I hope they return cause I loved the map based factions, and it feels weird to see British SAS on a map that takes place in like America or Germany or something.
This aged like fine milk. There is no excuse as to why there are STILL no factions in the game. Its not like its THAT hard to just model the characters.
i am just so tired of games being released unfinished nowadays, i thought valve would be smart enough to take their time with counter strike considering its their biggest money maker and valve is known for waiting till things are actually done to release them but they didn't with cs2 which is just kind of crazy to me
I started playing CS:GO when it became CS2,before I played it i heard about the map based factions. When i loaded the game up for the first time I was like:"wher mab factiun?"
But why would they give us SAS then? They’re very detailed for these hitbox issues and whatnot, why not Seal Team 6 or GIGN, who are less detailed and with less random features like ammo pouches and so on Not a critic, just a comment
I felt like Valve chose to leave out factions first because they're going to revamp the models for all of them instead of having reused old CSGO faction models
Originally, Counter-Strike Condition Zero had map-based factions then it was developed by Gearbox But after the developer changed, the idea was dropped In Condition Zero: Deleted Scenes we can see different fractions in different missions
i really loved the voicelines for all of the factions, it just gave each faction some character. i really hope they add them back. question :what are people's favorite faction in the franchise, for me it would be anarchists on T side and for the CT's I would choose GSG9
It would be cool to have more default options, but I honestly think they're removed for marketability reasons. An arab terrorist faction vs IDF, it's clear to see why that would be an issue. Also, the FBI and leet crew models are new, so there is literally no reason why they would not be featured already, other than the one I mentioned.
I disagree. Elite crew still exists as purchasable content. The terrorist group that the seperatists are based on dispanded itself. If anything, the inclusion of controversial organisations increases revenue, since players will maybe buy a skin to avoid playing the faction they hate.
I wonder why there are no map specific factions? I know some that won't be back for sure (Separatists, the IDF and the Pirates) for the controversy behind them or just because Valve probably doesn't believe they belong in the game anymore. Sad honestly but times change.
I think that if Valve wanted to have some sort of universal models for all maps they would have picked something more ambigious rather than SAS who run around with Union Jack on their shoulders They will either scrap SAS and replace it with something less nation-specific (which is unlikely considering that they bothered to port the SAS model to Source 2 to begin with) or they are in the process of reintroducing the map-specific models
I get the IDF and Separatist because they are way too controversial to be ported to 2nd but what about Pirates. Does Valve just think that military ships escorting cargo ships just to look cool. Pirates are practically universal in countries with long coast line and weak government enforcement. Not adding them because controversy is laughable
@@quakethedoombringer The pirates fall into the "Valve doesn't believe they belong in the game anymore". They have pretty much been replaced by the guerrilla warfare faction and for valve it is probably easier r to go with their fictional faction even though it would be cool to have the pirates back.
They also removed the different variants even on the current default skins used to have variants but now it’s just one like I remember a terrorist model with a black mask instead of the green one but now it’s just the green mask one
Actually you are wrong. Both Condition zero and CSS was done by turtle rock. And Condition zero had other developers like ritual entertainment and gear box but they couldnt finish the game because of some mismanagement from valve.
You're right that I was wrong. CZ came out before CSS, but CZ started with Rogue Entertainment, then got passed to Gearbox, then to Ritual Entertainment, and then Turtle Rock. For CSS, Turtle Rock only assisted Valve in development, notably the bot AI and 7 maps for the game.
I'd instead argue that perhaps factions are still in the game just under a different name/type. Furthermore, one could make a conclusion that the agents now resemble factions. We have agents from multiple operations and will have more of them in the future thus one could conclude that each set of agents (operation wise) might form a faction.
I'm sick of comments like this, I'm all for free speech that's why I don't delete comments but this isn't a political discussion no matter who you do or don't support.
