I refuse to acknowledge anyone other than hhh hbk road dog Billy gunn xpac and China as members of dx..everyone else named in this video were just associates
Triple H appeared at a Sixers game with Joel Embiid to hype the crowd as DX. And the building was extremely hyped up and they knew exactly what DX is. That just further proves the legendary status of the group.
@@shakthiprksh its the song that Adam sings before he starts called: "What happened to that wrestler??.....". now we gotta start over...Norman Smiley, Earthquake....
Seeing the way Billy Gunn has evolved into a wrestler who knows exactly who he is, and is using that ludicrous level of charm and charisma to guide AEW talents makes my heart warm.
No Kane? I mean he was an "unofficial" member but when he was teaming with X-Pac he was a major part of the D-X angles and accompanied them to the ring and such. Hell, when he first spoke in WWE his words were "Suck it!" so you're not getting much more D-X than that.
@@mjstory1976 I'm aware of that. But he *was* directly involved in numerous angles with D-X and basically acted as the enforcer of the group. I mean the whole story at the time was Chyna and Triple H had turned on D-X and joined the Corporation and had turned on Kane who then teamed with X-Pac so had effectively switched sides. It's basically a case of he was a member in all but being "officially" sworn in.
@@jrsmith1998 Not Gonna Lie I Was Like “ Hold On ! Wats HE Doing Wit Them ?! “ I Wanted To Yell At The TV “ EITHER HE LEAVES DX OR I DO” Triple H Made The Right Decision & Sealed It Wit A Pedigree
The reason DX were in the end more successful than the NWO is that while there were plenty of champions in the group, they did not grow too big and they were not afraid to put other people over. The NWO grew too much and just suffocated WCW. Also, when we talk about the greatest talkers of all time, Road Dogg is sooooo underrated. He was great on the mic.
jtp2007 Other than RIC FLAIR the nWo was the ONLY thing that made WCW RELEVANT. THAT FACT was PROVEN when Jeff Jarrett went to WCW after holding UP poor Mr. McMahon. SERVED Jarrett RIGHT to get his ASS KICKED by Chyna.
Also towards the end of NWO's original lifespan it was a mess of back stage politicking and gatekeeping, with Nash hall and hogan basically killing any of the younger talents push
WCW lost the plot with the NWO. They were always supposed to be a band of rebels trying to take control of WCW and management handed them the keys because they were so popular (and WCW was fighting a ratings war with WWE).
I'd say NWO had a better start but DX had a better finish. NWO was spawned as an invasion angle that went popular- but out of control. It devolved into a booking gang that suffocated WCW until the end, something of a curse. DX was spawned from Bret Hart's shoot on Shawn Michaels and Triple H and while it never got the main-event pop that NWO had, DX won out through longevity and identity.
Oh boy, this is such an interesting topic for a video i always wondered what Triple H, Billy Gunn and Kane doing this days. Can you do one for every member of Evolution or Undisputed Era maybe?
well they would be short vids. Undisputed Era, Still all work for wwe in its Nxt brand Evolution: HHH: See DX Video. Randy Orton: still full time wrestler at wwe. Dave: Big time movie star. Ric Flair: retired, short stint in tna then returned to wwe as an ambassador and manager.
DX was the best stable with Michaels, HHH, Road Dogg, Chyna, Billy Gunn and X Pac.. You had to be alive in those days when these guys were making wrestling slapstick.
@@HyperActive7 Shotgun was filmed an hour before Raw went live and not aired until Saturday night. That's why it was mostly jobbers. By the time Smackdown came along DX was in it's form of HHH, X-Pac and the Outlaws. Chyna started doing her own thing and then Stephanie would join shortly after. That's how I remember it. So like I said the 6 of them were never together consecutively week after week. I only remember that one episode of Raw when HBK left the corporation and then he dissappeard after that for awhile.
