Well, back in the day, those were the only colored contacts you could get. Personaly I remember them being very comfortable, I just hated them because they were fake looking. You know as you start wearing contacts, you become very picky when it comes to contacts, you spot imediately when someone is wearing them. With Solotica lenses it is not that obvious, but I notice them too. But Freshlook colorblends, I mean, come on, guys, you haven't changed anythins for what, 20 years.
I was lucky. My eye doctors office carried FreshLook Colors and Colorblends, Biomedics Colors/Cover Girl Colors, Expressions Colors, Acuvue 2 Colors (GOD how I miss these), Durasoft 2&3 Colors and Durasoft Complements, Illusions (LOVED these) and Natural Touch (Baby you couldn’t tell me NOTHING once I upgraded to these). Lowkey I miss so many of the old school lenses. Illusions was honestly the most natural based on their design. If they EVER bring those back I’ll switch from O-Lens and other Korean and Japanese One Day lenses and go back on my Illusions Soft Blue vibe💯
Hi Malrie 👋 🤗! Back in the day, I use to love wearing the regular freshlook colors in the color hazel, wore them for years! didn't really look hazel, it reminded me of solotica tupis brown... As far as the freshlook colorbkends line, I wore the colorblends grey, that was the only color that looked the most natural on me. It looked great on you by the way! Like you said, there are much better options out there now! Thanks for the review❤
Honestly for Freshlook Pure Hazel, I’d dupe them for Hapa Kristin’s “Bittersweet Olive Brown,” which is way more blended and smaller in pixelation. For Honey, I’d pick the “Bittersweet Amber Brown” from the same line, which are pretty much an exact dupe, but scores more natural. They’re also monthly lenses, like Freshlook, but way more comfortable! PS: I believe Air Optix is being coined as the upgraded Freshlook, with better comfort, and similar design.
Hi Mal, if you don’t mind, what diameter are your pupils? Mine are 14.5 and wondering if getting the correct size makes a difference after a vision exam with an optometrist? I got a vision exam and my contacts from Dubai fit perfectly ❤
Freshlook colorblends were the only color contacts that looked authentic. Ig it depends on the person and their own eye color. People often thought that they were my real eye color and i tood them no they are prescription. They would say wow u can't tell, they look so natural and really good on you." I read that they discontinued them bc they werent popular. I wish i wouod e known ahead of time bc i would've stocked up lol. They dropped the ball when they stopped making these bc as i said all of these color contacts i see now look obviously fake and like somwthing you would only wear for Halloween.
They discontinued them. I RACKED UP in a few shades in my RX once I found out. Call me crazy but personally I find them more comfortable and feel they look better than the air optix colors. I do like some of the dailies colors though. I have switched to one day colored lenses primarily. If you can get your hands on them and loved the original FreshLook ColorBlenda shades they make FreshLook CC Lens One Day in Asia. I LOVE them
oh nooooom i just bought them T_T, have you tried the freshlook colored daily version ? are they equally as bad? I don't know what brands are good man i've never tried colored contacts :c
Do you know a dupe for the Pure Hazel? I loved the color on me but I don’t like how you can tell you’re wearing colored contacts (bug eye effect on me).
Omg, I used to wear this brand in the shade turquoise, now I can't see the photos of myself wearing those lenses, as you said they were like pixel looking and very unnatural, I don't know what I was thinking I that time that I felt that my eyes look stunning(10 years ago). Last year I bought them again because I was wearing only lenses in the shade green for another brand and they didn't have turquoise in their lenses, so I thought "why don't I buy again the turquoise of freshlook?' , I was excited because I was looking for lenses with a bluish kinda vibe, but I wanted that they weren't completely blue and imagine my surprise when the lenses arrived and I put them in my eyes? Yeah, I couldn't wear them outside my home because I looked scary 😂, I mean, my eyes looked like doll eyes and the color blend was soo harsh that people far from my could tell I was wearing lenses, my friend told that "I looked curious (aka weird) with those lenses", in fact, I knew I didn't look well with those lenses, so I only wore them at night until they reached the limit for its using time and throw them away
is it just me...all i can hear is she is complaining about all these contacts from start to finish....honestly they don' t look bad at all. what is she on about!
After wasting my hard earned money on useless solotica and desio, I went back to buy oldie but Goldi freshlook colorblend grey, the only lense I wear without looking like a total zombie
Air Optix is like solotica. If you have dark brown eyes dont wast your time buying brown contacts especially from solotica. You would have to spend and waste hundred of dollars on solotica contacts lens to find your right color. And once you open u wont get a refund. And refund is not worth it it will cost you more to return then the lenses cost. Beware
