Same thing usually happens to former steelers running backs and recievers, they play they're best under mike Tomlin then they get paid or traded somewhere else and aren't the same
idk the past few receivers for pit have all been the same, talented dudes who are just primadonna's. Pickens is falling victim to be another Claypool and AB. We love highlighting their good WRs they develop, but clearly they also clearly choose headcases a lot.
You're really good at explaining stuff. What a thorough video. As a dolphins fan, big thanks for clearing all this up for me. I could listen to you talk for hours, keep it up!
The Dolphins Mike McDaniel and Chris Grier have worked to develop a blocking WR/TE hybrid for a couple years now. Claypool checks those boxes (see his college and PIT rookie year tape). We shall see if the Dolphins can salvage him.
You are being too kind to Claypool. His attitude was becoming a problem in only his second year, most notably his ridiculous First Down celebration that cost Pittsburgh time, and at least one play, in a one score game. He also consistently wasted his size advantage by mistiming his jumps, and catching the ball with his body instead if his hands. This allowed defenders to win jump balls against him despite giving up seven or eight inches in height. I cannot speak to his actual work ethic, but those are issues that he never corrected, as evidenced by his big drop last week with Miami.
I love the videos Mike, thank you as always. Just wanted to say I started following you for the giants/yankees/nets content but these sorts of videos appeal to a wider audience and once they click your quality shines through. I want to see you grow so im glad you're doing things like this.
agree, my theory is this is all an act to get cut from the Bears rebuild he was traded to. watch him go to a contender and kick ass again @@commonsense3921
Well we know what happened now. Traded to the dolphins with a sixth round pick. And then return what did they get? A 7th round pick in 2025. Holy crap! They really wanted to get rid of him!
Imagine if playing with Josh turns him back into Mapletron. Kinda terrifying to think he could play great to earn his position, then he makes another important mistake down the line.
