Ghana needs that project of marina drive. They can build it step by step for ten years. Ghana needs to step up they have a lot of waterfront.use it.

This project has not taken off but there are many other projects that have started and completed. Pokuase interchange, new harbour in Takoradi, Kejetia phase 2 etc. Hopefully it will come to fruition one day.

Built by who? the Chines and other outsiders, is that progress?

@@jimtripman9002 For your information, most of the major road projects ongoing in Ghana are being undertaken by wholly Ghanaian owned companies. Maripomah Engineering Limited, First Sky, Kofi Job etc. Don’t say what you don’t know.

@@donnbiggie Well they are doing a terrible job going by the road that I see. If you are satisfied with the minimum, that is ok.

And if this project has been done! Ghana will be a better place and the government will have additional money for their DGP! If I'm right!

This is a Joke, This project would be built by who, the Chines and other outsiders, until we have the engineers and governmental organisation and the industrial base to do this ourselves it should not be done. Typical Ghana.

Ghana does not need a tourism investment projects, Ghana needs to develop well organized agricultural sector food production and processing and packaging industry combined with medium size mechanical industries, improvements in education so that Ghanaian engineers can build roads with proper sidewalks for pedestrians instead of contracting everything to the Chinese and other foreigners. Getting the Chinese to build infrastructure is a sign of failure.

Most of West Africa is not suitable for mass tourism. The climate is ether too hot and humid, too much rain or fogged in by Harmattan. Most westerners cannot differentiate Ghana from Nigeria. Tourism picks up in the Gambia and Senegal because they are more temperate regions and very geared up for tourism. European nationals do not require visas to visit either country.

They always do stuff like this in ghana lie, lie, lie about building this or that and then when time comes nothing is being completed 🙄🙄 this is why I stop listening to Ghanaian Gov't they LIE too much 😒

Maybe, we in the private sector and private citizens should also help governments or the nation at large with building when we think it's good for the country than always thinking government can do it all and thus being disappointed every time. The government from day 1 has said the project is to be driven by the private sector. So it' secured the land and cleared it and set its vision. If it went ahead and put up USD5bn for the project, we're the same citizens that will come and criticize it in the era of a cost of living crisis. I'm glad we can see we all need to get involve in this for it to come to fruition.

We don't have the internal capacity to do these projects ourselves.

Who needs an art center? what we need is the organization and industrial base to do these projects ourselves, and who pays? where is the money coming from? so we give more jobs to the Chines and not Ghanaians who are only fit to do the donkey work.

After 6 years and nothing has happened along with other projects that was supposed to have started years ago in Ghana it seems like Ghana is all talk with no action meanwhile places like Nairobi Kenya is booming many cities in South Africa are well developed but Ghana is still far behind 😥

@Eric B, there's a worldwide economic crisis right now and my third home is South Africa after England and Ghana (where my husband comes from), and I can tell you now that South Africa's economy is on the verge of collapse becoz of theft and mismanagement of funds by the ruling ANC Party. If a new leader is not elected in the next elections trust me South Africa will become like Zimbabwe soon. I think Ghanaians need to give this project a bit more time becoz we're in a global recession right now.

You sound like a fool. Ghana is the fastest developing nation in Africa. The delayed completion of 1 project doesn't change that.