You forgot to mention that Chyna was the first woman to enter the Royal Rumble match. She managed to eliminate a couple of guys before she herself got eliminated. How bad ass is that for ya?!
Adam mentioned Rick Rude as one of only three people who were both in DX and The NWO but didn't mention the others. The other two are pretty obvious though: Shawn Waltman (X-Pac and Syxx) and HBK.
My great grandmother used to baby sit Dylan (Hornswoggle) when he was a child. He's a /somewhat/ family friend I've met about three times. He's a wonderful guy and it's cool to have an association in away to DX haha
I Thought That This Was A Bout Every Member Of DX.......However, With That Being Said, What A Bout Jim The Anvil Neidhart, The Straight Edge CM Punk, The Broken Matt Hardy, The British Bulldog Davey Boy Smith, The Enigma Jeff Hardy, The King Of Hearts Owen Hart, & The Devil's Favourite Demon Kane. They Were All A Part Of DX At 1ne Point Or A Nother Whether It Was Just For 1ne Night To A Week To A Month And So On, They Were All A Member Of DX From DX's Be Ginning To End. Test, Val Venus, & R-Truth (Known As K-Kwik At The Time) Were All Selected To Be Members Of DX How Ever, Triple H Said NO. Go Figure! Heh. They Would Have All Made Great Members Of DX, Even The Undertaker Was Going To Be A Member But He Said No Due To Him Being So Overly Popular And Needed To Be A Strong Rivalry For DX, So Yeah.
This. Definitely my favorite version of DX full stop. Though Shawn was putting on excellent matches even after he came back. Obviously he was older; however, it was like he didn't miss a beat! So I can't totally sign off on that second part in terms of athletic ability. Character wise though? He didn't really have one when he came back. I guess at that point he was just Shawn Michaels with nothing to prove?
If D-generationX Came Back: Shawn Michaels: Himself Triple H: Himself Tori: Jacy Jayne Hornswoggle: Otis Rick Rude: Drew McIntyre Mike Tyson: Montez Ford Stephanie McMahon: Liv Morgan Billy Gunn: Pat Mcafee Road Dogg: Kevin Owens XPac: Himself Chyna: Rhea Ripley
I only liked Shawn Michael, HHH, Chyna, Badd Ass Billy Gunn, Road Dogg Jess James, and XPac. I use to love to hear their introduction and hear each one's name. I would practice it all the time. Road Dogg was my favorite. I just really liked them.
The Chyna Docu on Vice is a film about someone who unfortunately ended up with the wrong people. And wanted more than she was worth (money request in WWF/e) and the doc is painful to watch at the end. Let's just say the people in that doc should be in jail TORI just stood around and didn't do fuck all, Let's not forget that Chyna won the IC belt because Double J got paid $250k to lose the match and leave for WCW
Hey Adam. Have you ever considered changing up the intro song with different random wrestlers? Like, make it a regular thing? You’ve definitely got the creativity to do it and it would be a big hit with the fans. Whaddaya think?
what about honoree members Shane McMahon, Mankind, and Kane (Mankind and Kane were only including for a short bit to get titles but were betrayed right after the win as they were seen as "weak links" in the words of Triple H; Shane left after one of the many real life arguments with Vince caused to leave the company as he has done many times)
X-Pac had X-Pac heat with me from his debut. "Kevin Nash and Scott Hall would be right here with us if they weren't being held hostage by World Championship Wrestling, AND THAT'S A FACT ERIC BISCHOFF!" No they wouldn't. They aren't desperately trying to fight their way out of their cushy big-money contracts to go hang with their most disposable friend. Jesus. Pathetic right out of the gate.
Which was a dumb angle considering why they were in WCW in the first place. Imagine invading a promotion but getting captured and "held hostage" with a ton of money 😂
DX wouldn’t have got as over as they did in the late 90s if it wasn’t for The New Age Outlaws to be honest. The mid to late 00s group just didn’t have the same impact
