted the jump kit... so i made my own by using the bridge peice in the kit

In India it was like around 500 to 700 dollars💀💀

I still have mine and i was sad when it stopped working correctly for me. I also had another product of theirs called cosmo which also stopped working

For me I stopped playing with mine because of how easily it was for the cars to fly off the track. Once the cars got a little dust on the tires it was over for them.

People are now starting to buy used tracks cheaply, but instead of using the stock cars they use Turbo Racing 1/76 and LRDC 1/64 micro r/c cars.

DDL is mostly dead. Their support responses are copy pasted, and their servers are down for over a year now

On the bright side, the cars and track extensions are cheap as hell now

Didn't anki go bankrupt in 2021? I miss anki overdrive I still have them but the appstore app is gone due to them shutting down 😭😭😭
